The service was kinda slow, but they were friendly. I ordered a total of four drinks and had to ask for a drink holder. That's always been my pet peeve. Like you seeee that there aren't four of us in here. Nonetheless, recommended! And I'd go back for sure.

My fiancé and I picked up a couple of drinks this morning from On The Grind, and our stomachs are royally paying for it. I'd like to start out by saying that the baristas were super delightful and cheerful despite having just opened up while it was still dark outside at 5 am. They were great, I just wish I could say the same about the drinks. We ordered the Sandlot, blended with 'the works,' and an iced Grasshopper alongside a Blueberry Muffin Top. The Sandlot was supposed to be a s'mores beverage, but the flavors were too muddled to identify anything resembling a s'more. The syrup was too sweet and chemically and did NOT work well with the chocolate. It felt like they were at odds against one another in the drink, there was absolutely no marshmallow taste, and to top it all off the espresso was burnt. We had to really mix the chocolate up from the bottom to try to cut said burnt espresso taste, but that just made the clashing of flavors even worse. The Grasshopper was sour. I initially thought it might be the creme de menthe battling with the white chocolate as the flavors once again did not balance with each other in the slightest, but no, the drink was sour. This drink was not mixed well, the burnt espresso growing more offensive with each sip. We'd hoped the Blueberry Muffin Top would help get rid of the downright foul and lingering taste of these drinks from our tastebuds, but it just added to the chaos tasting like a slightly more upscale Little Debbie mini muffin, chemicals and everything. It was too sweet and needed something more bitter to pair with it, but the coffees were far too nasty and bitter to warrant consumption. My fiancé and I will typically finish drinks that we've purchased, even if we're not fans of them, since we consider it a waste of money not to. We put these beverages down after we consumed a little less than a quarter of each one because they were legitimately undrinkable. Between the burnt espresso, sour liquid, and disgusting syrups, we had to tap out. We couldn't even make it through half of the Muffin Top. I'm thankful that we didn't force ourselves to eat or drink more of these because we are in wicked physical pain right now. If I wasn't so ill I would be more livid as an ex-barista that they thought it was okay to serve these to customers. I'd leave a one star for the garbage quality and food poisoning alone but the baristas genuinely were so kind to us, so it gets two.

7 BREW COFFEE -- YOUR EMPLOYEES DESERVE BETTER!…read more I hope someone from 7 Brew's corporate leadership or franchise ownership takes the time to read this. Let me start by saying that I LOVE 7 Brew! I'm a loyal customer who spends plenty of money at your locations. Whether I'm in San Antonio, traveling across Texas, or visiting another state, if I see a 7 Brew, I'm stopping! But there's something that has bothered me for quite some time. WHY AREN'T WE DOING MORE TO PROTECT YOUR EMPLOYEES FROM EXTREME WEATHER? Here in San Antonio, Texas, our summers are BRUTAL! I've watched these young employees standing outside, sweating their butts off while taking orders in the scorching heat. Now, I want to be fair. I have noticed that employees rotate between working inside and outside, and I absolutely appreciate that. But rotating employees doesn't eliminate the need to protect them while they're outside! I've visited several 7 Brew locations, primarily around San Antonio, and I have NEVER personally seen fans, misting stations, canopies, or other equipment to help these employees stay cool. In fact, I've looked around some of these locations and noticed areas where a canopy or a couple of fans could potentially be installed. I've even gone as far as purchasing portable handheld fans with my own money and giving them to employees because I couldn't stand watching them work in that heat. Think about that for a moment. I'm a CUSTOMER, spending my own money to help YOUR employees stay comfortable! And now, as colder weather approaches, I'm thinking about those same employees standing outside in freezing temperatures. Where are the appropriate heating options? The additional protection from the cold? Surely a company that continues to expand across the country can find ways to invest in basic equipment that helps protect the people making that growth possible. I'm not asking for anything extravagant. I'm talking about shade, fans, cooling equipment, and safe, practical solutions for cold weather. To 7 Brew's corporate leadership and franchise owners, I have a challenge for you: Visit your locations during the hottest part of a Texas summer. Stand outside alongside your employees while they're taking orders. Then come back on a freezing winter morning and do the same thing. Ask yourselves whether you'd want your own children standing out there without additional protection from the elements. Because that's what I see when I pull up to your locations. Young men and women working hard, smiling, greeting customers, and doing their jobs regardless of the weather. These employees are the FACE of your business! They're the reason your customers receive the service they do. And while I recognize that working outdoors is part of the job, I also believe that providing reasonable protection from extreme temperatures should be part of running the business. I don't know what policies or equipment may exist behind the scenes. I'm simply sharing what I've personally observed as a frequent customer. If I can recognize a need and spend my own money trying to help, surely the people who own and operate these locations can recognize that same need. I love 7 Brew, and I will continue supporting the business. But being a loyal customer doesn't mean I should remain silent when I see an opportunity for a company to do better. 7 Brew, your employees show up every day to take care of your customers. WHO IS TAKING CARE OF THEM? I'd genuinely love to hear from 7 Brew about what additional steps can be taken to protect employees working outdoors. From a loyal customer who believes your employees deserve better. #7Brew #7BrewCoffee #SanAntonio #EmployeeSafety #EmployeeWellbeing #TexasHeat #TakeCareOfYourEmployees
