These people seriously don't know up from down!!! 1st they said the cleaning would be delivered on Thursday. That didn't happen. Called on Friday and was told I could pick it up that day after 4pm. Saturday I went to pick it up to be told I need to go to Elmhurst to pick it up because AGAIN they screwed up. This place is a dumpster fire. NEVER USE THEM. STUPIDITY at it's finest! read more

I'm a few years late but I had my wedding dress cleaned her and after I picked up I just left in the bag and put away.. fast forward to this year I went to get it preserved and this dress has not been cleaned.. the bottom was pretty much black from dirt... the place that's preserving it sent me pictures of the before and after. not sure if my dress got skipped but on the receipt they added $160 to get the bottom of the dress stains out which weren't even touched. read more

I have been a loyal customer of Breens since I moved here last July. Avit is very kind and friendly and helpful with assisting me. I figured I would drop her name considering the numerous times she has assisted with my dry cleaning needs. The quality of work is phenomenal and affordable, most of all they are efficient! There always on time; I have never had any issues with picking up my items when I was told they would be ready. This part isn't a complaint, more so informative that alterations and dry cleaning are done off site. Two different times I had garments repaired, upon pick up the bill was higher than expected because the items weren't just repaired but also dry cleaned, though it was specified at drop off I did not need or want them dry cleaned. I continue returning to Breens because both incidences were handled professionally and respectfully so, as they did not require my payment of the unapproved dry cleaning. read more

Last summer I had a dress that needed a repair done, I made it clear I wanted just a repair and not a wash, yet I arrive to pick it up and it's not fixed and it is washed. I drop another dress off this summer to get repaired (I should have learned after the first time, and not have gone back here), making it clear again that I want it repaired and not washed, and of course the same thing happens- it's washed and not repaired! They charged me for the wash as well. When I arrived the second time to pick the dress up after the repair, I got the repair for free as a credit, but the wash was more expensive then the repair‍. Long story short, I leave this place very frustrated and would not recommend to anyone! read more

Very disappointing. I dropped off a dress and asked for the belt to be sewn over the elastic waist and apparently the directions were unclear so the seamstress sewed the belt on one side of the dress. Why do they ask for a phone number and not use it? I need this dress for a business trip tomorrow. I was told that the counter person didn't have the authority to deduct the cost from my bill. After my protests she called someone who could help, and he gave her the okay. They did tell me to bring it back after my trip and they would do it correctly. I will never again trust a dry cleaner that doesn't do dry cleaning and alterations in house. It appears that dry cleaning and alterations are done off site and bright to the store front. If I could give Breen's more than 5 stars I would. I don't write reviews too often, but I was so impressed by the service I received, I felt it wouldn't be fair to keep it to myself. Long story short, I had special ordered my bridal gown and after 7 months of waiting for it to arrive, I was deflated when I pulled it out of the box to find a faint stain right in the middle of the gown. I took it to a local dry cleaner in Hinsdale who refused to touch it for fear she would ruin it. I called Nordstrom's bridal suite to find out if they had any recommendations and they swore by Eric Armstrong at Breen's Cleaners and gave me his contact info. I called Eric right away and was a bit frantic on the phone explaining him the situation. He immediately calmed me and without ever meeting him, I trusted to send my dress wherever he was for him to take care of it and do a spot treatment. He had me drop it off at Breen's in La Grange on a Monday afternoon, they sent it out to him in DeKalb and he called me the next morning to tell me he had been able to get he spot out without any issues. He had it taken back to La Grange on Tuesday afternoon for me to pick up. I rarely experience service like I did here. I had been so stressed about my dress and Eric genuinely cared enough to treat me like a VIP client he had been working with for years. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Eric/Breen's Cleaners. I will recommend them to anyone!!! Thank you again! read more

I am so happy since making the switch to Breen's Cleaners. The friendly and helpful staff got me setup on their weekly home pickup & delivery service. With 3 little kids it is often difficult to get into a store to drop off and pickup clothes. The door to door service 2x a week has made my life so much easier! read more

After a tuxedo shirt fiasco here, I gave them another chance. How hard could cleaning a couple shirts be? I got a shirt back with a stain right in front. I have been to other cleaners who have failed to get stains out, but I have always been told something to the effect of "Hey, this was a tough stain and we tried, but we couldn't get it." Did I get such a courtesy from Breen's? Heck no! Crappy service. Don't go here. I'd just like to add that the name Breen's used to mean something in this town. read more
