I understand that offices have policies, but I was disappointed there was no flexibility or willingness to accommodate my situation, even with the understanding that I would complete X-rays after pregnancy. Preventive dental care, including cleanings, is especially important during pregnancy, which made this experience even more frustrating. I left feeling unheard and unsupported as a long-time patient. I hope the office will reconsider how they handle situations like this in the future so patients can make informed choices about their care while still receiving necessary treatment.

I've continued to be impressed with the welcoming nature of their front end staff(while I'm waiting a few minutes first thing in the am, I overhear their am staff meeting--communication about the daily flow also chatter/giggling at the end--I know from my hygienists that the Dr takes them on team building trips even out of country! It appears their team culture is strong/tight), the friendliness/efficiency/memory of many of their hygienists (every 6mo visit they'll always ask me about something specific in my life that I'd shared last time--they must take notes!), the friendliness and quality of care from Dr. Chelsea (always making sure there's nothing else I'd like addressed). Their entire operation appears to be run like a Swiss watch, after my cleaning I check with the front desk on any payment and they're already telling me I'm good to go as insurance covers it. I had no idea I wasn't getting a root canal until, I called about my claim being denied because it wasn't a root canal. They are completely different sizes and lengths than the ones I had for 16 years. I have stated how unhappy I am and it's been an ongoing back and fourth between them and the lab they use who create the teeth (Functional Art Studio). Well I finally got the information that they would redo them but I would have to pay another $2500. So clearly they don't guarantee their work. So. sad that I now rarely smile with my teeth because I am that uncomfortable with how they look. I have pictures to prove the big differences and also the new C curvature that has made my bite different too. Even the lab tech that created the new crowns when I showed him before photos said that the teeth he made he made narrower and shorter because HE thought that is what would look best. He had a MOLD of my old teeth that he strayed away from... why?! Super disgusted with the lack of customer service from both of these companies. Don't waste your time going here.

Went into his office thinking I was getting my wisdom/s pulled and he wanted to save my tooth (knowing worst case scenario I would need a root canal or my tooth pulled). I was more than happy to give it a shot. Three days later I have no pain. The 2 dental hygienist that worked with me at his office were so educated, informative and caring. Alpenglow's is $100 to start then $35 a month which gets you 2 cleanings and x-rays each year and 15% off anything else. My x-rays were quite the adventure. I gagged one time which is normal for me. But the very nice and well-meaning hygienist wanted to help. She asked for a shaker of salt. Someone else in the office said she had one. She then comes over with a test tube of "salt" to put on my tongue to distract me so I wouldn't gag. I was highly suspicious... so I tasted some. It was citric acid. SO acidic it burned. They told me they were going to put a stripe of it on my tongue! So glad I stopped them! Just putting the story here so you can also stop them because wow that would have been awful if I'd just trusted them and had a mouthful of citric acid I expected to be a quick shake of salt. Besides that, I saw Jennifer Montgomery and really liked her. She taught me how to unlock my jaw which no one has ever taught me and I've had jaw issues since childhood. She did a thorough cleaning and didn't diagnose any problems that weren't there which is a huge problem in dentistry. Glad I found someone I can trust!

They had staffing issues. Covid was to blame and having a dentist from Portland who had to drive during snow season didn't help. Reading the good reviews of AlpenGlow, I went for my new patient appointment to get my teeth cleaned there on May 25, 2023. Due to a series of medical emergencies I had to cancel the next cleaning appointments but I went to them on November 14, 2024 and left feeling sad. After seeing what was the X-ray technician, then dentist who did gum check (I thought she was the hygienist because I never had a dentist do this), then I briefly saw THE hygienist as she peaked in the room to say she didn't have time to do my scheduled cleaning as I "needed deep cleaning that would require two appointments". I heard horrible gum numbers I have never heard in my life. I later showed my daughter the estimate and she said it was the 2nd high estimate she heard from them recently. I'm in my 70s and I have had some long-term dentists. I miss the one who retired as he took care of me and my four kids for over 27 years. I know the routine. Most dental appointments have been good for me, but I didn't feel good about the last appointment with AlpenGlow. I felt hustled and I don't even remember their names, if they gave them to me. No small talk. I also wasn't even shown my X-rays which I later realized no dentist has ever done that to me. I was told the X-rays were in the other room I didn't get to go into. Other dentists would have shown them and explained my options. Not sad now. My teeth were cleaned in one appointment by another dentist, and I felt the way I have about the good professional dentists/hygienists in my life and I'm going to return there. Saw my X-rays, no rush. Merry Christmas to me--I saved over $900! So glad I got a 2nd opinion. I got a normal cleaning with the addition of a deep clean of two teeth, not four sections. I only had a topical to help with pain on those two teeth. This is the first time in my life to be told I needed a deep cleaning. I realized that it had been almost one year and six months since they were last professionally cleaned. But somehow I needed a deep cleaning of two teeth. A few teeth below needed a little extra attention but nothing like those two teeth. I have never felt the need for a second opinion but I'm glad I got one. The office of AlpenGlow has a beautiful vista, but I am not willing to help pay for it.

Yes, I know, bad on me. I called Dr. Ben DeGraff's office at 8:00 in the morning, and the very kind person on the phone somehow had me in front of Dr. DeGraff before 11:00. By 1:00, my tooth was fixed, I was back to normal, and I had officially stopped being a dramatic dental emergency. Dr. DeGraff was great, fast, efficient, friendly, and very good at what he does. The whole experience from the phone call to walking out pain free was excellent. His office staff is amazing, the price was great, and I already have a teeth cleaning appointment set for next month like a responsible adult trying to make better choices. I would highly recommend Dr. DeGraff and his team. They took a very painful situation and made it easy, comfortable, and honestly kind of impressive. Thank you!
