It's like pulling teeth. I have had 3 cleaning which were fine and professional. In November they suggested I get 3 crowns. I had to pay $1500 to book the appointment. Less than 24h later I changed my mind. They said they could only do a refund by check. It is mid-February. I have called 9 times. I have heard every excuse in the book. The doctor needs to sign the check. There is a problem with which books. The only person who can tender the check is on vacation. The person in charge of billing is unavailable. The doctor is on vacation. They only send checks at the end of the month. It'll be done and mailed tomorrow. On and on. read more

I scheduled a visit specifically for jaw issues-my left side locks shut. I explained my symptoms, noted that I've done physical therapy and Botox to manage it last few months, but it's so painful and impossible to chew that I need a specialist. Instead, they used the appointment to clean my gums and recommended a $2,000+ deep cleaning plan over the next year, forgot I input insurance in my entry paperwork, told me to go to PT (even though I communicated I am already getting PT), and said to stop eating solid foods. read more

Update on My Case I recently went to another dentist to have the veneers Dr. Drew put on removed. The appointment took 6 hours in the chair because of how much damage had been done, and the removal process was very painful. Temporary veneers were placed while the new ones were being made, and immediately they looked and felt great. Most of the pain I had been living with from Dr. Drew's work was suddenly gone. I hadn't realized how much I was suffering until it was fixed. The new dentist explained that the difference came down to properly sealing the veneers -- something Dr. Drew had not done. He also did not completely get the veneers up to the gum line thus exposing dentin. The biggest thing was not one of the new temporaries fell off!!! I was so relieved! In contrast, the veneers Dr. Drew placed fell out 10 times. Now that my final veneers are on, I could not be happier. They are beautiful, comfortable, and exactly what was promised. See photo! I also requested my dental records from Dr. Drew. He delayed for weeks, and when he finally responded, he only sent a few items rather than my complete file. After I hired an attorney, the full records were eventually produced. This entire experience has shown me that Dr. Drew has been dishonest and dismissive, and I am pursuing a lawsuit to recover my money and seek damages. Please be warned: based on my experience, this dentist is not to be trusted with any procedures. He carries himself with an arrogance as if he is above the law... and I have paid the price. I bet there are more cases like mine out there. We intend to find out. read more

Listen to the rest. Find literally any other dentist in Bend. When you're in pain after their faulty work, they will tell you to "take advil" or "That's normal and will go away." 6 months later, it did not go away, had to wait for my insurance reset once this place squeezed every penny they could out of it. No human morals at this place. They do not care about your comfort, just your $. When they "fix" one thing, they mess up another, and also pressure you to do work outside of insurance even if your pain caused by THEIR previous work. Walking through those doors is, and always will be, one of the most regrettable decisions I've ever made. My teeth are far from perfect, but that's why we pay thousands to FIX it, not to make you more painful and literally argue with you about your pain when you go back 3 times. First time in for an exam in 6 years at Drew Dentistry and I had an awesome experience. Petra and Melissa were in charge of my care and they both made it a seamless and fun experience! Really felt like everyone was a friend me just walking in, very accommodating. Petra was amazing answering any questions I had and making things comfortable while they worked on my teeth, she was preemptively sensitive about any potential discomfort I could have as well which just added to the experience. Yesterday was my first appointment at Drew family dentistry. Upon entering the office, the staff could not have been more friendly, professional, welcoming, and putting me at ease. My technician, Petra was professional, and friendly. She immediately put me at ease. She was thorough in her examination as well as collecting data, including x-rays, pictures and personal inspection. Upon meeting Dr. Anne Scott, I was further put at ease by her professional demeanor, and equally is important her personal friendly and individual concern for my comfort in dealing with the copious amount of dental care that I am going to need. My total experience at Drew family dentistry, exceeded what I would normally expect, but reached towards the level that I personally demand for my healthcare in general. By far the best dental office I've ever visited! My husband and I are both patients here. I have never before had a dental office that I get excited to go to! Big shout out to Rochelle, Dr. James, & Tonya!!! From the moment you enter the clinic, there's such a warm and inviting ambience and an incredibly kind & vivacious staff. I could've spent the entire day chatting with them! The dental care was so incredibly thorough. The staff set clear & reasonable expectations and actively listened to any concerns/questions. Staff at Drew Family Dentistry have done an excellent job making appointments work for my family with little kiddos. The hygienists and dentist (Dr. Drew) are personable, professional, gentle, good with kids, and take time to seek out and act on feedback. Kendra is particularly awesome and I like how Dr. Drew takes time to talk with the kids and build rapport at each visit. I also appreciate how much data collection they do at every appointment so they can track slight changes in oral health over the long term. They seem very thorough with universal precautions so we feel safe coming in even during COVID. Lots of sanitizing, PPE, waiting in parking lot, testing for COVID prior to appointment, etc. Keep up the great work! read more

Unethical business practices from Drew Family Dentistry. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a dental office, and I am still dealing with the financial repercussions. Drew Family Dentistry Office is a financial bait and switch scam. Back in March of 2021 I went to Drew Family Dentistry to have a suspected cavity looked at by Dr. Scott. Before going to the office I sent in my BCBS insurance card and was told it was within network. After the evaluation and filling (second visit) I was encouraged to return for a cleaning. After my first two visits (the filling evaluation and the actual filling) I was told it would only be a $60 co-pay. I was told twice this was all it would cost. Three months later I received an un-itemized bill in the mail for $750 + a late fee. And nothing denoting the $60 I had paid. This was the first bill I had received. I assumed this bill was some kind of mistake, and so I called the office to figure out what was going on. I ended up speaking with the office manager (Pam Good Michelson) who quickly started yelling at me and arguing with me. Normally professionals are taught ways to calm down angry customers, but the office manager did the exact opposite. I was not angry until talking with her. I have now spoken numerous times with the office manager who basically blamed a past office employee for giving me false information about my insurance coverage. Needless to say this has been the worst experience I have had with any dental office. Drew Family Dentistry has been entirely misleading about my insurance coverage. Had I known my insurance barely covered anything (actually covered nothing!) I would definitely not have returned for another visit. The office had ample time and opportunity to inform me of this (three visits). Since then I have called and written certified letters demanding an explanation. The only response I got was another un-itemized bill with more late fees added. I can only assume that the dentist herself never saw the certified letter (office manager intercepted and ignored?) At most dental offices I've visited they've given me a sheet upfront for all work done with the cost evaluation before proceeding. Drew Family Dentistry provided me with nothing of the sort and no "Good Faith Estimate". It took me until recently (10 months!) to finally receive an itemized bill. Again, I was told the late fee would be removed, but it never was. The misleading and false information from the staff is simply unfair. As the office manager loves to point out it is legally fair, but morally it is far from it. Also, insurance aside; when I went in for my cleaning in April of 2021 the dental hygienist was repeatedly coughing. This made me very uncomfortable amidst a pandemic. The cough got so bad that she had to stop cleaning multiple times to have water or step out into the hallway. The reason I am making this review a year later is because I am still dealing with this issue and had hoped it would be rightfully resolved before I wrote a review. This review is a warning to any prospective patients. I highly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Crushingly Disappointed in My Last Interaction. Receptionist/Assistants refused to answer or get answers to questions Was told the staff was very busy and their time was really valuable so they couldn't answer my questions Was berated for not wanting to make a decision without the answers (Brenda) Was told I was wasting their time and that "Youve been going back and forth for days and calling us and you just need to make a decision" - I'd called with concerns over the weekend and they called back today. (Brenda) Explicitly told Brenda I felt she had been really inappropriate and I did not want to speak to her Was refused time to consider a change in appointment due to a medical emergency Was told if I held off on the surgery and my tooth became infected they would not prescribe another round of antibiotics Brenda told me their time was too valuable to call me back Bonnie kept time of the phone call ("We have been talking to 23 and a half minutes") Bonnie attempted several times to cancel my appointment without my consent "Well now YOURE interrupting ME" when I tried to stop her from canceling my appointment (was doing this without my consent) "I guess I'm not sure why a limited exam is necessary since all of my questions are about having the procedure done this week, and -" Bonnie cut off and said "well I guess you answered your own question." without offering any further assistance or guidance. Told me they were being nice by allowing me to cancel less than 48 hours prior (Was about 46 hours" Asked for 24 hours and Eileen complained about how only Pam could make that call; was audibly frustrated and told me she'd "try and get back" before the end of the day but still adhered to the 48 hour policy. Had to explicitly ask for a call back on this. Was never told whether Pam or anyone else in the office signed off on this. When hanging up with Bonnie, heard her say "Oh my GOD" before she put the receiver down. I am coming off a traumatic injury and surgery which has left me without the use of my dominant hand for about 3 months. I had questions I needed answers to that had been posed by my other doctors and I could not get any accommodation to facilitate this. I myself became incredibly frustrated and was without question a pretty unpleasant person to work with (for which I wholeheartedly apologize to the entire team), but this is the most discounted I have ever felt. A patient paying for services should never be told that someone's time is too valuable to talk to them; I felt pressured into keeping an appointment for a wisdom tooth extraction I did not know I could physically tolerate. They are a well-respected practice and I am severely disappointed in the interaction, both their part and my reaction to it. read more

Very happy with Dr Drew. I had a cracked tooth and infection starting. They went out of their way to take care of me even though I had never been to his office. My husband had. Everyone was so nice. I switched to Drew Family Dentistry after a less than positive experience with a different dentist in town. I cannot say enough good about my experience at this practice today. The two ladies in the office, my awesome and funny hygienist, Kindra, and Dr. Drew were all so kind and knowledgeable. It was a very thorough exam, and I never felt rushed or pressured to get unnecessary work. In fact, I ended up needing less work than I had been told I'd need by the previous dentist I'd seen, and I was thrilled to find out the procedure I thought I'd need to go to an oral surgeon for could be done by Dr. Drew during the same appt as my fillings.
