Great setting overlooking Lake Conroe. A wide variety of tables and benches and very dog and family friendly. They have been going through a renovation so the menu has been limited to grilled burgers and chicken. They should be fully operational again soon. Menu is still like an upscale snack bar. If I could give zero stars I would. Whatever manager was here was a condescending a*% my wife's food was wrong so we asked for something different then her food didn't come out the entire time we were there. When i asked for the sandwich to get compt it magically appeared on our table followed by the kitchen manager "Red" . The most condescending unprofessional manager I've ever been in the food, industry or industry for that matter. He pretty much apologize for me and my wife being ignorant to their menu. And then told me he would not call my food, but he would give me a discount. They also completely forgot our fried pickles that we ordered, and there was no apology about anything. Had lunch there today. Not many people were there but the service was really slow. I had the hotdog and tater tots it was lack luster, the LARGE hot dog was by all means not any larger than a normal hotdog from the grocery store. The tots were few the folks I went with had the same complaints. A bit overpriced for what we were served, at best the small hotdog should be less than 5$. Ridiculous, not sure what they have been working on but left us very unimpressed. Probably won't go back. Sad really. read more

We came to Breakwater on a Sunday, they were not prepared for a large group and unfortunately were understaffed. The alcohol mix drinks weren't very good and it took forever to get food. Definitely would not recommend for large groups. Probably just a nice place for someone who just wants a beer in a can. read more

New in the neighborhood. So we went there on a Thursday evening had a good crowd. Menu was small regular bar food. We ordered fried pickles to start then ordered street tocas and quesadillas the food portions were good. Food had really good flavoring and came out quick. Will definitely go back. read more

So....let me start by saying we were here Thursday evening and had great service. Not so much tonight. Our waitress who encouraged both positive & negative feedback on FB was Felicia. Be noted that we were her only table. One table left shortly after we arrived and another didn't stay when they saw the scaled down weekend menu. Here's the feedback you requested. The issues we had were she was not knowledgeable about the BWG specific drinks , despite numerous attempts to understand her explanations and requests for clarification, she never asked someone to help her with the items I asked about and she was very inattentive. The first time I asked if she could explain the sangrias she told me to hold on and she walked off where she proceeded to socialize for a long time. I finally caught her eye and she came over and asked me if I had decided what I wanted to drink. I reminded her that I wanted to know about the sangrias. She seemed surprised then began, rather incoherently, rattling off various liquors in the punches. I, again, reminded her that I was asking for sangria and she responded, oh yea there's red and white. What I wanted to know was what fruits and ingredients were in the sangrias...specifically the BWG sangria. There's no way for me to know what's in that unless I'm told. After a long unclear explanation she brought 2 samples...neither one was the BWG sangria. I gave up and ordered the same happy hour punch I drank Thursday evening. We watched the bartender make my punch then watched Felicia socializing with a bunch of staff members again for a long time. When she got to our table she said in amazement, they haven't brought your drink out? She went and retrieved it, then claimed in had just finished being made. Uh, nope, we watched it sitting there. We asked for the check after that. When she brought the check she charged the regular prices versus the happy hour prices, as requested. Now, this is what really turned me off....she expressed surprise and made a comment along the lines of, oh well I'll change it the whatever to make you happy. Uh, well I'm just asking for the price listed on the happy hour board. She finally asked someone for help with the check and it was determined that she needed a manager to fix the error. She came to our table and told us she needed the manager to address the issue and to change the price for us. The tone she used seriously felt like we had done something wrong. We did not. The manager told us she rang it up wrong. Ringing it up wrong in itself is no big deal...the response to fix it was my concern. When we paid our check she reminded us that she was new...she started last week. I get it...bring new is tough, however, there are 4 punches & 4 sangrias on the happy hour menu. By putting them on the HH menu you are advertising them and want customers to choose them. That being said...it's the wait staffs responsibility to KNOW them. And if you forgot, no biggie...ask someone. This experience was rough. I'm glad we went Thursday because that helps us realize there can be good service there...just not from Felicia tonight. read more

I was wary of trying this place out because of the messaging of bad service but nonetheless, it was a walk away from our condo. Upon arrival there was the only waitress cutting limes at the bar. We went outside and were promptly asked what we would like to drink. There were some $4 Labor Day cocktails that didn't taste like any liquor touched the cup and then some $3 beer cans. We stuck with the beer after the Lemon Drop punch and the Tequila Sunrise punch. I ordered Buffalo wings with celery and carrots as well as shoestring fries with Cajun seasoning. When the waitress brought out the Buffalo wings, she forgot the fries. When she came back with the fries, they were not seasoned. Been hearing about this place & decided to drop by. Great service from "Corbett?" The atmosphere was relaxing and had a super chill vibe. I can't begin to tell you how great it was to go there after a long trying week! The burger & coconut shrimp were great, not at all greasy tasting! Cheese sticks also crisp and not -greasy- sadly we stuffed ourselves and went ahead and got the funnel cake fries & tres leche & again ...NONE of it disappointed! It began to downpour when we were seated outside, staff quickly accommodated us and helped us move inside. Lots of happy smiles from customers and bar was chill. The drinks are stiff and everything was reasonably priced. Only downside to this place was the loud, incessant cursing from the pre-teen, unsupervised boys next door in the pool (which this grill has no control over). The food here is mediocre at best. The prices are great, mostly because they subsidize all the losses with my neighborhood association dues. The service is absolutely terrible. The bartenders don't know how to make real drinks, the servers are all kids, and the attitudes are all poor. It is also falling apart inside... They have some sort of external air conditioning unit now hooked up that looks like it belongs in a disaster recovery zone. read more

Awful service. Walked out after waiting 20mins for two drinks. They weren't even busy. The manager had to tell the employees standing around that they had a table. Then someone finally came over. Took our order of two drinks , bar took about ten mins before making them. Then they sat for another 7 mins before the waitress came out of kitchen eating, to then stand around and talk and ignore the only two drinks waiting to be taken to a table. We were here a couple of weeks ago on a Friday night. There was live entertainment outside. Very good and entertaining! He really played for and with the crowd. The food was fine for an outdoor venue. Picnic tables were great for burgers and fries. You can't be disappointed by the fabulous view of the lake. Our service was good, prices were reasonable, but we were sold on the outdoor venue. It's a great place to take the kids and enjoy a family evening. Look forward to going again soon. read more
