Bad Service Bad Food Took my daughter and grandson to lunch yesterday for their birthdays. Service was terrible server could not understand English or speak it, messed up my order. Took three times to get it right. Grandson said his fajitas were OK. I'm not OK with an extra dollar because he ordered beef. Food is already really expensive here even a lunch menu. My daughter's rice was not Mexican rice it was just colored rice. The sauce on the enchiladas did not look right not the right color. Besides screwing up my taco the Chalupa instead of being flat was on a cup tortilla upside down when they put everything on it, it just falls off so I had basically a salad with some runny beans in it. On top of all that they overcharged my daughter's rice and two enchiladas, charged her three different charges ended up being $16 for two enchiladas and some rice. I did not realize the overcharge until I got home. Call back to speak to a manager had to call twice because he wasn't there. He really didn't seem to understand English either I'm complaining and he kept asking me if I wanted on Uber Eats. Finally got through to him that I was complaining. He said he would put in a complaint form and someone would call me. Of course that's never gonna happen. Hasn't happened yet. Then last night I was sick. Pretty sure it was from the awful runny beans. Won't be back. read more

Probably the worst Mexican food I've ever eaten. The food was very bland and the portion sizes were extremely small. The refried beans were a joke. We ordered side salads and had to laugh when they were delivered to our table. read more

Location-kind of a ho hum looking place tucked into a strip center-does not do the food justice. Maybe the best quacamole I've ever had. Great selection of all the Mexican favorites and some nice surprises like spinach enchiladas, (amazingly delicious), and a seafood mix called the Sponge Bob (didn't try it but sounds fun!) Tortilla Soup was top shelf. Huge bowl! Had to take some home. To start, we ordered fresh guacamole and we watched our server, Jose Cruz, make it, not tableside but nearby. Ordered delivery for this place. Mexican enchiladas shoved to the bottom of the platter causing it to be soggy and not even possible to eat like an enchilada. Ordered a chicken taco plate for my kid and all we got was chicken and rice although the chicken and taco plate should come with flour tortilla taco with cheese at least and fries. For myself ordered tacos al carbon and got flour tortilla with only steak in there and nothing else. No salsa, with tortilla chips as well. read more

Ordered a bean and cheese burrito and large chips and queso and got completely ripped off... they served the "burrito" in a taco tortilla and they charges me 12 dollars for it. I paid 23 dollars for what you see in the photo and i gotta say, i am pretty upset. This is BS. Taco bell taste better and is a MUCH better value. DO NOT GO HERE!!! read more

TERRIBLE!!! EXPENSIVE!!! Walked in & placed a to-go order. Told it would be 15-20 min wait. After 15mins, our food was brought to us. We drove directly home which was 7mins away. The food was COLD!!! It was not even warm to touch---so DISAPPOINTED & UNHAPPY!!! We had tried food before & they had changed "cooks" & food wasn't good, but we wanted to try again since they are so close. WRONG!!! Food was particularly bland & very expensive-bad clumped rice, tacos very very soggy, & the quesadillas barely had any cheese on them. NEVER TO RETURN!!! Had the pleasure of visiting here this afternoon. The margaritas were incredible, the house mix was refreshing with out being sour or sugary. The best part of our visit was interacting with our waiter Jesus who kept our drinks full and was extremely attentive. The fajitas were delicious and a fajita for one was enough to fill both my boyfriend and I with left overs. Once again thank you Jesus for providing us with such outstanding service! read more

We've been coming here for years. Tonight will be the last time. Stuffed jalapeños were soggy and no cheese or ground beef. We ate less than half of one. I had a combo #3 and the fajita was the worst I've ever had anywhere. Something was sour and the melted cheese was somehow ice cold. My wife's nacho compuestas were also cold. No questioning why we didn't eat our food. $56 later I'm still hungry. read more

The three main reasons I am giving this restaurant a 5 star rating: quality of food, quality of service, and the clean & separate party room which gave privacy for our wedding rehearsal dinner. The decorations shown are mine, but the staff kindly let me come early in the day to set up; they arranged the tables as I asked and cleaned and disinfected tables, chairs, and floors as I set up decorations. The manager Eric and also Eleazar were both polite and accommodating. The groom (my son) and my future daughter-in-law visited other Mexican restaurants in town and the quality of ElBosque fajitas was their top pick! I would choose this restaurant again in a heartbeat for a special occasion! read more

This place is better left alone. Service was given to all who were drinking beer and mixed drinks. I was forgotten about. Food was horrible. I am being nice by saying it was not edible. Never coming back. When i walked in it was dead and it took them 5 minutes to even acknowledge i was standing there. Got to my table and still waited 10 min for someone to take my order, i had to get up and tap on my waiters shoulder who was on his phone. Food finally came and my enchiladas tasted weird and not to mention this place is WAYYY OVER PRICED. 10 out 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. FORMER LOYAL CUSTOMER SINCE IT OPENED! I have eaten here as a go to for years. Until now! I have made many concerns to management. Lets start with the prices. I have always enjoyed the Traditional Taco meal. I now see the price has been raised 40%. Yes I am not joking. I have favorites so I didn't even look at the menu. I was surprised when the bill arrived. I don't understand how losing good customers doesn't matter to these restaurants trying to substitute cheap meat. To save additional money they have reduced the quality of meat to something that resembles a roast that you'd like to spit out every other bite. No more lean sirloin fajita meat like your accustomed to and expect. In fact, you folks that have eaten here for years, take a good look at the prices. What use to cost $10-$12 dollars is now $16-$19 dollars for less food and less quality. Shame on you for taking your neighborhood restaurant that people stop at during the week and weekend and turning it into something no one likes anymore. They even have an additional menu that looks fancy added to the regular one that shows other dished for about $18.00 each. There are two competitors that are Mexican restaurants within a mile of this one. I suggest eating somewhere else. Covid might not have closed your place down, but you don't have to make up for it by cutting quality and raising prices. read more

This place rocks! They have amazing food, amazing customer service and an amazing atmosphere.

This is the best El Bosque in the area. they must have a new cook every thing we order is great....and the service is A plus.

We just stopped by and picked up 'To Go' 22oz of yellow queso, 12 oz of white queso, and 22oz of salsa. At least that is what she said over the phone. Total was 38 dollars. No complaints there. They gave us a brown bag of chips, about equal to two baskets at the restaurant. I asked for more and they said they had to charge me. My thoughts are that this is ridiculous. I stopped by this location because it was in my route, but I'll definitely go to Mama Juanita's or the Big Sombero in the future as they are also in Montgomery and very good at customer service. This young manager was very rude when I asked and mentioned that I was taken back about them charging me for chips, and the other places do not when ordering the same thing, he very rudely replied, "we'll go there". I will for now on. And hope anyone else listening does as well. read more

Never ever again. We have eaten here a few times a year but tonight was it. A group of 12 on Friday night after a soccer game. It took 80 minutes to get our food. The restaurant had 2 other tables and they could not even keep us supplied w chips. Last time we will ever go here. read more

I had heard mixed things about this restaurant so I hadn't visited until a few days ago for lunch. I think their lunch menu is a little pricy. But the food was actually good. I ordered enchiladas and a taco..however the taco didnt have much flavor and no cheese. The enchiladas were very tasty. Chips and salsa were average. I was never sure who we were tipping because 2 different wait staff seemed to be sharing the table..so in that case do you tip for 2 people to share the tip??? All and all we will return but not often cause of the price. read more

Clean restaurant, friendly prompt staff and plenty of menu item choices. Sports on TVs in all the corners of the room. Good bar with heaps of specialty drinks and cold beer. Chips & warm salsa to start. I usually get something with carne asada (beef), either "tacos traditional" or the rolled up flour tortilla version. Always plenty of food and it's tasty too. What would make it a 5 star you ask... I'm not sure, but maybe something extra is missing here. It's just good Tex-Mex and 4 stars seems right. read more

Just had such a great experience for pick up. Staff was protected with masks, gloves, socially distant, packed up food in the trunk for us, never had to leave the car! First let me say the service was excellent! Then there was the "special" grilled chicken breast with shrimp, mushrooms, spinach in a sour cream sauce. Included pico, guacamole, charro beans and rice! Food was very fresh tasting! I don't usually get cream sauces because most of the time they're way too heavy sometimes just taste funky. However this was all great. I wasn't able to finish it so - lunch tomorrow! Great value! read more

We have given this place several chances. The food is just sub par. Nothing particularly horrible but just never very good.
