Chunky quacamole - a Jose Cruz creation (awesome server!)
    Cathy W.

Location-kind of a ho hum looking place tucked into a strip center-does not do the food justice. Maybe the best quacamole I've ever had. Great selection of all the Mexican favorites and some nice surprises like spinach enchiladas, (amazingly delicious), and a seafood mix called the Sponge Bob (didn't try it but sounds fun!) Tortilla Soup was top shelf. Huge bowl! Had to take some home. To start, we ordered fresh guacamole and we watched our server, Jose Cruz, make it, not tableside but nearby. He is a master of the quac! It was chunky with just the right mix of everything. I couldn't decide on which flavor of margarita so I ordered the flight! Favorite - BANANA. Who knew? A first.

Bean and cheese burrito and large chips and queso.

Ordered a bean and cheese burrito and large chips and queso and got completely ripped off... they served the "burrito" in a taco tortilla and they charges me 12 dollars for it. I paid 23 dollars for what you see in the photo and i gotta say, i am pretty upset. This is BS. Taco bell taste better and is a MUCH better value. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

Had the pleasure of visiting here this afternoon. The margaritas were incredible, the house mix was refreshing with out being sour or sugary. The best part of our visit was interacting with our waiter Jesus who kept our drinks full and was extremely attentive. The fajitas were delicious and a fajita for one was enough to fill both my boyfriend and I with left overs. Once again thank you Jesus for providing us with such outstanding service!

The service was excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised by how many vegetarian options they offered. We ordered the kimchi, kimchi fried rice, vegetarian dumplings, and mapo tofu. Every dish was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. The portions were also very generous--we had plenty of leftovers to enjoy later. It's not always easy to find restaurants with so many great vegetarian choices, so this was a wonderful find. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

The waitress was super nice, however it seemed like she just started and only had minimal knowledge about the menu items. The wonton soup appetizer was a very generous size and the wontons were tasty and the soup was very flavorful and light. The braised beef noodle soup was good but nothing special. The noodles were not uniform which makes me think they might have been hand pulled noodles. The pork xiao long bao was okay only because the broth had little flavor with minimal dimensions. The pan fried pork and scallion dumplings were crispy and quite flavorful. My diagnosis: good authentic Chinese option in the woodlands.

The lettuce was truly sub par - going bad with actual brown rot in some cases. When I got home I called and Brenden who answered the phone spent the beginning of the call telling me I was wrong about the lettuce. Not the best way to start. Long story short, in order to receive any recompense I had to bring the salad back to Panera and Brenden was just as delightful in person as he was on the phone. I got my $12 back and found something else for dinner somewhere else. I will likely not spend my cash at the Montgomery Panera Bread location again and add my voice to the rumblings I'd heard about this location to forewarn others. #panera

Its not a dry pot like the staff told me, but its stew soup is very umami to soak the rice in. It is still a hearty dish to eat. The pot is filled with beef, tripes, stomach, tendon, and veggies have carrots, daikon, and potatoes. Portion is very generous for the price, it was only $20. Service was fast, you order at the counter first then take your number and sit anywhere. The man was very patient explaining to me the menu, he recommended me the beef noodle and cold dishes, I know I have to come back again to try them. Also the restaurant offers free hot tea and rice too. The dining area may not be ideal for big party but still a cozy restaurant to get some hot warming soup on any cold days.

I ordered the Signature Braised beef Noodles soup, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The broth tasted very basic and lacked the rich, deep flavor I was hoping for. The beef itself was decent, some tender pieces and a few tough pieces. The soup was supposed to be the star of the dish, and it just didn't have the savory, slow-cooked taste I was looking for. Personally, I wouldn't order that soup again. That said, the portion was generous. Looking at other customer reviews, some reviewers specifically recommend the noodle dishes over the soups, while others mention that flavors can be hit or miss depending on what you order. Overall, my experience wasn't memorable.

They are located in the Stesti Food Hall and Beer Garden! The parking lot is small but free. There was plenty of parking when we arrived but the spaces are petite, ideal for compact cars and not larger vehicles such as trucks or SUVs. It's a bit of a tight squeeze either way. If you're unable to find lot parking, they have paid parking and free street parking along the neighboring street from what I observed. All of the staff throughout the hall will greet you as you walk past each of the perspective restaurants and bars on the inside. You will eventually make your way to Hup Noodle Bar! Such an earthy, vintage design with the decor. Plenty of areas to sit both inside and outside! Chef Cuong will greet you right away. His bright bubbly face with a huge smile will have you wanting to ask him all sorts of questions about his restaurant. He originally started with crepes and various French inspired desserts but had a passion for Vietnamese dishes!! His pride and joy are his chicken curry, number 1 and pho broth at number 2. Those two tend to sell out each day during the lunch rush! I got lucky because today was a bit slow as it was Valentine's Day! We ordered both along with their shrimp egg rolls! Pho with beef: Delicious and unbelievably comforting on a cold day like today! The basil leaves made it very aromatic! I could taste the star anise, cinnamon and ginger in this broth! It was slow cooked so as soon as the waitress sat it down, you got a huge whiff of all of the spices!! You took your first sip and it was so warm and tasty that, before you knew it, you were downing the entire bowl! Portion size is enough for 2. Curry with chicken: fragrant curry soup with bone in chicken! Lots and lots of coconut milk, ginger, red curry paste, a little lime, basil, cilantro, chile oil made for a very flavorful curry!! Loved the addition of the carrots and potatoes to add a bit of complexity in texture as you're taking a bite and sipping the soup!! Pro tip: Mixing the lime juice into the cup of salt and pepper levels up your dipping game when you go to dip the chicken in it! Use the bread to soak up the leftover soup if your goal is to leave no crumbs or leftovers!

Húp Noodle Bar is the second restaurant in Stesti Food Hall opened by Chef Cường, right next to his first restaurant Xèo Yum. This is a relaxed, open concept dining experience. You can pull up a stool at the bar or you can take a seat at one of the many tables in the food hall for more a more intimate setting. The food is amazing! The first time, I tried the King Kong Bowl and let me tell you this bowl would satisfy any monster appetite out there from King Kong to Godzilla! The broth tastes excellent. The meat is tender, flavorful and filling. Where else can you find high quality ribeye, prime brisket, meatball and beef short rib in one bowl. You can add filet mignon as well. The noodles are top notch and are some of the best I've had. If you've been to Xèo Yum, you can expect the same high quality food , excellent presentation and amazing service. If you've never been here before, trust me, you will not be disappointed!
