To die for
Jim B.

My wife and I stop here for nachos and a beer fairy often, and love it. Indoor and outdoor seating, friendly service, and just look at how beautifully presented those nachos are! Generous sides of guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. A curated and diverse selection of beers. Good people watching at the always-busy ice cream store next door.

First time here but a big fan of their beer. Pretty small place in a great location. Stopped in for a beer and a snack around 2pm. Maybe 6 other people here with one staff. We ordered the chips with pico and guacamole and a beer. The beer was excellent as expected and the $8 chips with pico and guac (large portion) didn't disappoint. I'd definitely come back.

This is Breakside, so the beer is good. My review is about the sandwich I'm eating. Their version of the club is fantastic. Lots of layers of flavor. The bread is delicious with the right amount of crunch. Come down and take the taste.

We stopped by here for a quick beverage after dinner as some of our friends wanted ice cream next door. The interior isn't as large as their other locations. I've always been a fan of Breakside as I enjoy their food. The employee working here was kind enough to serve us a drink as it was getting close to closing time.

Another brewery to hit up. Got the cider again. Not bad. Tried my girdfriends IPA, was okay. I'm not an IPA fan so this review is based on service, the inside, and my cider.

Giant pretzel with cheese and mustard

I was out with my family and happened upon this place while googling places for lunch in Lake Oswego. The first picture that popped up was their Bavarian pretzel and we were instantly sold! We tried both the pretzel and nacho, both being delicious. The pretzel is served with beer mustard and a smoked gouda/swiss cheese dipping sauce. It was soft, not too salty and I loved the cheese. The nacho was just as good with a lot of toppings. Both good portions, definitely enough for two. There are many beers to choose from, but they have a small menu. It is a nice space with seating inside and out. Overall I enjoyed the food and beer, would go back.

A great plave to be on a Sunday! My hubby and I had some free tome around 2:30 on a Sunday in LO, and decided to check out the Breakside spot! It is right next to Salt & Straw- so that could be a great detour from beer! And the staff is very friendly and helpful! I highly recommend ordering the pretzel!

Camo Hat

Such a cool and fun atmosphere. I didn't notice any food but there was a bunch of restaurants around there. It's more of a beer, drink and hang out place Had 2 beers and bought a camouflage hat.

Chicken added to the garden salad. YUCK

Come for the drinks, avoid the food. I ordered the garden salad with chicken and the meat they use tasted like a rubbery sponge. It is exactly the same chicken meat you buy pre-cooked and seasoned from Tyson's at the grocery store. It was so gross.

Gorgeous George pale ale

Breakside is the pinnacle of Portland brewing. This little outlet in Lake Oswego is the bodega to the larger Mothership locations. There's only two sandwiches, but they're amazing. Only one bartender, Andrew, but he's the best. Only 12 beers, but each one is an absolute banger. Location is unmatched. Everyone who works here truly cares about the craft of the beer and the food and it shows.

The brewery is aviation themed and the decor matches up with that quite well which gives the place a unique atmosphere. We had to different beers from this brewery. Both were solid and enjoyable. The first beer I had was a Mexican Lager. One of my favorite kinds of lagers. The name of this one was Midnight Mariachi. The flavors you will pick up with this beer are a malty and biscuity flavor. I might add this is a dark Mexican Lager as there are light ones as well. The other beer we had was an IPA. This one was called Island Jumper. Flavor features to enjoy with this one are citrus, tropical, some sweetness as well as bitterness and hoppiness. A very good IPA! Good stop for sure and fun brewery to go to if you are in the Tigard area.

Busy Saturday dinner service, while the food came quickly, we weren't checked on in a timely manner and sat for a good 30-40 minutes waiting for 1) the dessert menu, then 2) the dessert and then 3) the final check, and 4) flagging down the server to pay the check. It seemed like there was only one server for the whole dining area. Once those service kinks are worked out, I think this will be a great thing for Milwaukie.

Criticizing the staff, or accidents that happen, or because you did not get HH pricing by accident? Here is a honest review. Ancestry is good at what they do. You might wonder what they do? They create a space to grab a beer, bring the kids, talk and meet new people, eat consistent good pub food that comes out quick, and enjoy a moment before your next big adventure that lies ahead. Every time I come here the girls are running and I have a beer in my hand. Yesterday, my husband and I came for lunch and the two girls working were tentative, kind, working hard, and even took a moment to ask how everything was. We had two beers, fries, and split an entree. Support the local businesses in our area. Support their team working hard to make everyone happy. Support them, don't tear them down because YOU had one little picky comment to pick and make. Do not sit outside in the heat if it is hot, do not come to a local bar and be offended when they say hi to locals, and don't shame the staff because of their appearance. Instead, applaud their work ethic, support of one another, and consistency to keep going during the busy rush and always pour a consistent pint of Best Coast. Go TEAM ANCESTRY!
