I got the Beaverton Collab. It was a nice, light beer with a good bready flavor to it but crisp and clean as well in the flavor profile. I didn't catch who the brewery collaborated with but I more often than not really like beers that are collaborative efforts. There were two very sweet and charming dogs here which I believe were with the guy running the bar that day and that really made an impact on me as well. I love saying "hello" to sweet dogs and the fact that it was in a brewery made all the more fun. Another nice bonus was that there was a small popcorn machine where the popcorn was complimentary and that always makes for a nice snack. A really pleasant experience coming here and I'd love to make a return trip whenever I'm in the area.

This one fell kind of in the middle for me as far as fondness goes. Flavor features with this lager are some biscuity flavor and citrus and a clean aftertaste. The beer is light bodied and smooth. The other beer we had was the Madagascar Vanilla Porter. This was nice porter to have as Autumn is setting in. Flavors in this beer were Vanilla of course, creaminess and sweet. It was light bodied and smooth also. Vertigo Brewing didn't disappoint and was a fun stop to make and if you are touring breweries on this side of town this is a good stop to make.

But in hindsight, I'm not gonna reduce a star just because of location. * Bar Food Menu & Dining * Their menu starts with shareable bites, like a pretzel, tacos, quesadilla, loaded nachos, and even a charcuterie plate. Slightly larger dishes would be their Cubano and Brisket Press sandwiches. They even have a few choices for soup and salads, and a couple of dessert items listed. My buddy got a beer and a shot and we ordered our food. I went with the BBQ Brisket Sandwich. Normally, I get a burger or sliders, but it was on the seasonal menu and sounded good. I got it with a side of cajun tots. Then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. It took over an hour before we got our food. To be fair, an older couple that was seated outside right before we were seated inside got their food and about 7-8 minutes later we got ours, so they were making and delivering the food in the correct order. The large table next to our booth had 9 people and they got their appetizers early and then got the rest of their food after we did (they ordered after us, too). I will say the food was very good. I've read some reviews about the lack of meat on the BBQ Brisket sandwich - which is a whopping $25 -- but mine had enough. It does come on a large piece of sandwich, so the bread will fill you up. I couldn't eat everything and left a handful of tots on the plate, so I'm not complaining. From what I heard, the burger one of my friends got was very good and the beer and shot was tasty (aged whisky, I believe he said). Overall, it is a beautiful place. Fortunately for me, I had an experienced guide, otherwise I would have been lost upon getting out of my car. Lots of side areas for smoking cigars or tequila bars and I wouldn't have known where I needed to go to eat. The food was very good, but it took FOREVER. The waiter we had was excellent as well - he checked on us a few times and he recognized the food was taking a long time, but there's nothing he can do about that. The food came out around the order it appears they were placed, which is as fair as you can get. I would definitely come back now that I know where I'm going. It also had Chips, Cucumber-Pickled Ginger Tsukemono, which is a Japanese relish, green onions, and sesame seeds, and it had both a wasabi aïoli and a Sriracha aïoli drizzle. asked for the sauces on the side, because I wasn't sure how strong they would be. It was amazing! It was a giant portion. The chips were crispy, and not oily at all, there was a very generous portion of the tender poke. I loved the cucumber relish, and the green onion and sesame seeds also went very well with the Dish. I was pleasantly surprised with the two sauces. I could definitely taste the wasabi, and the aïoli kept it from blowing out my sinuses. I normally do not like Sriracha at all, but again, the aïoli mellowed it out. I put some of the sauces on top of the nachos, and also dipped some of the nachos in the sauces. Next time I would definitely have them on top. I had enough to take back to my hotel for a second meal. The price was very reasonable, considering the quantity of the quality of the food. For great meals at McMenamins, I am now 3 for 3.
