I don't make it to the west side of the Portland metro area often and there were some breweries I have been really wanting to try that were out that way. Three Mugs Brewing was one of them. I got the Beaverton Collab. It was a nice, light beer with a good bready flavor to it but crisp and clean as well in the flavor profile. I didn't catch who the brewery collaborated with but I more often than not really like beers that are collaborative efforts. There were two very sweet and charming dogs here which I believe were with the guy running the bar that day and that really made an impact on me as well. I love saying "hello" to sweet dogs and the fact that it was in a brewery made all the more fun. Another nice bonus was that there was a small popcorn machine where the popcorn was complimentary and that always makes for a nice snack. A really pleasant experience coming here and I'd love to make a return trip whenever I'm in the area. read more

Can't say I've ever had a beer in a industrial mall's parking lot but it's 2021 and here we are! I'm a new mom and have been w aaa i ti nggg so desperately for good weather (and the birth of my child, duh) to rekindle my occasional wine/beer habit, and (as per usual) thanks to Yelp found this local gem nearby and decided to give it a try. Did not disappoint; was just perfect to enjoy a round between baby feedings/care activities. The blood orange ipa (7% abv) was delicious and a welcome embrace back to the drinking scene. (Lol, as if with two kids this is gonna be a regular thing...) There are beers and cider (and a kombucha iirc) on tap, both homebrewed and guest brews, as well as a fridge full of cans and also growlers to go No food offerings, but there were tables outside who had pizza delivered Easy to find across Corn Pass from the Kohl's/Winco shopping center. Plenty of parking-- seems like you can just pull up in front of any garage that isn't active. The brewery is hidden away in an office park area - follow the signs from the street and you won't be disappointed. Three Mugs is serving up around 25 taps, mostly their own - I think it was just two or three guest taps. We both got different flights ($7). I really enjoyed the Damsel's Desire White Chocolate Ale (6.5% ABV) and the popular Three Mugs Mo' Honey Ale (6.9% ABV) was nice, easy sipping too. He worked with me to try and find a beer I liked. My partner had finished his pint before I found one. A kolsch and I've never had one until today! We had a great time there. Very friendly staff, music was great. And the beer was better than most places that we have visited. I had the Mac-Nut white chocolate beer which was amazing very refreshing and light. I would also recommend the Hoppy in paradise which was very strong and hoppy. Overall great experience they had food cooking on a frill someone was making some dogs which looked great but I didn't partake. Also at 1pm they had cigars for sale which was great. Just a nice garage style tap-house and brewery to come and relax at. I will be coming back here from time to time. Wonderful place. These guys are the perfect example of hometown feel. Tried them out for the first time this year and have had nothing but excellent service. Great beer of course! They have their own unique style which makes them different. They serve excellent popcorn as well are dog friendly. I'm an animal lover and beer lover so the combination is perfect with their different pups that act nearly as servers strolling by to check on you every now and then which is awesome. I stopped in here because I was in the neighborhood. The space is small, but they also have an upstairs. They have a number of ciders. I tried two, and they were very good. I also had a beer. The thing that I liked the best about it were the people. I, the guy beside me, the guy beside him, and the bartender talked for two hours about trucks, shooting, where we all were from, and our jobs. It is that kind of place. This beer is just bad. We were super bummed cause we really wanted to support small breweries. We've been here twice now. We weren't impressed after the first time but came back a few months later to give them another shot and we're still disappointed. They brew a lot of sub par beers instead of focusing on a few decent ones. Beer aside, the area feels dirty and the service is fair. Wonderful brewery in Hillsboro. I loved their beer and enjoyed sitting at a table near the open garage door; I visited awhile ago. Everyone was friendly and they poured honest pints. It's a great place to head to after playing a round or two of disc golf in nearby Orchard Park. So happy there are such good places to drink beer in Hillsboro without all the pretension, crowds, and expense of Portland. read more

Three Mugs is my new favorite local taproom! First time I went in, it was because I was buying computer parts across the street and noticed the sign out front. Originally planned to grab a quick pint and leave -- ended up staying for close to 2 hours trying different brews and talking with the owners/patrons. I had a MUCH better experience than I've ever had at a McMenamins because they really seem to know their stuff about beer and seem passionate about what they do. (Versus somewhere else were a server would rattle off whatever they memorized about the beer without really knowing/caring about the experience) Pros: - Large selection of beers on tap. Last I checked, 18+ including a few of their own! - Multiple CIDERS. Not just apple either. - Clean, cozy, modern atmosphere. - Great prices. Can either get pints, mugs (slightly smaller), or a set of tasters. - They can fill growlers. - Local. If you live anywhere near Rock Creek/Tanasbourne/Hillsboro, they're right here. Cons(?): - Somewhat limited hours. Not really the place to go late night as they currently close around 8pm, but great if you're just looking for a beer after work. - No food options. (Not really a problem for me, but figured it was worth mentioning) On the plus side, they will totally let you order outside food and have it delivered there for you to eat, hahaha. Overall, I definitely plan on coming back and bringing friends (and I have)! Really awesome to have a place like this on the west-side without having to drive into Downtown Portland. read more

The people are super friendly and will help with any beer brewing questions and help you get what you need.
