No frills local brewery with friendly service and great variety of beer. I got the white chocolate ale and oh my was it was incredible! My husband really enjoyed his mandarin pale ale beer as well. If you're lucky, you'll get free entertainment during your visit- Holly the corgi who is very cute and insistent you play fetch with her. Looking forward to my next visit! read more

Three Mugs Brewing - Breweries Near Me - Hillsboro, Oregon

I don't make it to the west side of the Portland metro area often and there were some breweries I have been really wanting to try that were out that way. Three Mugs Brewing was one of them. I got the Beaverton Collab. It was a nice, light beer with a good bready flavor to it but crisp and clean as well in the flavor profile. I didn't catch who the brewery collaborated with but I more often than not really like beers that are collaborative efforts. There were two very sweet and charming dogs here which I believe were with the guy running the bar that day and that really made an impact on me as well. I love saying "hello" to sweet dogs and the fact that it was in a brewery made all the more fun. Another nice bonus was that there was a small popcorn machine where the popcorn was complimentary and that always makes for a nice snack. A really pleasant experience coming here and I'd love to make a return trip whenever I'm in the area. read more

Can't say I've ever had a beer in a industrial mall's parking lot but it's 2021 and here we are! I'm a new mom and have been w aaa i ti nggg so desperately for good weather (and the birth of my child, duh) to rekindle my occasional wine/beer habit, and (as per usual) thanks to Yelp found this local gem nearby and decided to give it a try. Did not disappoint; was just perfect to enjoy a round between baby feedings/care activities. The blood orange ipa (7% abv) was delicious and a welcome embrace back to the drinking scene. (Lol, as if with two kids this is gonna be a regular thing...) There are beers and cider (and a kombucha iirc) on tap, both homebrewed and guest brews, as well as a fridge full of cans and also growlers to go No food offerings, but there were tables outside who had pizza delivered Easy to find across Corn Pass from the Kohl's/Winco shopping center. Plenty of parking-- seems like you can just pull up in front of any garage that isn't active. EDIT to add: you can gift beers ($5 donation) to local workers, which I thought was super neat; there's a list of currently funded personnel on the wall by the door. Check it out! read more

A variety of games to choose from, a little outdoor seating with a a nice bar, variety of taps and pleasant service. Free popcorn, too.

A great family-owned brewery! They're dog friendly, and host amazing events on the regular. Some of which include: Fudge & Craft Beer Pairings, Charcuterie & Craft Beer Pairings, Trivia, and more! They make a wide variety of beer that is sure to accommodate even the "non-beer lovers" in your life. A friend of mine "isn't a beer person," but LOVES their sour ales and white chocolate ale--yes, that's right, a white chocolate blonde ale. It's made with their very own white chocolate too! read more

If you love dogs, this is your spot! Honestly, the dogs were the main draw for me, but the beer is great, staff and regulars are friendly and the prices are fair. The brewery is hidden away in an office park area - follow the signs from the street and you won't be disappointed. Three Mugs is serving up around 25 taps, mostly their own - I think it was just two or three guest taps. We both got different flights ($7). I really enjoyed the Damsel's Desire White Chocolate Ale (6.5% ABV) and the popular Three Mugs Mo' Honey Ale (6.9% ABV) was nice, easy sipping too. There's a lot of options so you can't go wrong - plus you get to see either the brewery dogs or other regulars' friendly dogs! read more

Three mugs is one of those places where the most of the customers are regulars. Once you've found this place and experienced grabbing a beer, sitting outside with friends and eating food from the nearby food truck, it's like you've found your stomping ground. It's family owned, even their dogs are a part of the business! I 10/10 recommend this place read more

Popped in for a pre-dinner beverage at this quaint brewery that reminds me of small San Diego industrial warehouse purveyors. Friendly bar tender, cozy spaces to sit, and nice variety of very tasty brews. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Fun industrial garage style brewery. Tables and chairs setup and nice shade in the afternoon. Friendly dog at the establishment but will only visit if you have food. He refused to come see me no matter how much I called him over, lol! Biggie d's was a nice drink, and a solid 9% beer. Parking was easy and staff was nice. read more

Three mugs was an amazing experience. My partner and I love a fresh beer on tap. When we got there I wasn't sure what I wanted at all. The beertender/owner was amazing. He worked with me to try and find a beer I liked. My partner had finished his pint before I found one. A kolsch and I've never had one until today! We had a great time there. The fact that it's also doggo friendly is great as well. When I'm in the area again, I'll make sure to stop by! read more

Very friendly staff, music was great. And the beer was better than most places that we have visited. I had the Mac-Nut white chocolate beer which was amazing very refreshing and light. I would also recommend the Hoppy in paradise which was very strong and hoppy. Overall great experience they had food cooking on a frill someone was making some dogs which looked great but I didn't partake. Also at 1pm they had cigars for sale which was great. Just a nice garage style tap-house and brewery to come and relax at. I will be coming back here from time to time. Wonderful place. Oh and one tip the dog ignores everyone unless you have food and park wherever as the walk is worth it. read more

Brand new place in Hillsboro. No house beers on tap yet as of Jan 2014 so the other 1 star reviewer is obviously a competitor leaving a sham review. Great selection of 20 beers and ciders on tap. No food, just beer. read more

This is one of the best establishments in the Portland area. The beer is great, the prices are fair, and the staff is friendly! There are always dogs around, and that is a great touch. They have many cigars available for purchase as well. They also provide brewing ingredients and equipment if you fancy making your own beer. now to talk about the beer: Each beer is very good in its own way, I love their grapefruit IPA and their chocolate coffee stout! read more

These guys are the perfect example of hometown feel. Tried them out for the first time this year and have had nothing but excellent service. Great beer of course! They have their own unique style which makes them different. They serve excellent popcorn as well are dog friendly. I'm an animal lover and beer lover so the combination is perfect with their different pups that act nearly as servers strolling by to check on you every now and then which is awesome. Different games as well to keep the group occupied for a quick stop in or for a few hours. Overall love the place and glad it's there, will be a customer for life! read more

I enjoyed Three Mugs during the 2018 Superbowl. Great beers, very relaxed environment, dog friendly. It's in an industrial park, so it's purposefully casual. Beer quality was great, specifically the taps on Nitro were on point! read more

I stopped in here because I was in the neighborhood. The space is small, but they also have an upstairs. They have a number of ciders. I tried two, and they were very good. I also had a beer. The thing that I liked the best about it were the people. I, the guy beside me, the guy beside him, and the bartender talked for two hours about trucks, shooting, where we all were from, and our jobs. It is that kind of place. If I didn't live in east Portland, I would probably make this place a regular hangout. Go Drink Beer and Cider Here. read more

This beer is just bad. We were super bummed cause we really wanted to support small breweries. We've been here twice now. We weren't impressed after the first time but came back a few months later to give them another shot and we're still disappointed. They brew a lot of sub par beers instead of focusing on a few decent ones. Beer aside, the area feels dirty and the service is fair. Both times we've been greeted by a less than friendly, seemingly annoyed woman. Just around the corner is Vertigo, they've got it going on. read more

We wanted to try something different on a brew pub. We were greeted by the brew pub dog, Finnegan friendly big guy. He followed us in to be greeted with Irish music in this small cozy pub. Jay was very attentive. We had a great conversation with Niko. We really enjoyed this place , Kind of a whole in the wall in the back of buildings that also had corn hole in the parking lot. They make their own delious beer. Come check this place out! read more

Three Mugs is my new favorite local taproom! First time I went in, it was because I was buying computer parts across the street and noticed the sign out front. Originally planned to grab a quick pint and leave -- ended up staying for close to 2 hours trying different brews and talking with the owners/patrons. I had a MUCH better experience than I've ever had at a McMenamins because they really seem to know their stuff about beer and seem passionate about what they do. (Versus somewhere else were a server would rattle off whatever they memorized about the beer without really knowing/caring about the experience) Pros: - Large selection of beers on tap. Last I checked, 18+ including a few of their own! - Multiple CIDERS. Not just apple either. - Clean, cozy, modern atmosphere. - Great prices. Can either get pints, mugs (slightly smaller), or a set of tasters. - They can fill growlers. - Local. If you live anywhere near Rock Creek/Tanasbourne/Hillsboro, they're right here. Cons(?): - Somewhat limited hours. Not really the place to go late night as they currently close around 8pm, but great if you're just looking for a beer after work. - No food options. (Not really a problem for me, but figured it was worth mentioning) On the plus side, they will totally let you order outside food and have it delivered there for you to eat, hahaha. Overall, I definitely plan on coming back and bringing friends (and I have)! Really awesome to have a place like this on the west-side without having to drive into Downtown Portland. read more

This is a short review. I went in here to pick up my order for home brewing and not to go to the mugs itself. That being said, this place seemed quite nice, and I would go again. The people are super friendly and will help with any beer brewing questions and help you get what you need. You need to call and order in advance for brewing supplies, but you can buy already-brewed beer any time you want. read more

Wonderful brewery in Hillsboro. I loved their beer and enjoyed sitting at a table near the open garage door; I visited awhile ago. Everyone was friendly and they poured honest pints. It's a great place to head to after playing a round or two of disc golf in nearby Orchard Park. So happy there are such good places to drink beer in Hillsboro without all the pretension, crowds, and expense of Portland. read more

Fast and friendly service here at Three Mugs. 17 taps to choose from with a fantastic variety! Fill your growler on the way home or stop in for a pint. Great prices and even better company. This is a great local small business that deserves your money! Even better there is a home brew shop attached! Buy your supplies and get your brew on. read more

Love this place! Great selection of beer and friendly staff. While some people might be turned off by the atmosphere, I totally dig the "drinking in my buddies garage" vibe. There are already a couple pretentious tap houses in Hillsboro so 3 mugs is a nice change of pace. The only con is the hours of operation, but for an afterwork beer I highly recommend going. Also, don't forget your growler! read more

Great atmosphere, genuine people and awesome beer! A family driven business that takes care and passion in fueling their craft.

Great spot to have a beer and fill a growler. I highly recommend tongue smack, I have never had an IPA that was so smooth.

Great place to stop for a pint or some cider. Laid back, low key atmosphere that welcomes dogs. Feels like a "Cheers" type place where there's always regulars and the new comers are made to feel welcomed. Great selection of beer and ciders. Interesting flavors that you can't find elsewhere. read more

My wife and I have been here a few times now and have never been disappointed. They always have a great beer selection, most of them they brew in house. Their own brewed beer is delicious! It's never busy, they have great specials and they allow dogs which is a huge plus for us and our pup. Outside they have some tables and some games. Highly recommend this place! Super nice bartender! She was fantastic. Beer was 7/10. Some great options for sure. Some had the taste of dirty water but cannot have perfect beers. We played cribbage and drank. Great day. Cozy establishment with warn tables and lights handing from a dimly lit ceiling. 20 beers on tap, many seem on the sweet and quirky end of the spectrum, such as the white chocolate macadamia blonde. Food options are limited to popcorn machine in the back and an occasional food truck. read more

We ended up here for the Super Bowl. Beer is tasty and servers are friendly. They even fed us sub sandwiches at no charge. A cool place to hang out. It does look a little weird, as it's in a storage unit... but don't let that keep you from going inside! read more

If you are just a causal beer fan this is not your place. This is for beer enthusiasts who love great beer and great company. Connected to the best home brew shop in OR these guys can help you make anything you desire. My last visit they had 19 taps of excellent brew including cider and mead is available by the bottle. I recommend you drink the samplers first to find a pint you really like. they had 2 of their own brews which were incredible. Irish music was playing and the conversation was fun. Everyone is very friendly but it is not a huge place so expect a small intimate climate. I was a little bummed that the cask beer was out but maybe next trip will get them 5 stars. read more
