Sadly it doesn't a not the same now since Valerie retired and sold the business. The plate size is small now prices went way up and breakfast is just ok tasting. I had very little hash browns, a clunp of congealed cheese on my ham scramble. Pros-the waitress was nice, the pictures are nice on the walls and the coffee is big mugs filled often. In summary just an ok place now. Food is ok. Stardust diner is a much better place if you're looking for an alternate spot.

If you are looking for a great breakfast restaurant, Breakfast at Valerie's is a great choice. Met here for breakfast with a friend. I of course zeroed in on the Meat Lovers Skillet. They have a great menu, so it sometimes hard to decide what to order. It is also important to note you definitely need a good appetite when you come, their servings are very generous. Our waiter Krystal was great. She was very friendly and patient. Once again finding that just right breakfast can take some time. The location if very casual, and I might mention very clean. I noticed that everything about the restaurant is very organized. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

I've been to Valerie's for breakfast many times, and it is always an enjoyable experience! It has a lively, bustling atmosphere and the service is consistently really solid. I also love checking out the cool, ever-changing artwork displayed on the walls. This place is always busy, so it definitely pays to get there a little early! I rarely have to wait, but that's because I tend to be one of the early birds. My one major gripe or criticism is that at some point, they changed their "choose your own breakfast" options, and I was really disappointed that they removed some items--specifically, the Chicken Fried Steak. That was a tough loss! Overall, this is a solid breakfast spot that I would recommend anyone check out. Just keep in mind that it's a loud atmosphere, full of busy people talking. For me, that's actually a huge plus, especially when dining with kids; since it's already so noisy, their chatter won't be an issue!

My wife and I were told that Breakfast At Valerie's was a "Local Hidden Gem"....the gentleman was 100% correct! Attentive service, space between tables, great coffee and the food...TOP NOTCH!!!!! Here's what you don't find these days...a 4 egg omelette. I had the Philly cheese omelette...Excellent! Will return...

Got the country fried steak skillet, it came out in a bowl on a plate. (Not a skillet) You can tell something's changed about this place. Customer service was ok, could've been better. It's just not family friendly as it once was. They were playing Dj Khalid I'm not trying to listen to nostalgic music some classical music would've been fine.

My family frequents Val's often. We all enjoyed our food, from the lemon raspberry French toast to the country fried steak and thick bacon! The lady that served us was super sweet and made sure we had everything needed. It's a mom and pop diner vibe. I had half my country fried steak the next day which was perfect for my hangover

My cousin wanted cheap breakfast close to the airport, this popped up. Here was our experience. AMBIANCE: Parking: Plaza parking. We didn't really have any issues. Seating: Room for about 100 people. Great for groups! Vibes: It's not in Downtown Portland, across the bridge and closer to the airport. The spot itself is relatively simple with decorations of island culture here and there. You're greeted by a busy staff member and the sounds of numerous chatter from customers. Great place for individuals or groups especially if you want a classic breakfast with some nice local variations (like the biscuits and gravy I got)! FOOD: Biscuits and Sausage Gravy (Recommend) I had a small order but it was pretty fulfilling. Sunnyside-up eggs and a request for sausage made it a bit more hearty and comforting. Add some hot sauce and you're good to go! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! Friendly people and quick service. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars. Fantastic! Nothing too flashy, just good old comfort breakfast, reasonable prices, and pleasant experiences. This seemed to be loved by locals so be sure to come early if you want to eat in a timely manner. TIPS: * Check out their holiday buffets!

Choices of Food is good. Service needs improvement. Have to ask for coffee or you will not get a second. Best to get water only.

As for the food it's pretty mediocre probably the same stuff off of the Sysco truck that everyone else is serving. It looks like a originally someone put a lot of effort into making this place special but apparently lately they have just given up.

The portions are ginormous, so if you're not a big eater, there's more than enough to share a meal. The portions are also very generous, leaving us completely satisfied without feeling overpriced. Speaking of value, the pricing is very fair for the quality and quantity of food you receive, which makes the experience even better. It's rare to find a place that delivers this level of quality at such reasonable prices. And you absolutely cannot skip dessert--the dessert options are amazing and the perfect way to finish the meal. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully presented.
