We stopped in on the way to the beach from Sacramento and it was a cute spot right next to the ocean. It's self seat and you order at the register. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is definitely a small town feel, like everyone's a friend. We ordered and service was quick! Food tasted fresh and the had fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing.

The food was so good. I forgot take a photo. We had a party melt with tots. Great service.

Nice cozy restaurant by the water. We ordered a plate with 2 eggs, 4 slices of bacon, hash browns and bread. We also ordered a side of pancake and French toast. Coffee was a bit strong and I liked it but my husband that drinks it black said it was too strong and bitter. Our meal was just ok the only thing that stood out to us both was the eggs and they were very good and also the raisin toast was good too. Probably won't return. Very expensive for the food being mediocre. The service was good but had to order at front then they serve you at your table.

Greek omelette, extra crispy hash browns, and sourdough bread toast.

Had breakfast here again, this time with just one other person. Service was still top notch and really friendly. You pick up a menu when you enter, then order and pay at the counter. They give you a cone with number on it and you choose a table and take a seat. They bring you the food when it's ready. This time I had the Greek omelette. While their prices are rather high, it's a lot of food. I could only finish half of my meal. It came with hash browns and toast. The omelette was delicious and I asked for my hash browns to be extra crispy and they were exactly that. I asked for sourdough toast and got 2 slices. My friend had the omelette with bacon and avocado and she loved it. I was a bit envious of the raisin bread toast I saw on her plate; it was nice and thick and looked soft on the inside. Our coffee was refilled several times while we sat and chatted and they checked on us without being intrusive. This is the perfect place to dine before going whale watching!!

Crab cake Benedict, and they use imitation crab and charge $27.49. Ridiculous.

Crab cake Benedict, and they use imitation crab and charge $27.49. I was extremely disappointed given how expensive it was. The side was standard hash browns. After ordering tea (served in a plastic mug) tip, tax, everything was $41.47. Biggest restaurant food purchase regret in a long time. However, the wait staff is nice and its dog friendly. You're basically paying to have a short proximity to the ocean

Good quick breakfast. Food was very bland but not gross. You walk in look at the menus and order at the counter before seating yourself. Food is brought out pretty quickly, employees are nice. Of you need a quick breakfast before getting back on the road this will do.

We took a short day trip to Pacifica and stopped at Breakers for Sunday brunch. The wait was about 10 minutes, which wasn't bad at all. They offer both indoor & outdoor seating, and the location is really nice, right by the ocean cliffs with great views. You can walk around to sight see a bit before getting seated. For food, we ordered the crab cake benedict and the crab chowder. The chowder was hearty, delicious and had nice chunks of crab meat, must try if you're a fan of crab. The crab cake was a little too greasy and slightly oversalted for my taste, but the eggs benny were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was spot on. Parking can be a little tricky since there aren't exact designated spots, but we found a space in an alley behind Nick's rockaway. If you're in the area, this is a nice spot for brunch with great ocean views and good food.

Great food, friendly atmosphere, fast service. We went durin lunch on a Sunday. The fish $ chips was a full plate- big enough to share. The carnita crepe was amazing. There's some ocean view if you sit outside. Walk off the meal and take in the view. Wonderful place

We went here on a Friday morning/ brunch time. It was pretty busy but very sufficient. The employees were friendly and nice. I noticed one the employees talked to a customer giving some suggestions on chocolate chip waffles and pancakes. I thought that was nice for the employee to go out their way to make a conversation and suggestion for 10 mins! I really love their smoothies and couldn't choose only one. I chose the Tropical Breeze and it was amazing. I had the veggie omelette and added avocados. The cranberry pecan pancake was nice and soft, also something different. My husband had the crab omelette with a side of hollandaise sauce. We both had the clam chowder with crab meat. That was so delicious and tasty! The feel of the restaurant is casual and chill. I felt it was relaxing to eat a nice brunch with the ocean next to us! Will come again to try another smoothie!

The staff gave us excellent service! I asked if we could move to another table with soft seating for my uncle who is arthritis and they did. If you guys are reading this, thank you so much. We appreciate y'all and the food was amazing as well. We will definitely return! The ambiance was lovely as well.

Staff was very friendly & helpful. You arrive order your food and find a seat. They jad plenty of tables inside. They also had a good size patio but aince it was a little rainy they didn't have it open. They brought our drinks right away and not to long after we got our food. We got a bacon waffle with fried chicken. It was super tasty and portion was big. We stopped here on our way to monterey. We will definetly be back when in the area. You can see the ocean from here if you sit outside.

French toast $7.00 for one slice?? Wow!

Visited this place while staying nearby and saw the 4 stars so thought I would stop by. First, I have to disagree with the 4+ stars this place has. As you enter you order at the corner. They only have regular and decaf. The coffee was so bitter. There's strong coffee and then there's bitter coffee. This is bitter coffee. Then we went to order and everything has to be ordered separately. So our breakfast between me and my guest cost $70.00 for two meals that would have cost 1/2 price elsewhere. The service lacked. I ran out of coffee and no one stopped by to ask if we needed a refill. The ambiance is nice close to the water with windows to see the partial ocean view. However not worth the price when you can go to Nicks across the street for probably half to 2/3 the price this meal. I won't visit here again. I know value and I know prices. Expensive meals don't bother me unless they don't come with the service and quality you would expect for the price. I wouldn't visit again.

I got a chance to have breakfast at Breakers breakfast at Rockaway Beach yesterday you can see the waves crashing up on the shore and over the rocks. I took my nephew niece and my great nephew out with me. My wife and my brother and his wife breakfast was good. The service was fast. This is the type of place where you order and then you go sit down by the time you wash your hands and sit down good, take a sip of your coffee. Your breakfast is there on this particular occasion I have the omelette with salmon and spinach. It was actually really good. The hashbrowns were excellent and a nice cup of hot coffee. I could not complain great environment, clean lively in there. There are other people obviously who were there and the staff was very helpful. customer service was excellent and I would highly recommend it. Check out some of the dishes that we enjoyed in the photos

Does this place allow dogs?

Yes! They have an outdoor patio covered seating area.

Do they have non dairy milk options? For the oatmeal, granola, etc.

Yes, we have Almond Milk. :)

Does this place do reservations?

I dont think so. Best to come in groups of 2 or 3, and one person orders while the others grab a place to sit.

When is the best time to come here when it's not very crowded?

As early as possible or closer to closing-- 2:00 PM

Where do you park at Breakers?

Parking lot at the seafront, but dont tell anyone ;-)

I found Barbara's on Yelp--solid 4-star rating, good reviews, so we decided to give it a try. We arrived and were told there was about a 20-minute wait, which felt reasonable for a weekend seafood spot. Once we were seated, things started off fine, but the experience quickly became a bit frustrating. There seemed to be a breakdown in communication with our server regarding our order. We placed everything clearly, but when the food came out, it wasn't what we had ordered. Instead of just clarifying or correcting it, we were told the order had been placed incorrectly on our side and were asked to reorder. Unfortunately, we were also still charged for the original order, which made the situation feel even more confusing. We also ordered the clam chowder, which was honestly disappointing. From the very first spoonful to the last, there was a consistent gritty, sandy texture that made it difficult to enjoy at all. It took away from what is usually a comfort dish, especially in a coastal town where you expect it to shine. On a positive note, our timing coincided with sunset, and the view from the window was absolutely stunning. Watching the sun dip over the water while dining added a really beautiful moment to the experience, and the scenery itself was honestly the highlight of the visit. The setting itself is nice and the location is convenient if you're exploring Half Moon Bay, but based on our experience, the execution on both service and food quality didn't match the expectations set by the rating. Overall, it felt like a missed opportunity. With a bit more attention to order accuracy and consistency in the kitchen, this place could easily live up to its Yelp reputation--but unfortunately, that wasn't our experience that day.
