Very little smiling & very little interaction. She wasn't impolite or anything just not very friendly. This is just a regular pub. The food was ok & so was the pub. They had some decent specials on for a Sunday but that didn't turn the Pub from "ok" to "good". I had the meat lovers pizza with mushrooms. The tomato sauce on the pizza gave me the worst indigestion I've had in many years! This place is good but not good enough for a do over.

That we could not cut thru the batter. It was chewy. Overcooked. And it was a literal shell of the batter left over. And only ate the inside of it. Fish was ok had it not been ruined by the batter. Again. Fresh cut crispy fries. 4/10 SHRIMP LINGUINE had 2 shrimp. Sauce was watery. Tomatoes were grape tomatoes didn't seem fresh. And mushrooms were just there. Not much taste. Bland. Something my kids would make at home and I would say is decent. 4/10. The server and everyone who worked there looked like all in their early 20s. They were "working". But I got the feeling they just don't care. Our server came to ask us how the food was and we told her When we told her about the calamari she said they get a lot of complaints about it and her answer was "that's how they cook it" (despite the complaints). I mean. Maybe you should listen to your customers and fix that??????? I do not recommend this place whatsoever. Bbq sauce on the ribs were extremely sweet and thick. Almost felt like the sauce was purchased from groceries stores and just poured onto it at the end for flavour. It was not based and baked or grilled properly. Food took long to arrive. Overall experience wasn't positive. I would recommend trying Elora Mill next time and call in to make reservation at Elora Mill as they were fully booked.

You pay for coffee on top but who cares when it is only $4.50 for the breakfast special. 2 eggs, (over easy cooked just perfectly,) 4 pieces of bacon, home fries,and two slices of toast. *Shameful service leaving two 90+yr olds without a Christmas dinner*…read moreWe called Milestones at the Boardwalk first, detailing our wish to have a nice steak dinner delivered to two nonagenarians (as a treat for them from the bland Meals on Wheels dinners, they usually get). We live out of town and could not deliver ourselves. They told us to pre-order with Skip The Dishes. We filled out the online form with 'Skip' on December 22nd, with a 4:45 to 5:15 pm delivery window. Gave explicit detailed instructions for delivery including their phone number for building access, reference to them being elderly and added a good tip. Total bill was $135.90 We rec'd a phone call from the Skip driver at 8:15 pm on the 24th. Saying he could not get them to answer their phone to let him in. Well guess why? That was 3 hours later than the pre-determined delivery window. He then told us he had just received the delivery notice from Milestones 20 minutes earlier!! Huh?? Well, by that time they had eaten a self-prepared simple meal and the woman had gone to bed. The man was on his way to bed. We started calling their apartment ourselves, and finally the 93-year old man buzzed the driver in. He was pretty upset and disappointed. Too late to try and eat it, he had a peak at the food and was surprised to see such a small offering of food. The "mixed grill" of vegetables was according to him - a raw carrot and a couple of peas. He told us that he would have to make a side dish himself in order to make the meal enough to eat. When they attempted to eat the dinner the next day described the steak as "black" on the outside and "raw" on the inside, and incredibly tough to chew. Over the next 3 days, we tried to call Milestones and speak to the manager "Gavin". We were repeatedly assured he would call us "the next day". On the 3rd day, we spoke to someone identifying himself as the head cook, and he told us to call 'Skip', but that he would still have Gavin call on the 27th. Surprise, surprise - no call. An online chat with a 'Skip' employee (Nicole B.) resulted in many apologies and a whopping refund of $57.00. I was repeatedly told by Nicole that Skip's company policy did not allow her to give back a full refund. And only food costs are covered. I asked to escalate to Admin, and she ended the chat window. And we just finally got through to a managerial assistant at Milestones, who denies any responsiblity (even for the poor quality of the food) blaming it all on 'Skip'. Kept telling us to call them. I kept telling her we had. And reminded her that it was Milestones who told us to use 'Skip' in the first place. Bah Humbug both to Milestones and to Skip the Dishes.

Service was good overall, perhaps slightly lacking polish but made up for with genuineness. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights at 7. The trio playing was enjoyable playing a lot of classics most would know. Good music for conversation. The sound system was a bit distorted, so that did detract unintentionally from the band. As far as food goes, they brought the appetizer out after the tacos, and my main seemed to have gotten a bit lost. Ideally the kitchen would have delivered both mains at the same time. So Hubs ate his, then we ate our appetizer...and then I ate my main. Not ideal but pretty tasty. The brussel sprout dish was quite delicious, but a slightly lighter hand on the sauce would improve it. Pulled pork tacos were enjoyed by Hubs. I enjoyed my fish tacos and my duck taco. All in all a good meal.
