After seeing this as a Hot & New spot on Yelp, I had to make a trip to The Bread Spot. I ordered the crispy porkbelly sandwich and iced vietnamese coffee. My +1 got the grilled meatball and che ba mau. Sandwiches were packed with meat. If you prefer bread that doesn't make a mess, The Bread Spot uses a softer, less crumbly bread. My only quip for the sandwich is that the pickled veggies are less than what I am used too, but I am not sure if that's the case if you ask for them in your sandwich rather than on the side. Overall, flavor was good and wouldn't mind coming again to try a different sandwich. Vietnamese coffee was alright but was on the higher end price-wise. They also have tea drinks available, but they sell it for $7 per drink without toppings. As a special they have a milk tea bucket for $12 which included their molded toppings. The establishment was very clean and they did offer seating area. I came by on a Sunday morning and there was plenty of open seating. They are located in a building plaza that has parking available. My service experience was minimal, but the cashier and person handling orders were very friendly. read more

Tried this Vietnamese banh mi spot a few weeks ago and it was pretty solid overall. I got the spring rolls and sea salt coffee. The spring rolls were good, packed with a lot of meat and about 1.5 shrimp per roll, so they actually felt filling instead of mostly noodles and lettuce like some places. The sea salt coffee was decent too. It wasn't as strong or bold as other Vietnamese coffee spots I've had, but the flavor was still good and easy to drink. Service was good too. I was here on a weekday morning, and it was pretty quiet. I stayed for about an hour to study and it was a nice, calm environment to get work done. Very friendly and happy service! The restaurant is clean, well laid out, and the menu is easy to read. We got the #1 dat biet sandwich and egg rolls to try. The outer skin of the bread is more hard-crispy than airy crisp, but the filling was super well balanced and delicious. It was all good together. This is a brand new banh mi place in 626. I was the first hundred that got the gifts from the business a cute bottle and bag that they gave on the grand opening. This place is located on Garvey blvd in the corner of a brand new building in Rosemead city. This place decoration is very luxury, bright, clean and neat in the gold and white theme. One of the best looking banh mi places i ever seen. I haven been coming back here for banh mi and other delicious dishes since they opened. All the staff are professional, welcoming and nice. My go to items: Roasted pork sandwich- super flavorful crispy skin with less fat roasted pork. Their banh mi is soft so it didn't hurt my gums from eating it like other places. Grilled pork banh mi - I personally think it's better than banh mi tho. They also give a decent portion and the meat and flavor are on the spot. I also love their chilling paste that comes with. Spring rolls/Nem rolls - big rolls with tasty sauce. Savory sticky rice- they gave decent portions and super tasty. This will for sure keep you full! The vibe is also nice, music isn't loud and there wasn't much of other noise so its a good choice if you're looking for a casual lunch or to eat and read. I went yesterday and, unfortunately, I was an incredibly disappointed. Establishment was empty at 12pm. The pork was extremely bland and didn't seem to have much flavor. It was the first meal of the day so my pallet was untouched. After a few unbearable bites, I finally asked the cashier if there was any sauce because I was having a hard time continuing eating it. She kindly gave me the sauce that's normally used inside the sandwich- but I had to ask twice for it. There was a little already on the sandwich, but it definitely wasn't enough and very minimal. The extra sauce made a big difference, but I was surprised by how unseasoned the pork tasted on its own. I'm genuinely wondering if the pork is intentionally prepared this way or if I just received an off batch. Hubby and I decided to check out this new bread spot located where Yotea used to be. The place is new and modern looking, definitely not your traditional old-school sandwich shop. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. We ordered the crispy pork sandwich, grilled pork sandwich, bucket milk tea, and soursop tea. Crispy pork sandwich (3/5): Good flavor, but the pork had a bit of a stinky smell. Grilled pork sandwich (5/5): Very flavorful and definitely the highlight. Bucket milk tea (4/5): It was good, but nothing too special for $12. Soursop tea (2/5): Unfortunately it smelled a bit like soap and was too sweet for my taste. Overall, not bad. Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of drinks and food here. So far I've tried the corn matcha (50% sweet) and it was still pretty sweet even with reduced sugar so drinks may lean on the sweeter side overall. But the flavor and the creamiest of the drink was still solid overall. I also tried the grilled pork banh mi and nem spring rolls and was thoroughly impressed by both. The spring rolls tasted very homemade and the pork in the banh mi was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I really enjoyed how they cooked their grilled pork. The prices are a little higher than the average banh mi place around here but I would still come back because the quality of food here is definitely good. The rolls were fresh and tasted great. Jasmine MT was strong and good as well. Banh Mi was good for the most part and I liked that they added spring onions and cha bong. However, the mayo/spread and cha bong they used were very sweet. It throws the taste of the Banh mi off. Hope they consider adjusting the sweetness. I got very sick after eating at Bread Spot. I had their #1 banh mi sandwich for lunch, which was pretty much the only thing I had all day because I got food poisoned from it and couldn't eat anything else for the rest of the day. woah!!! found this place on instagram reels and it does live up to the hype. we tried the bread spot special, grilled pork, and pate & meatloaf banh mis. all of them were sooo good. the bread especially was the star of the show- fluffy, soft, and has a nice bite to it. the sticky rice was also just as good. it was super hearty and tasty. the tropical fruit tea had a good variety of fruit bits but was a little sweet for me. i'd highly recommend the banh mi and the sticky rice !!! read more

During their spot opening, they were giving away free Vietnamese iced coffee with purchase. I like getting their banh mi special and roasted pork banh mi.
