My boyfriend, his friends and I attended a wedding in Tahoe. We stayed at the hotel/venue for 3 days. It was a destination wedding. Because of it's location there wasn't too many food options. Bread & Butter was like a hole in the wall! So happy we were able to find this location. I ordered: -Breakfast burrito with chorizo for my boyfriend. He liked it but I thought it was too salty for me. 3.5/5 -Egg Benedict burrito. I saved it for the next day. It was cold but good! It would've been bomb if I had it right away. 5/5 I'd recommend this one. -White Trash Fries 3.5/5 it was alright. There was too much gravy for me. Eating it with the habanero hot sauce & ketchup is a must though! Definitely brings out much more flavor. The hot sauce is spicy! But so good. I loved it with the burrito as well. - 2 Hot chocolates with whipped cream. It was average. 3/5. There wasn't anything special to it. I probably would've enjoyed their lunch menu better. Went here hoping for a breakfast burrito. Arrived as they were switching from breakfast to lunch and was told breakfast was over. Unfortunate, especially given that we stood at the window waiting for five minutes to be acknowledged which meant the difference between having breakfast and not. Settled on a BLT with fries and a pulled pork sandwich. Portions looked large enough. Husband got into his BLT and found a long hair. Instantly turned off from eating. Brought it up to the counter to say something and they dug out the long hair and starting claiming it wasn't theirs and asked if it was his, to which he removed his cap revealing a bald head. They made no indication of feeling bad other than offering a new sandwich. My husband eventually just asked for his money back which they gave him a partial refund. My pulled pork sandwich was dry and soggy all at the same time. Very disappointed in the whole experience. read more

Is it a building? Is it a food truck? It's somewhere in the middle and regardless - it's really good. We saw B&B as we were in Graeagle and staying in Portola, we decided to give it a try based on great Yelp reviews. We pulled into the lot, parked and went to order. It was a simple process at the window. We settled on: White Trash Fries Biscuits and Gravy w/ 2 eggs French Toast Cinnamon bun french toast 2 orange juices and 3 chocolate milks The total came to around $60 before tip which seemed a little pricey. We waited about 10-15 minutes (there was a large party ahead of us) and then were called up for our food and drinks. White trash fries: These are fries with white gravy on top. They are pretty darn good. I'm not sure if they make their own fries or not but it was quite delicious and I preferred the flavor of the fries rather than the bisucit. Biscuits and Gravy: Same gravy used in the white trash fries - it's very good. The biscuits were a little dry to be honest. The gravy took care of some of that but they did crumble from being too dry. French toast: Nice thick toast served with syrup. Tasted good and bread was great. Cinnamon bun french toast: It's hard to describe this one. Take a giant cinnamon bun and a cut a slice out of it. This had syrup and the cinnamon bun filling but the bread/bun had not been soaked in the mixture to make it soft. The end result was ok but could have been better by actually soaking that bread and then frying it like regular french toast. Perhaps this was an oversight. The orange juices were pretty darn small. Imagine the little clear cups you get on an airplane. We'll come back next time we are up here. Hopefully the cinnamon bun french toast was an oversight and we'll share next time to keep the cost down. read more

Bread and butter is a food truck with outdoor seating. I got the shrimp taco special which came with mounds of lettuce and fried shrimp with chipotle sauce. It was very filling and tasty. We tried this place on Labor Day weekend and it was fantastic! I ordered an egg salad sandwich, my mom ordered a tuna salad, and the men got hamburgers. I was pleasantly surprised that the bread was very unique and tasty. I heard from a local that they make it by hand. The sandwich looked a little overwhelming by the amount of food though so my mom and I swapped half and half so we could have half sandwich and half salad which was perfect. The prices were a bit higher than I was anticipating walking up, but it seemed worth it because of the quality of the ingredients. Cute outside area to sit down with self-serve water. Rude & thieves. My friend & I went there for lunch. I'm in Greaeagle almost everyday now. I really wanted to try this place & finally today was the day. Usually eat at Gumbas (almost every day wich is very good. My friend ordered western burger with ad on side of coleslaw & I order cajun chicken with add on fries. States right on the menu, ad on coleslaw or fries $3. We sit down & I notice we were both charged $6. When I got up to get our food, I pointed this out to the lady. All she could say was, well you got more fries. the other lady charged us both up for full side orders. What a scam! We ordered ad ons not full side orders but got stuck paying fore them anyway. How many other people do they do this to who don't even notice. Slow service & very inconsiderate. Just another rip off food truck in a location with no competition. read more

Cute, funky little outdoor breakfast/lunch spot right off the highway. We stopped here to grab breakfast before heading out of town (Sunday morning at 8:30). It is definitely food truck style - small kitchen and 2-3 people running the place. We knew it was going to be a wait, 30 mins to be exact. No big deal, just good to know before you come here (don't be in a hangry rush!) My boyfriend's breakfast burger was fantastic. Definitely off the beaten track in Blairsden, CA, but we had a fantastic breakfast here. It's a stand-alone trailer, sitting near the corner 89 and 70, with seating being a mix of patio furniture, picnic tables, etc. We picked up some menus near the window (we were the only customers on a Sunday morning). I ordered the white trash fries ($14), while the GF ordered the huevos ($14) as well as two coffees. Definitely not cheap, especially considering it was coming from a trailer. When we got our food after they called to us from the window - red plastic tray, large white paper basket for my fries, and a paper plate for the huevos. First things first, portions were huge. The GF and I could easily have split either one of our entrees and walked away full. The white trash fries would be amazing drunk food - giant portion of fries, drowned in a fantastic sausage gravy, cheese, and two fried eggs. So decadent and rich, and perfect to soak up any of the previous evening's transgressions. The huevos were great, especially the house made tomatillo - the perfect mix of smoky and spicy. They've got a "big bertha" challenge on the menu - two beef patties, pulled pork, hot link, 6 slices of bacon, 5 onion rings, and fixings along with garlic fries. $36, and if you finish it all in 20 minutes, you get a tee shirt . . . I'm definitely tempted . . . While the prices are a bit high, the experience is unique, the servings are gigantic, and the food is delicious. Would definitely stop back when in the area. read more

All that delicious pulled pork smothered in creamy coleslaw made my southern heart go pitter-patter! I was driving around the area exploring when I saw this place, thanks to a little sign near the road. I decided to stop in for lunch since they had some inviting picnic tables with big umbrellas. I have very pale skin and burn easily so I seek out shade whenever possible! The little lady tending the trailer was as sweet as syrup and reminded me of my grandma in the best way possible. She called me sweetie pie and hunnybunch throughout our little chat and me placing my order. I felt right at home and it was like I was instantly transported to the south again! Southern hospitality at its finest! I ate it up just as quickly and voraciously as I ate my pulled pork sandwich. In the south, it is a crime not to eat your pulled pork topped with creamy coleslaw so it was a treat to see when my meal came out. I sure wasn't expecting that! I was thrilled! The meat and coleslaw completely covered the bottom of the bun. This was so much food I was happy I didn't get a side order of anything! I couldn't even finish all of this on my own. The pulled pork was delicious and juicy. It had the perfect amount of sauce that gave it a good flavor without being overly saucy. The coleslaw was nice and cool on top of all that hot meat. I shoveled it all into my mouth as fast as I could because I would swear this meal was a dream my mind was using to play tricks on me. This was the best barbecue I've had on the west coast and it so figures because the little hole in the wall places always do it best! It's nice to know that this is only an hour drive outside of Reno. Now I know where to come when I'm craving that good ol barbecue and some sweet southern hospitality! This has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat in the Graeagle region. It has a charming food truck feel in the mountains, laid out on a corner pad in Blairsden. The food is fantastic, the staff incredibly kind and the outdoor picnic area is a wonderful place to enjoy lunch, suck in the scenery and watch the world go by. When I'm working from our family vacation home for a week, not unusual for me to make the 15 minute drive both ways to have lunch here three times. read more

The have a pretty diverse menu for a "food truck" and I think their breakfast menu might be even better than the lunch. They had homemade ice cream sandwiches the day we dined, and enormous chocolate chip cookies for purchase. The gals working the truck were incredibly friendly and warm. Made the experience even more enjoyable. This place will be on the list whenever in the area. We were staying at Little Bear RV Park, which was outstanding by the way and on our way out we decided to have breakfast here. It did not disappoint. I had the Eggs Benedict wrap(loaded with ham) with avocado added, 2 others had the breakfast scramble with homemade bread toast and one had sausage and eggs. We were all very pleased! Above average food for the area, over priced and service with a snotty attitude. First time I ate there I went with a friend we had a bad experience with the blond and brunette ladies that work it. These are the type of folks who make you feel they're doing you a favor by allowing you to eat there. I blew it off figuring they were having a bad day. A few weeks later my family who'd never eaten there asked to try it out. Reluctantly I took them. We were given the same treatment. If you're going to charge that much from a food truck with self-service and outside picnic bench seating, at least make your customers feel you enjoy working there. It goes a long way. The food was good but the pick up window service was terrible! I'm so grateful for our restaurant workers and am so appreciative to restaurants that stay open during these hard times. We spent over $130 on our orders and ONLY requested our food TO GO and asked for ketchup. We received NO napkins, no forks, and were yelled at for asking for ketchup. When I explained my young son doesn't like ranch with his onion rings she did finally give me ketchup about 1/2 tablespoon. When my sister asked for ketchup she was told "I already gave you some!" No she gave ME 2 - 1/2 tbsp cups for 5 meals. My sister was given Zero For her 3 meals of ketchup with fries???? Very strange and upsetting to our otherwise great day in Graeagle.
