Upon leaving we noticed a large dog, possibly a German shepherd, at a table. I spoke with the hostess, and she confirmed this was not a service dog, and she informed me that the manager made an exception because it was too hot for them to eat outside and the customer told the manager that the dog would behave. The manager made this decision without considering any other people in the restaurant. This is disgusting and unsanitary. If we would have known there was a dog in the restaurant, we would not have eaten there. We did not pay almost $200 to dine with someone's pet. Only service animals should be allowed in a restaurant and there should never be an exception made at the expense of other guests. I was disappointed and shocked that this would have been approved by a manager. I will not visit this location again unless the manager can commit to the highest level of service to the guests and does not permit people to bring their pets with them into the restaurant. I am so upset that my mother's 80th birthday lunch was ruined by this ridiculous decision of these people to bring their dog to Fogo de Chão and even more shocked that a manager would condone this in total disregard of other guests!

We also added the lobster mac and cheese, and I can honestly say it was the best I've ever had. The lemonade/limeade was refreshing, perfectly sweet, and just delicious. The bread is also to die for--I couldn't stop eating it. Service was top-tier--attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The meal is pricey, but worth every penny. We even got the key lime pie to go, and it was a 10/10. This restaurant is located in a complex with plenty of parking, so getting in and out is easy. I should say that I prefer the family run churrascos in lieu of the over commercialized chains. You could feel the close knit family vibe in the front and back of house. When we arrived, I informed the hostess of our party size and that the rest of my group was in the parking lot. When asked if we were on a wait, she told us there was no wait. Despite that, we stood there for about 15 minutes with no explanation while multiple groups who arrived after us were seated first. I eventually had to remind the hostess that we were still waiting. We were then taken to the party room, which had several open and clean tables. Instead of seating us at an open and clean table, they had us wait 3 more mins to finish cleaning a table that just left for us to sit at. Our server did the bare minimum--dropping off drinks and occasionally clearing plates. For a first-time experience with both hot pot and BBQ, it would have been helpful if the server checked in, explained the process, or offered assistance. Food runners were not particularly pleasant and didn't explain what dishes they were placing on the table. There was an 18% gratuity included on the bill and our server did not deserve it. Final thoughts: KPOT delivers variety and value, but poor communication and minimal service took away from what could have been a much better experience--especially for a large group.
