Andrew is an honest and skilled mechanic. In preparation for a 1,300 mile solo road trip that I am…read moresoon to undertake, he did a full inspection on my Toyota Matrix. He also identified a few maintenance issues that were needed and set a reasonable price for doing these tasks. Drew communicates clearly about schedules and pricing. If he is to be late for an appointment he sends a texts as well as an email (through Yelp), to share updates. He takes "before" and "after" photos of his work to document for clients the tasks completed. Finally, I cannot stress enough how CONVENIENT it is to have a mobile mechanic come to your place of residence to get your car worked on! If I could give Andrew a SIX star rating...I would!!!

I hired Drew after a dealership told me I needed multiple "critical" services, including work that…read moreI had already paid them thousands of dollars to complete just a few months earlier. That immediately raised red flags. I turned to social media to find a reliable local mechanic, and Drew's Toolbox came highly recommended by multiple people, and for good reason! Drew was honest, efficient, and did excellent work at a fraction of the cost the dealership quoted me for just one service. He clearly explained what actually needed to be done (and just as importantly, what didn't), which I truly appreciated after feeling pressured and upsold elsewhere. He comes to you, is extremely communicative and professional, and his service and parts are backed by a warranty. I never felt rushed, talked down to, or pushed into unnecessary repairs. If you're looking for a trustworthy mechanic who does quality work and won't take advantage of you, I highly recommend Drew's Toolbox.

Avoid This Shop Unless You Enjoy Wasting Money and Time…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. More than two years ago, I brought my car in for a simple front brake pad and rotor replacement, and now--after THREE visits to (supposedly) replace the offending cheap brake pads they originally installed--the issue of the ongoing, excessive black brake dust covering my front wheels still hasn't been resolved. Each time, I was assured the problem was taken care of--and each time, I left with the exact same mess. At this point, I'm seriously wondering if this shop ever actually replaced the brake pads after the first time, since there's never been any evidence that they did. Rommel is full of promises but short on results. He either doesn't know what he's doing or simply doesn't care--and I'm honestly not sure which is worse. When he had the audacity to ask me to bring my car in a FOURTH TIME (seriously?), I instead asked him for a refund of the $604 I had initially paid him. He refused, claiming, "That wouldn't be fair." I'D LOVE TO KNOW WHAT'S FAIR ABOUT A 74-YEAR-OLD WOMAN HAVING TO CLEAN SOLID BLACK BRAKE DUST OFF HER FRONT WHEELS (WEEKLY!) FOR 2.5 YEARS--ALL THANKS TO THE CHEAP BRAKE PADS ROMMEL USED, WHICH HE (quite laughably) PROMISED ME WERE "BETTER THAN ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT." My recent plan was to take this unethical "businessman" (I use that term lightly) to Small Claims Court, but I realized that (Rommel being Rommel) the likelihood of him showing up was pretty much nil. And even if I won the judgment--as I surely would--I would most likely never see a dime of that money again. If you're looking for competent, honest auto service, keep driving. This place is where cars--and customer service--go to die.
