Have been coming here for years but last two times I was disappointed at how things have changed just recently. Came a couple weeks ago and got the prime rib which used to be the best around. This time it was thin...tough.. Came again Wednesday night and they had no prime rib...no French dip(due to being out of prime rib)...no steaks...chili which also meant no nachos...no wings... it was early between 6:30 and 7..ended up with fish and chips which was good. The worst meal i ever had in any restaurant. Absolutely the worst fish and chips ever. The place is so dark, it's difficult to read the menu or see the check. The food is horrible. The bread is stale on the sandwiches and don't ask for extra pickles because they will charge you $1.00 for pickles and 1.50 for bread. It is under New ownership and has gone way down hill read more

I went in for a job interview and had the interview with Terry the manager the place seemed really cool until everything changed when I pulled up my sleeve on my sweater because it was hot since we were outside having the interview and she seen my tattoos after that her whole demeanor changed her words "ohh I see you have a nose ring are you willing to take it out " I said well I can put a clear one in bc I don't want it to close she didn't like that and so I went on saying well I have a full sleeve of tattoos is that going to be a problem too she said " yes it is a problem I NEED TO PROTECT MY CLIENTELE so are you willing to cover your tattoos every shift" I said no my tattoos are apart of who I am. So she said well have a nice day then. she is very rude and judgemental. even though I seen that the bus boy/kitchen guy had tattoos? is it since he works in the back of the house that nobody sees him that that's it's okay for him? This please discriminates against piercings and tattoos which is very unfortunate it is 2020 it's time to get with it almost half of our population now has piercings or tattoos. Don't spend you money on a business who discriminates people for who they are. read more

Brass Monkey Tavern is a great little sports bar and restaurant off the beaten path with great charm and friendly service. The food was amazing and our server Kevin was a very friendly older gentleman with some great stories to make us laugh while we enjoyed our lunch. If we didn't live so far away this would definitely be one of our new favorites! We would highly recommend this place to anyone local or on a weekend getaway down south! read more

We have eaten here many times and even provided a great review after our third visit, but in my opinion, there is something wrong with the management and this place and has been the last few visits and is no longer on our list of Friday Fish fry locations. We ate there last night and in defence of them, they did say they were short staffed but, they did not say they were going to be short-sighted and inattentive. My wife had the fish fry and I had a special, blackened Mahi Mahi $19.00 (which was very dry) because the chef said he could not blacken the haddock as it would fall apart, funny I get it blackened Haddock in Buffalo during the summer months home each week at multiple restaurants and it is always intact. So let's go down the list of fun we had at our last visit. First; We did not care about the time it took as they warned us about being short-staffed but it was almost two hours so now you are warned. Second; We literally had to get up and chase our server Mary or go get them ourselves to get any type of condiment, she just never came back and check on us, ever. Third; They never brought the bread until we asked long after the meal was served and she stated that she stole it from another order, yes really. Fourth; And the meals where do I start, with my wife's fish fry she got a ton of french fries but the coleslaw was presented in a little paper cup that you would get ketchup in, really. They did not even bring my coleslaw until were almost done with the meal and asked where it was and then they brought four servings of it. Fifth; But the height of the evening or topping or condiment of the night was when they offered anything for the very dry Sweet Potatoe fries that I paid an upcharge for and she brought me, honey, with garlic in it! The whole experience was just very sad and I did something I never do shorted the tip and I also left them a message on the check, that by the way they never even offered to adjust, but I am guessing it went ignored, like us for the whole night. read more

We have gone here several times in the last year, and the food, drinks and service are always top notch. Between the two of us, we have had more than half of the food on the menu, and are always pleased with what we get. The prices are good for food and drink, and the service is fast if we need it to be, but we always feel comfortable taking our time if we have time. We will keep going :) read more

This is one of those places you pass and say.. I need to try it. So we finally did .. and VERY glad we did. I ordered burger VERY rare, cheese and mushrooms with a Cole slaw side. Hubby ordered burger medium same toppings with fries...Hubby loved everything, cooked perfectly fries were to die for, not your typical bun.. denser not as bready. Mine again burger cooked perfectly. Next time I'm getting the fries, cole slaw tasted like typical slaw nothing special. I wasn't crazy about the bun.. asked and found they get delivery every day(maybe wasn't fresh .. would have explained it) BUT we came on a Sunday.. doubt it was delivered today..one day could have affected it.. absolutely coming back... read more

I went here with my boyfriend and our friend for a stand up comedy show with an awesome line up. This place is great! Great service, cool set up, plenty of room, nice views from every seat in the house. I'd love to come again and play some pool, get some grub (fantastic food) and chill out. I just recently ate here w several friends.I ordered the prime rib wich was cooked to perfection.I would also recommend the crab stuffed mushroom and spinach and artichoke dip wich were delicious starters.Service was great too.Our server Amanda was excellent, and very knowledgeable of the menu and the events going on here.Will definitely be dining here again.Hope to catch the comedy show next time. read more

Worst wings I've ever had they were so dry and barely had any meat on them and the fries were so small. The chocolate chunky monkey martini was watery and had ice in it for some odd reason. The restaurant also had a moldy smell.I will never return. read more

I go to the Brass Monkey once a month for the car show and stay later to hear the band and always spend plenty eating and drinking, tipping generously. The bartenders are such bitches and always make you feel like you're bothering them trying to get a drink. They barely acknowledge you even when they see you and walk right past you numerous times. With regard to the food, I shouldn't have to ask 30 minutes later where it is. You don't go there for the service, that's for sure, but I won't be going anymore. Those girls never smile and they're miserable. They ruin the whole experience but definitely give us something to talk about at the bar. What a drag. read more

Was there for a benefit fund raiser so didn't get to try the food this time, but did last time and was plesantly surpised. Yeah, it's a neighborhood dive bar but there is a separate dining area and service has always been friendly and attentive. Bar prices are great and there are always plenty of specials. Great place to watch the games - specials on food and drink and tons of TV's. A lot of people showing up in their colors just like going to the stadium. read more

We wandered in on a fluke when we were on our way to a Chinese restaurant a few doors away. My husband saw the sign for Brass Monkey and remembered he had been told the food was good so we ventured in at 4:30pm on a weekday night on our way home from a long appointment. It appears to be a Bar with a separated billiards area and a dining room adjacent to the bar. The place is dark and a tad dingy but clean. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. The dining area was empty but we went at an off-hour. My husband ordered a cup of soup ($2.95) which was excellent and Fish and Chips ($14.99 including a substitution charge for onion rings). He said the fish was perfectly prepared and it appeared to be lightly breaded and very fresh. I ordered a Cheeseburger which was $12.99 including a $2.00 upcharge for sweet potato fries. I asked repeatedly for a medium pink burger and got a very well done one but it was adequate. Food was served hot. They have a $10.99 Friday Night Special on the Fish and Chip entree which comes with a cup of clam chowder. Servings are generous and we will return. This is a Bar that serves good food and has an appealing menu. The Bar has two separate entrances but is open to the dining room. It is not a typical restaurant but the food is good. It may not be a family environment but they do provide good service, good food and an abundance of prepared in-house appetizers. read more

If you're looking for a night out and don't want all the craziness of a nightclub or over displayed sport's bar, then the Brass Monkey is the place to go. Comfortable environment, great food, great service and friendly people all around. Local bands play there, that aren't too loud or obnoxious. I have celebrated my birthday there in the past, with even the owner participating in the singing. Made me feel very welcome and at home. Who would think that a bar would serve such great prime rib, but Brass Monkey does and it's delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Be sure to tip those bartenders well! I've been going here for about two years. About once every two weeks or so. It's around the corner from where I live, so it's convenient. I'm done. This place has the worst service and its consistently bad. If you sit at the bar, don't expect service quickly, even if the bar is half full. They can have three bartenders back there, but they always seem to be busy washing glasses or looking at their phones. It's almost like it this bar's theme is to have terrible, inattentive bartenders. The place is somehow always crowded. At 8:00 pm the geriatric crowd clears out because it's time to go home and soak their dentures. I've been there at 10:00 pm on a Saturday and it's DEAD. Keep an eye on your tab, since they are good at forgetting to get your next drink, but always remember to add one to your bill. This place stays in business despite itself. Only 2nd time being here. While the food was good we waited one hour and 15 minutes for 2 steaks!!!! Tables who had come in after us were eating while we continued to wait. The waiter came by at least 5 times saying the kitchen was overrun yet all the other tables food came out. No manager ever made an appearance. In all the time we waited we did not get any bread . We finally got bread after our steaks came. Can't fault the food but the wait time was horrible. read more

Their bar staff is amazing. They have an indoor bar and a patio so smokers can indulge. I ordered drink inside and went to the patio. I later ordered food to go and someone engaged me in conversation. As I was going back out to the patio, a bartender followed me and asked if this was my beer. She had brought it inside because I went in and then gave it back to me as I went back out. I have had the food here a couple of times and it has been very good. Best kept secret in Palm Beach County. What a great neighborhood bar and restaurant. The Food, People, Bartenders and Servers are all incredible. Marty the owner can often be seen mingling with the patrons, making sure they're happy with there food and getting the service they need. I've been coming here after hockey 2 nights a week for more than 6 years and I highly recommend it. The Wings are awesome, his Soups are incredible and the Seafood & Steaks are top notch. The Sushi is Fresh and tasty and just when I though I'd had it all Marty whips up his latest Brandied Lobster Bisque that was Phenomenal!!! Even his Garlic Green beans are fantastic.
