I went to the auto store cited above to purchase a rear turn signal bulb. I did not look for the…read morebulb myself ( too many) but asked the representative to look it up. I gave him all the information he requested while he was checking his online inventory. He found the bulb, I paid for the bulb, and I left. A day or so later I tried to insert the new bulb . It did not fit the socket. The base of the bulb was too large. I returned to the store and told my story. The rep. puzzled over the story and the bulb, went into the light bulb section and came out with a new bulb that he said would fit. When I asked about the cost of the new bulb he gave me the price whereupon I queried him as to whether the cost was with or without the refund for the "hand-selected" bulb I purchased earlier. To which he replied with a straight face, "We don't give refunds for parts that have been removed from the plastic covering.". We, then, "discussed" the flawed reasoning behind that policy. He was steadfast in his understanding of the policy ...not the absurdity of the policy, mind you.. but his understanding of the policy. So when I said "once I open the second set you researched and sold me if the new bulbs don't work I am potentially stuck with two sets of useless bulbs. To which he replied, "well, yeah". After a long text exchange with the company's customer service department, it came down to essentially "that's our policy". There were so many things wrong here that it just boggles the mind that a reasonable person would not see the "Catch 22" virtually dripping from this confounding policy. In essence, any mistake made by the salesperson in providing a part to a client if that part is opened and does not fit the customer is expected to absorb the cost of the useless item! The website customer service person refused to budge from "the policy". I am now left with a souvenir of what is not only a Catch-22 but also "Caveat Emptor". Btw/ The refund policy is not annotated on the receipt nor was it forthcoming from the mouth of the salespersons. I also did not see it on any store signage. Auto Zone, here I come but I will be sure to ask about your return policy first. As they say "take advantage of me once shame on you, take advantage of me twice, shame on me". .

She kept that same attitude the entire time I was checking out, which made the whole experience unpleasant. I've been to this same location many times and never had an issue before. When I showed my veteran ID, which I've used here plenty of times without any problem, she said it wasn't valid. That kind of inconsistency and attitude isn't what I expect from AutoZone. I usually like this store and the staff, but this visit was disappointing. Management really needs to do better.

This store should be a model for what all auto parts stores should be…read more As a woman who has owned either luxury vehicles or muscle cars for most of my adult life, I've had some pretty interesting experiences at auto parts stores. Most of them involve either sales associates talking down to me (like I don't know the difference between a carburetor and a cabin air filter) or trying to upsell me on things I don't need, because they think I don't know enough about my vehicle to know when I'm being taken advantage of. Oh, and let's not forget the unwanted advances...yeah. My experience at this AutoZone location was everything that a trip to the auto parts store (or any store, really) should be. Chris was AMAZING from the very second I walked into the store. I came in for two items and even though he only had one in stock, he looked up the nearest store that had the item in stock, printed out an image of the item they didn't have (so I wouldn't have to ask the sales associate at the next store to find it in the computer), and wrote down the address for me so I wouldn't have to look it up in my phone. It's also worth noting that I didn't ask him to do any of these things for me... didn't even have the time to. He was already problems solving before I had a chance to even consider next steps. Solution oriented customer service... Other stores, take note. Because I felt so comfortable shopping at the store, I ended up buying another $50 worth of detailing accessories and other things that I didn't necessarily need. As he rang up my items, I thanked Chris for treating me both as a valued customer, and as a person, because this was not an experience I've had at any other auto parts store. This store has become my new go-to for all of my car care needs.

My wife took a day off work and waited at the shop for 2.5 hours, only for them to realize they had ordered the wrong part. Totally unprofessional to make someone wait that long before checking if they even have the right components. Avoid this place if you value your time.

I spent 2 hours and 40 minutes there, only to be informed at checkout that the part needed for the recall wasn't available and I would need to come back at a later date. I'm struggling to understand why this wasn't identified when I initially scheduled the appointment or at the very least when the service started. Additionally, it's frustrating that this wasn't communicated before I was sold on the extra work. To make matters worse, after leaving the shop, I realized I hadn't been given the warranty card for the new tires I purchased. I had to turn around and spend another 30 minutes retrieving it, which only added to the frustration of an already disappointing experience. I took time off work to be there, and now I have to figure out how to take more time off to address an issue that should have been resolved today. I don't believe it should fall on me to confirm the availability of parts before an appointment, and I'm very upset about how this was handled. How do I trust Toyota of Bowie in the future for service or sales? To make matters worse, the receipt had a big note on it that if I had issues, I should email the service manager Edbyn Lopez- I did and haven't even had the courtesy of of a response in a week, so I'm posting here. Beware Toyota Bowie service....

I recommend checking independent…read morereview sites, as I believe their Google ratings may not reflect the real customer experience. In my experience, Green Tec DOES NOT stand behind their warranty. My repair shop purchased a part from them that came with a 24-month warranty. When the part failed within that warranty period, it took almost two months for them to approve and provide a replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement part failed in January within months of installation and within a 24 month warranty window. After weeks of repeated calls and messages, I was told that replacement parts are not covered under warranty. This means the replacement part provided was protected and junk, leaving me with another failed part, no support, and now no car. Since then, I have continued trying to contact customer service. Each time I explain the situation, I am transferred to voicemail, and my calls are not returned.

They have a facility in Kansas that rebuilds High voltage batteries from cores. I purchased the 3 year warranty battery for just over $9,000.00. I think the extra money for the warranty in this case is worth it. 3 weeks to get a battery shipped to the Bowie location. They called and we made an appointment. Said it would take about a week. This is the one star loss, I had to figure out the best time to reach them, no receptionist. (0800). I made the followup calls. The only other time they called was when it was finished. That said, it took 6 weeks, but in the middle they didn't like how the car was talking to the battery, so they ordered another one from Kansas, no cost to me. When I talked to him he was always knowledgeable. I am a retired Diesel shop supervisor, working my way through the ranks. I am the worst mechanical customer I know, but he treated me very and patiently. Listened to me. In the end Very good product, much more stable than my last one. The one lingering commo problem with the car is reprogramming itself out. Love a happy ending. Use them for your High voltage needs. They'll get it fixed right, just be ready for no phone updates, you're in charge of those.
