The website is simple: Select any of the tasty "zas," text your order 1-2 days in advance, pay via Venmo, and pick up behind the WeHo landmark, Formosa Cafe, off of Santa Monica Blvd. On this visit, I chose to go with the "Victory Lap" (Red Sauce, Jidori Chicken, House Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Mozzarella) and the "Dear Momma" (Basil Tofu, Sungold Tomatoes, Squash, Lemon Sorrel, New Zealand Spinach). Next, I texted the number on the website and told them my name and the date and time I wanted to pick up. The return communication was smooth and straightforward. They confirm your order the day of and request Venmo payment for a smooth transaction. Upon arrival, located at 7100 Santa Monica Boulevard behind the historic Formosa Cafe, I pulled into several pick up spots near a loading dock and texted my information that I was on site. A few minutes later, Chef Brandon emerged, mask and pizzas in hand, and delivered them to my car window. He told me to enjoy and left his business card (see attached photo). I couldn't wait to get home. Both pizzas were incredible. Fresh and tasty. The dough is soft and wonderful. The Victory Lap was packed with flavor and the sauce was delicious. Dear Momma was also quite unique. A healthy option, the colorful ingredients did not disappoint and the pesto was spot on. Although a bit pricier than a standard pizza, these artisan pies are definitely worth it. You almost feel like part of a select secret club that is hidden in Los Angeles, and I'm all for it. read more

You haven't lived until you've had Brandoni pizza. This was our first time trying Brandoni. We were looking for a black owned restaurant we hadn't tried before to support on Juneteenth (and forever after) and we were truly blown away by the artistry that was served to us in a pizza box. When we ordered we didn't realize they didn't open until 4, but luckily it wasn't a huge wait. We texted them and they were extremely responsive and even asked if we wanted to add anything to the pizza (since we asked for no artichoke) and added extra cheese for free. They also threw in a free container of 'sprinkle me on everything' for the wait and thank god they did! we didn't know what we were missing. We were kind of confused when we first pulled up because it's just an apartment complex, but the confirmation text we got reassured us we were in the right place. We got the eazy duz it salad and the big bank pizza. The salad was great, the dressing was awesome (i bet it would be really great with some honey). I picked up pizza from here yesterday and everything was five stars. 1) Ordering via text was straightforward. However, I recommend putting in your order at least a day ahead because this place is popular! 2) Pick-up was right on time, and the shopping center has an easily accessible area to park your car while you wait for your order to come out fresh from the oven. 3) The pizza was delicious! My friend told me about a place where you ordered pizza online and a guy came out with your pizza from some apartment complex when you rolled up. Sounded kind of odd but she said he made great pizzas. So I ordered "I got 5 on it" and "Friday." Each pizza was around $20 give or take and would probably feed 1.5 person. You can only order pizza between 4-8pm Thursday through Sunday online, choosing one of the open time slots for pickup. Brandoni's only accepts Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Cash. Once you order, you're notified that your order is complete. An automated text message then notifies you that the order has been confirmed and depending on on your chosen payment method, tells you how to complete your order/payment. I received a non automated text from Brandon to confirm ETA and to text the make and model of my car once I got to the location. He gave me a heads up to let me know he had moved and it was the first day at the new location. Google took us to some back alley and it ended up being on the wrong side of the road but Brandon found us. I think he's located out of an office building now. Both pizzas were good but I liked "I got 5 on it" more than "Friday" which is more of the traditional pepperoni pizza with lemon ricotta. "I got 5 on it" had lots of flavor, especially if you like different cheeses. His other pizzas sound great so maybe I'll be more adventurous next time. Overall, good pizza and Brandon is a really nice guy. A bit pricey but I feel like eating out is in general. Definitely a place to check out. read more

When I realized that pick up is just a few blocks away from me, I had to try this place out. Smooth ordering and pre-payment via mobile, I pulled up in front at my scheduled pick up time, parked, texted a description of my car and in moments Brandon himself was standing outside my car pizza boxes in hand. My neighbor and I enjoyed two absolutely beautiful vegetarian pies (I didn't want to choose so decided to hold impromptu pizza party - highly recommend this strategy). I've gotten takeout from Brandon 4 times now and literally everything I've had has been delicious. The Eazy-Duz-It salad, the Friday, the Born and Raised (my fiance's and my favorite), the Victory Lap, the wings, the tiramisu, the sprinkle me sauce - literally *everything*. And the cookies! Don't sleep on the cookies. I consider myself a cookie snob and these are some of the best chocolate chip cookies I've had in LA - slightly crispy edges, chewy center, with a light dusting of salt on top for that perfect balance of salty and sweet. I'm sometimes tempted to just order these alone when I'm in the mood for a nighttime snack. Ordering for curbside pickup is super chill, and luckily I've never had a problem doing same day pickup, though I normally try to text at least a couple of hours in advance if I'm trying to pick up same day. Brandon's an equally chill, super nice dude and his Michelin-starred training comes through in all aspects of his business - from customer service, menu variety (which can be vegan friendly if you ask!), high quality ingredients, even all the way down to his pizza boxes, which if you look carefully enough, has a dude with a sharpie'd on beard to match his beard. The attention to detail is unreal for what could otherwise be seen as just your everyday pizza place. But this isn't your everyday pizza place - it's way, way better. Let me start by saying the service here is awesome and ordering could not be easier! Just text them with your order and you get a quick response back. They even offer a pre-cooked option if you're coming from farther away which allows you to finish baking the pizza in your own oven for ooey, gooey, cheesy perfection. We loved the 1st round of Za's following week, went back for more. Steady Mobbin, Way 2 Fonky and Twist my Finger. Mushroom we loved. Hubby could not get enough of the onion confit. Steady Mobbin was really good and different with lemon ricotta. I really wanted to love Octopus on Pizza, it was good, sauce was special, almost like a curry flavor. Brandon text to confirm order, I mentioned I was coming from Burbank, he asked if he would like him to par bake and then I could finish baking in my oven at 360 for 10 min. When he delivered pizzas in the car, he separated the herb toppings, so I could add them myself and they would not wilt. Za's turned out fantastic. I will order za's this way from now on.
