My experience was quite different, we had a party of six celebrating a very special occasion. Thinking this Steakhouse is rated 4 stars we thought we couldn't go wrong, that was our first mistake. Of the first 5 salads brought out they had to take em back because of the 'off' odor. Our server explained that maybe it was the radishes (not what I would expect from a four star steakhouse). When the entrées came out three people had ordered filet mignon's, which I was told was very tasty. One of the patrons had ordered New York strip (three of us confirmed that) and was given and charged for a filet mignon rather than taking it back to the kitchen and giving the patron what they ordered. It was unfortunate, but the service in my opinion was not four-star they did check on us occasionally and kept the water glasses full and 'maybe' they even asked if everything was OK. Not wanting to spend $60 for a steak (I was a guest) I ordered the seafood roast. It turned out to be a very tasty bisque, but a tasty bowl of soup shouldn't cost $35.00. Give em try if you want to gamble on a great experience. My recommendation is to go to Western Steakhouse, enjoy the much better ambience, 120% better experience for maybe 10% more. You do you, all six of us know where we'll go next time.

Anyone familiar with this area knows parking can already be difficult, especially during peak hours when people are trying to grab lunch, pick up an order, or make a quick stop. What makes this particularly frustrating is that these spaces appear to be occupied for extended periods of time, often throughout the day, by someone who owns and operates a nearby business. Public street parking in a busy commercial corridor is a shared resource intended to serve customers and visitors, not to function as a personal parking space for a single business owner. This review is not a reflection of the products or service at Ruby Shake Shop. It is simply feedback regarding what appears to be an extremely inconsiderate use of limited public parking in an area where parking availability already impacts customers and neighboring businesses.

I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. They had been here once before for dinner, dine-in, about eight months ago, and I was pretty pleased. Not sure if the times are tough, or if they've had a change in style, but the food has really gone downhill. (For reference, I'll return to a restaurant I rate a 4 but I won't return to a restaurant I rated a 3 unless someone I'm with wants to go to it). Here's what they do well: exceptionally good and friendly service, the portions are extremely generous given the already great prices, homemade flour tortillas, smooth horchata, great guac (finely diced onion and tomato in it), delicious bean and cheese burrito with great umami (love when it's salty and richly flavorful), being able to view the kitchen in action (people pay a lot of money for those teppanyaki show style dinners! lol), and frankly because they were already rated so high I figured the Yelp community can't be wrong! Here's what was less than impressive on my visit in late August 2026: my huevos rancheros sauce was bland. I could sense there was a hint of chicken bullion in the background but for the most part I felt like I was eating watered down canned tomato sauce that had been thickened with cornstarch and had a pinch of bullion. I was hoping for some acidity, some cumin, some spice-- something! But it just fell flat. I was also disappointed that there was essentially bits of raw bell pepper just thrown on top. In addition, I personally don't mind their deteriorating "ambiance" but I think it might matter to the average person searching reviews on Yelp so I gotta tell ya, it's rough inside; I'm talking exposed wood in the countertop, cracked and peeling barstool cushions (all they have is barstool seating by the way, but there's plenty of seats and they are lined up around a long counter that faces the kitchen). Now, I can't end with that for a "4" so do let me remind you of some of the good: great prices, good portions, friendly service, and lots of yelpers appear to rate them highly. My recommendation, perhaps try a burrito-- the simple bean and cheese burrito my daughter got (that I took a bite of) was fantastic.
