We showed up 20 minutes later and our table was waiting for us. We were impressed that such a little country restaurant had lots of choices and served breakfast all day. We ordered our drinks and food. Our drinks came quickly but there was quite a wait on our food. However we expected that as the restaurant was packed. It was just a regular Wednesday morning and they were slammed, usually a sign of a good place. We didn't mind waiting as they had cute little handmade things to look at and an entire section of stuff for kids to do. They had books, coloring books, puzzle books, games, toys, etc all for kiddos to use while they waited. They even let our kids each take something home. When our food came out, it was hot and delicious and everyone's order was correct. The portions were huge and we ended up needing several to go boxes. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. As we were wrapping up, the owner profusely apologized for our wait. They were very busy and also training some new people. We told them not to worry as we were totally satisfied but when our bill came there was a sizeable discount for our wait. It was totally unexpected and incredibly generous. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town! Cute restaurant, friendly staff and excellent food!

Our waitress was very nice and the dining room was casual and welcoming. This is a must go if you are in the area.

Clearly they have a fantastic take out following. The food is all fresh prepared. I had the burrito for breakfast - delicious. The owner and staff were all friendly and attentive. They felt that I had to wait a bit long for my burrito (there had been a large group and several take-out orders ahead of me), so they provided me with a treat - chocolate monkey bread! As the owner said - "its about the integrity of the food." It certainly is.

At the waitresses recommended I ordered the nachos with pork. Not what I'd normally order for dinner but decided to give it a try. If your in the mood for cheese wiz type cheese with tomato's and Lettuce on nachos it's about what you might expect. She was correct the roasted pork on top was good. My friend ordered the hamburger special and was not very impressed with it. Because is his lower rating I thought about giving it a 3 star but for me, La Clare delivered the food and experience I expected from this local small town eatery.

A local man recommended this place to me, said if it was weekend I could stay and eat all day, but still would get a giant plate of deliciousness even on a Wednesday afternoon.. The food was incredible, enormous portions, waitresses were all super nice and friendly, very welcoming to an outsider/traveler like myself, and will definitely be going out of my way to stop back by here whenever I am back in state!

A nice table near the baseball game caught our eye. We didn't eat only ordered drinks. They arrived promptly and cold. My Margarita was perfect and went down quick. Next thing I knew there were people everywhere. Hugging, laughing and chatting away. We didn't stayuch longer but I hear the burgers are amazing so we will definitely be back So I can get one of those.

Breakfast Experience…read more I want to start this review with noting that our waitress was great. She brought us our drinks promptly, made sure we had refills if we needed. And was very kind. However, our food, no matter how large the portion was, was not very good. The egg of the omelette was brown in spots and too crunchy for my tastes. The ham pieces were good, the sautéed onions were great. But where on earth is all the cheese?! No cheese on top, and all the cheese was towards the folded portion inside the omelette. Now, I know we asked for modifications from American cheese to cheddar, and we asked for hash browns to be added to our omelette, but the taste just wasn't it. Also, the salt and pepper shakers were icky to the touch. And then we got our bill, and we were astonished to see how much two omelettes, a coffee, and two waters with lemon were. I've had wayyyy better omelettes for a lot less (see my other reviews). Might be a fun place to hang out with friends and have a drink, but definitely not a good breakfast spot.
