Basil Chicken Sandwich
Daniel S.

Nice sports bar located right by Seat Geek Stadium. I went here for my fantasy football draft not long ago. We went early on a Friday evening, so it wasn't too crowded, got served pretty quickly. We just did buckets of beers, and I got a chicken sandwich which was pretty good. They had a lot of TVs at all angles, so it'd be ideal for watching any sports match. They have a decent size parking lot, and is just a few miles south on Harlem off I-55. There's not a whole lot of options in that area, so this may be one of your better options for going out. My friend works nearby there so that's how I discovered it. Wouldn't be opposed to coming back at some point in the future.

False advertisement- place in the back is apparently its own entity while they are promoting Branding Iron. $3 tacos and only have chicken. Ordered 6 tacos and my goodness did they SKIMP on the meat. All the tacos came out cold, barely any chicken in them, FULL of onion chunks and a sprinkle of cilantro. Absolutely HORRIBLE! Advertising drinks at a certain price for today and not honoring it and charging more than it should be. Will never come here after this experience and all the false advertising they have been posting. RED FLAG ESTABLISHMENT!!!

Branding Iron Mule And Beyond Burger

Branding Iron isone of the best restaurants in Bridgeview. It's a pretty easy feat. Most of the places around here are garbage, and this place can actually be pleasant. Come in to watch a game and chill. The prices are the worst thing about it, with these being pretty ridiculous on a few things. Came in with the girl to watch a game. It also happens to have drinks and food, making it a good experience overall. The only complaint was the prices. Cocktail prices aren't that bad. We got a few of these. I had the Branding Iron Mule. It's about $8 for the cheapest cocktails, so pretty average for this. This one has ginger beer, lime, and vodka. It was easy to knock back. The menu is mostly meaty. Good thing about it is they have a few vegetarian items. The bad thing is the price. Each of us got a Beyond Burger. It's about $13 and comes with a side. The prices were crappy but the food sure wasn't. It was a big ass burger. This almost was worth the high price. Good filling meal and the service wasn't bad either. It's certainly a place I could come to again if ever around here. The prices are the only complaint but if you're looking for a fun sports bar this is one, whether getting vegetarian food or something such as wings.

Ribs, coleslaw and baked beans

Terrible food and loud music. Their menu says they are known for their ribs and there is no reason why. I don't think they seasoned the meat at all unless drenched in bad vinegar based bbq sauce is a "seasoning". I needed the big steak knife to cut through half the meat. They said the slaw is mayo based but what they meant is all mayo with no other flavor. Who can mess up beans? Well, they dumped a pound of sugar in them. Terrrrrible experience. Plus they give you steak knives and real spoons, but plastic forks. The waiter was nice, but doesn't know the menu. He told us we had to order sides, even though I pointed out the menu said that my husbands dish came with mashed potato and slaw. They brought out the dish with the sides (as the menu stated) and then extra sides. Of course we weee charged for them and when I said something, the waiter said that he told us the sides were extra. Never going back. Super disappointed.

Would be a great place to go post concert/game as it is right outside Seatgeek Stadium.

We walked back out and found the door to the restaurant. Staff is warm and friendly and we were seated quickly. Our server was Robert and he was great! He gave his recommendations for which sides would go best with our meals and I felt they were spot on. They give complimentary bread and butter. It was warm and delicious. Hubby ordered the rib tips with fries, baked beans, and had the hot and mild barbecue sauce on the side. I ordered the 1/2 dark smoked chicken dinner with mac-n-cheese, spicy Cajun green beans, and spicy honey garlic barbecue sauce. I agree with Robert, that the sauce pairs very well with the chicken. The tips were tender and falling off the bone. He didn't care for the fries and loved the baked beans, even though they were a bit too spicy for him. My chicken was also very tender and I enjoyed the smokiness. The green beans had the right amount of spice although they were not as spicy as the baked beans. The mac-n-cheese was creamy. We were too full to order dessert. Maybe next time. This is a great neighborhood staple and will definitely be back.

The lighting and décor felt festive without being overwhelming, and the space itself is huge. There's plenty of room whether you're dining with family, catching a game with friends, or just unwinding with drinks after a long day. Speaking of drinks, they're very reasonably priced--definitely worth opening a tab and relaxing for a while. For food, I tried Chuck's Wings with roasted vegetables and Cajun fries. Nothing is ever truly perfect, but these wings came close. The sauce was spot-on--easily some of the best I've had. The vegetables were cooked just right and packed with flavor, and the Cajun fries tied everything together perfectly. Overall, this spot delivers on both atmosphere and quality. Definitely worth checking out.

I especially liked the meat/ham in the skillet. It's flavorful. 1 star off because it was inconvenient and uncomfortable to dine here. They only have 3 parking spots at the small parking lot in the back. For the majority of parking spots there, they are NOT for this restaurant. You can't park there or your car will be towed (see a picture of the parking lot with the sign below). I ended up parking my car at the much bigger parking lot across from the street. NO WIFI here either. The AC was functioning at the beginning so it felt comfortable, however it started to feel hot later so I didn't want to stay for any longer. I think this place is still worth stopping by during spring or fall when you're not driving because the food was good! Also there's a grocery store (Fair Share) across from this restaurant and I did get some things from there.
