Last Wednesday I came for the draft deal and Sam was my main bartender. She was amazing. Other bars don't attend to customers right away but she went over and beyond. She was fun to be around and quickest person to ever serve my drinks . -Dominic read more

Unfortunately, my experience tonight was really disappointing. The DJ they hired on 9/11/2026 would not take song requests, even though we were there for hours. I understand DJs have their own sets, but refusing to play even one reasonable request felt unnecessarily dismissive. What made it worse was having someone from his group come over afterward to tell me not to do that again, while the DJ doubled down on it. That interaction was incredibly unprofessional and left a really bad impression. They should seriously reconsider hiring this DJ again because, unfortunately, they lost my business tonight--and potentially the business of someone who regularly shares experiences with a social media audience. The one bright spot was Gina, who is truly the BEST server. She was fantastic, and I genuinely hate that this experience means I won't feel comfortable coming back. Gina deserves all the credit in the world for being so wonderful. read more

This place is so rad!!! It's our first time here, and they just gave us a little tour of their awesome event venues. Its has a super chill laid back vibe and you can tell that just about anyone can come in and enjoy themselves. Their drinks are on point, and the bartender Kristyn has some of the best customer service I've had in Chicago. 10/10, would highly recommend read more

Nice place. Bartender's, meh. Love the layout, bands, pool tables, game room! Bartender's seem to ignore ya if you ain't a regular. But still a place to go. read more

Tried to have my birthday party here called emailed dozens of times could never reach anyone! Tried the place anyway & what a mistake! HORRIBLE "ambiance" if any at all terrible service very unorganized establishment we all walked in stayed waited for service waited for music but NOTHING! I would NEVER patronize again! read more

I like this place and I think you will too good music in atmosphere in a cool location

I have pool league there on Tuesdays, great place! Big space and staff is super friendly. Amber the bartender is super nice and funny and Alaina is a great manager, very accommodating. Maybe she'll convince you into a $3 Mystery shot like me lol... Another plus is the food, especially the wings and burgers!! Concert/ band venue ambiance is also a great vibe in their back room on the weekends check it out! read more

The pizza was terrible. Service not bad. They charge you 20% on every order gratitude. read more

Great place to be. They got pool darts and a arcade room to spend your nights at. Gina will definitely take care of you. Check it out

I am done with Magoos Bar & Grill. Unfortunately I was offered an unacceptable amount of money to leave at midnight tonight and it was implied that the owner, and the event manager, Ben, never heard of me and that I wasn't scheduled to host tonight (I only share events created by the bar which show the days and times I am scheduled to be there.) Absolutely disgraceful treatment to a contractor that has been nothing but professional, polite, and direct. As an educator and a small business owner I fault myself for overlooking red flags thrown up by current & former employers, former patrons, and regulars of my shows. Independent contractors BEWARE! read more

Undeniably going to be Chicagolands premier venue for live entertainment. Great stages, food, and staff.

Great service, fun environment. If you are looking for a good time stop in and check it out!! You won't be disappointed

Unfortunately I won't be returning here. A fellow patron asked the DJ for a Spanish song and the owner/manager said no we don't play "that music ." I witnessed this and I was NOT happy. read more

The change this place has went through in such a short timespan is incredible. Aside from being a premier music venue, the wings are the best in the 60638 area code and the staff is as friendly as they are welcoming. Excellent place to watch sports, play some pool/arcade games, eat wings, or catch a concert in just about any genre you could imagine. Love bringing people from all over to show them this hidden gem. read more

Service was phenomenal, staff was very attentive in helping with problems with machines (air hockey). Went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great and drinks were great as well. Particularly a bartender named Kyle. Definitely will be returning because of his service overall this place has grown a lot since Ive been there last. Nice crowd, no problems, good drinks, good games, overall a very fun place to be. 10/10 read more

I'll give it 2 stars because the bartender was nice about everything and cuter than a Care Bear, but the service here is slow as fuuuuuuuuu......u get it. Taco Tuesday, came in for bingo and it was deader than Chris Farley. So u would think tacos would be quick since it's the especial, right. Nope. 45 mins later and they still aren't here. So they finally come....see pic attached. Not only are they smaller than Bucky Larsons peeper, but they're cold as eskimo ass. This isnt even a troll, folks. This is real life. Great place to drink, terrible place to eat and/or do cocaine. Another update, your wings gave me the runs and your toilet was broke, sorry for the mess. read more

Giving it a 3 because past times I've been never had an issue. I come here regularly I like the spot but today got kinda bummed. I ordered a Guinness beer and unfortunately none in stock(no biggie) I didn't know what to order I was browsing the beers then the bartender suggests I try the 312 she said its similar to Guiness. I trusted my tender I mean I even asked its a dark and said yes. Guess what it was nothing similar to a Guiness beer which I was craving! I pours a little bit in glass and after seeing color I immediately asked her to plz switch it. She said its open no returns no exchanges. No problem I went ahead and ordered another. Point being don't suggest beers if you don't have the knowledge! read more

Walked in on a Thursday going into Friday night, to be precise around, 12:30 AM or so. Crowd was small which I LOVED. Very nice new place, parking is SOUTH of the business itself. When going SOUTH on 65th, you might quickly think that there's NO WAY in hell a bar is nestled along this deserted strip that lacks any liveliness, all you're surrounded by are factories of sorts maybe? Seemed a little eerie at first, I know I was in for a little shocker. Please proceed SOUTH along 65th & Menard and do not be afraid as you WILL in fact find this pretty sweet new bar/lounge. Anyway! Sweet prices, good crowd, very modern, TVs on, good music, good vibes. I will be back soon! read more

I've been coming here for a while now. There's this old lady, Debbie as a bartender, sucks. She gives you the wrong order. Puts things on your tab that you didn't order and gives food that you ordered to other people. The bartenders that worked there before were better. They sure need to get rid of this one. read more

Do not eat here! Save yourself the time and money and do not even come here for anything. Service is terrible. Loud weird and rap music, no mixture at all in music. Bar tender talked very soft and could not hear here. She just stood. There most the time not offering help if I needed a drink. Waitress and cook totally messed up our orders and it took way too long. Bread must have just come out of the freezer. Food was not warm except fries. Fries was the only good thing. Do not eat the burgers or cheese sticks. This place is bad. Stay away. Bathrooms are not clean and gross. Order mild wings and they were not that great and very spicy. We were here about 3 hours. A lot of that time was spent trying to get food. Some of that time was spent playing pool and darts and waiting for the kitchen to open. The Kitchen did not open till after 7:30pm. Trying to pay and get out of here. Music is too loud and weird rap and crazy music. Not even sure what it would be called but it's bad. In the end the cheese sticks were taken off the bill for the inconvenience of them messing up that order. Still not coming back. I hope I don't get food poisoning tonight. I feel it might be a good possibility unfortunately. read more

Great atmosphere. Very low key place if you just want to go play pool and darts, this is the place.

Some of the best Mexican food I've ever eaten. The Bomba rice, and Espinacas(spinach) quesadillas are among my favorites. The drink menu here is also extensive and delicious. I really like the Guava Cipriani and the La Reina. The service is also very good. read more

Just finished enjoying Wednesday's wing & beer special, but what made my experience that much more enjoyable was the definitely the service. Rene's service is what has enticed me to express how thankful I am to have stumbled upon this wonderfully hidden gem! This bar wasn't bad. More of a Sports bar type of vibe. I came in for the Wednesday special (.50¢ Miller draft and .50¢ wings). The wings were good but not all that warm (temperature wise). The fries were really good. The bar was jam packed and it was kind of lengthy to get a refill. But I get it, it's .50¢. The service was average. The beer was served out of a can, even though they said draft. The music was way too loud but overall it was an average experience. Oh and by the way, the bar is an industrial setting. Kind of odd, but cool. read more

Called in the morning to confirm they were showing UFC. They said Yes. I showed up before UFC and was later informed that they had rented the bar out to a private party, so I would have to leave before the UFC fight. They should not confirm on the UFC website as hosting the event. They wasted my time. The owner was apologetic and the waitress gave me good service, which earns them a star. read more

I came here for a special event twice, so I have a slightly different experience here. There was a charity event in the backroom, a wine and sip event, which was great. Big enough space, although it was chilly. The limited interaction in the bar was very good. One of the specials they had one day was a bomb-ass bloody Mary that included a white castle slider. Was not expecting this from an out of way bar like this one. Pair that with good prices for drinks, I had a good time at this bar! read more

This is the best bar in the Chicago area, hands-down. The staff is super friendly and funny, they mix their drinks so well with JUST enough alcohol to get you tipsy (but not too tipsy haha). Not to mention the food is DELICIOUS AF, which is rare for a bar to have amazing drinks and food BUT MAGOO'S GETS THE JOB DONE. They have bingo nights which are always a good time, and plenty of slots for everyone (although i cant say i win much unfortunately). But overall Jim has a great bar here, and I recommend it to anyone visiting the area! read more

Only reason I enjoy Magoos is for the delicious wings. Had an incident with a back of house employee regarding the cup me and my significant other were poured our blue moon in. We don't enjoy the draft beers so we expect our drinks to be poured in a glass cup not the plastic ones that I believe aren't the same oz serving size. The employee had a very bad attitude (the one pictured in the below review with a pink sweater) when explaining why so we saw the owner and he gave us a explained reasonable answer. We left the bar after because I don't like to deal with people who can't communicate in a mannerly fashion especially when they are there to serve you and do their job. I do appreciate the owner talking to us about the problem. Will be back again but never to stay too long, just for my wings and a blue moon. read more

Came on a Wednesday night not realizing the special of the day was 50 cent wings so that was a nice surprise. Unfortunately they were so busy and short staffed, the kitchen was very behind and took a while to get our food. There was only one bartender and she was doing her best to keep up. If it wasn't for her we would have probably left sooner but we knew it wasn't her fault and she was doing her best. I can't remember her name but she says she works there every Wednesday's and Thursdays. She's awesome!!!! We came back on a Sunday for Bloody Marys and wasn't impressed at all. The Bloody Mary photos on Yelp wasn't what we were served and it taste like tomato juice. Very thin and barely any spice. There was literally 3 people at the bar and the bartender seemed like he didn't care to be there. We felt we could find a better spot with bartenders more personable so we left right away. read more
