Dishonest service at this location! Do not recommend! We've…read morebeen taking our truck to this location for a while for various services and just trusted they were providing honest work. They recently replaced the throttle body and the battery within the last year. Well recently the truck has been going into limp mode while driving, so we took the truck back to Jack Furrier to figure out the problem. After several days, they said the problem appeared to be the battery and replaced it again. But we picked the truck up and the next day during a very short drive, the truck went back into limp mode again. So we drop the truck back off at Jack Furrier for further service. After the truck was there for another week, they finally tell us they can't get the truck to go into limp mode on test drives, which makes no sense since it was going into limp mode on only short drives for us. So they tell us they can't figure it out/fix it and we will need to pick the truck up and take it to the dealer for them to fix. When we pick up the truck, it literally goes into limp mode right there in the Jack Furrier parking lot. We run in to tell them so they can diagnose it, but their mechanic is not there of course, so we take the truck to the dealer as instructed. Well, the dealer mechanic tells us it is the throttle body that Jack Furrier recently replaced that was causing the issue after all, and the part Jack Furrier had used was aftermarket and no good. The dealer replaced it with the proper part, and the limp mode issue was resolved. So I'm pretty sure Jack Furrier knew the issue was the faulty throttle body the whole time but didn't want to fess up to it and take a loss, and they lied about not being able to get the truck into limp mode and/or lied about even taking it on test drives at all since they already knew the real issue. Needless to say we will not be going back to this location and do not recommend their services to anyone.

I had a 1 pm appointment but when I got there they told me the oil change and tire rotation and multiple point inspection would take 1 hr and they were running 20 min late. I expected to get out there at 2:20 pm but when everything was said and done it was 2:45 pm. You can choose to drop off your car or wait. Also they test drive your car before and afterwards. By test drive they basically drive it around the parking lot of the shopping center. I found it weird that they do that for an oil change and tire rotation. I've been to other places where they are faster and don't need to test drive your car. I suspect there may have issues in the past where people complained about a problem with their car and they was no way of knowing if it was an existing problem or a new problem. The salesperson was upfront and honest with me and gave me a bunch of recommendations for my car because it's approaching 100k miles. The cost of doing all the recommended things basically cost $5400 but nothing was an existing issue. That declined all the recommended repairs for me and didn't try to upsell anything. I did have to sign that I was declining all recommendations. I honestly think if it ain't broke don't fix it. Some of the items were maintenance items like brake fluid flush, cabin and air filter changes, etc. They do charge a $5 oil disposal fee on top of the oil change which is no biggie but just know that it isn't included in the oil change price. My only complaint was that from appointment start to finish I spent 1.75 hours instead of the 1 hr I was expecting. They got so backlogged that a walk-in customer needing an oil change couldn't get one and the place still had 3 hrs to go before closing. I would recommend to an appointment by booking online and if a walk-in, go in the morning.

The fluid all leaked out before they could even get to the corner of the building. Oh, I could have said, "Don't fix that.", but have you ever tried to drive a car when the power steering isn't working? It's much different from the older cars that had no power steering to begin with. It takes 3 men, a boy and a small dog to turn the steering wheel. In addition, it probably would have destroyed the new serpentine belt in a hurry.

I chose to take my car to Borst Automotive because of the excellent service I received last year…read more Unfortunately, that level of service has completely disappeared. The little touches that made them stand out are gone. They no longer provide a complimentary car wash after service, they let go of the driver who used to take customers home, and none of the management team that was there last year is still there. The entire atmosphere of the shop has changed, and not for the better. I explained to Fernando, the general manager, that my vehicle had mostly been sitting in my garage since July and that I wanted a routine service along with an inspection of a specific issue I had asked them to evaluate. Instead, I was sent an estimate for nearly $5,700 that didn't even address the repairs I specifically brought the car in for. Several items were marked as "critical," and the estimate instructed me to call with any questions. When I called to review the estimate, Fernando immediately responded, "Didn't you get the report I sent?" I explained that I had, but I'm not a mechanic and wanted someone to explain what the findings actually meant. He told me I needed both my front and rear suspension replaced because of the control arms. However, when I pointed out that the inspection report only said the manufacturer recommended the rear suspension and didn't identify it as a problem, he suddenly backed off and said it wasn't necessary at this time. The conversation became increasingly frustrating. His tone was pushy, dismissive, and argumentative. He accused me of having the vehicle serviced somewhere else in November and implied I hadn't maintained it properly. I explained that the car had been sitting in my garage from July until March and that the only reason it was seen elsewhere was because the battery died and needed to be replaced. He then insisted that I had been driving the car extensively because it had accumulated 2,000 miles. I had to explain that those 2,000 miles were driven over an entire year, which is actually very low mileage. At that point, I realized I was arguing with the person inspecting my car about facts that he could easily verify from the service records. That was enough for me. I sent the inspection report and estimate to a trusted friend who is an experienced mechanic in another state. He immediately told me that the quoted prices were roughly double what they should be and advised me not to have the work done there. I have since found another mechanic who treated me with respect, took the time to explain what my car actually needs and quoted much more reasonable prices.
