This review is long overdue! We have used BM for many years for our business autos and for our personal cars. For brakes, oil changes, and repairs. Adrian is ALWAYS kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Mechanics are clean and trustworthy. Prices are very reasonable. I cannot count how many times we have been here, and have had exceptional, quick, and friendly service each and every time. Thanks Brake masters! read more

This shop was recommended by America's Tire on Merrill Avenue in Riverside. Went there to get my car aligned as it was pulling to the right. They agreed to do the job and told me that I needed a camber kit. I have no idea if that was truly needed but I trusted them. What in my opinion should have been an $80 alignment turned out to cost $175.90 for the alignment, camber kit, and camber labor. The technician performed the job and went for a test drive. Apparently the car wasn't right so he put it up on the rack and worked on it for another 1/2 hour. After about two hours total, they delivered the car back to me saying that it was aligned and in good condition. I paid the bill and drove home while observing the car's behavior. It didn't seem quite right but it wasn't bad. Fast forward several months: I was never satisfied with the "feel" of the car while driving in a straight line despite the fact that I never bumped a curb or hit potholes. I got tired of the car not being "right" so had it re-aligned at a different shop six months later. Of course, they told me the car was not in alignment and corrected the problem which cost an additional $70. Now my car tracks perfectly straight and I'm happy. Total cost $245.90. Not going back to this shop---ever. read more

If your considering coming get, do not do it! I can't in October 2018. Got new brakes and rotors front and back with lifetime guarantee. I was back in there and getting my back brakes and left rotor replaced in May of 2019. Had to spend an additional 250 bucks for services. This pay does a great job of marketing themselves in a way that makes it seem like your getting a deal. But you do be way to much for brake services even with their lifetime guarantee. You will be lucky if you get 20K miles before having to replace your brakes again because of the inferior products they use. Will be looking for another place to service my vehicle from here on out read more

Called for estimate just to replace front pads only on 2020. Rotors are smooth and clean.I was told 250.00-300.00 !!!! just to replace pads!! I hope no one ever goes for this highway ROBBERY read more

I hate admitting this but in stereotypicaI fashion, I know nothing about cars and reaIIy hate deaIing with the nuances of keeping up with maintenance. They run a trustworthy & honest business and I 100% trust their opinion and their quaIity of work. I've been there for simpIe oiI changes, battery work, and bigger repairs. And every time the work is done with anaI perfection and worth every penny. HighIy recommend! For reference, I have an Audi which apparentIy is a big pain in the butt to upkeep and repair. Brake Masters - Auto Repair Near Me - Riverside, California

I had a terrific experience at Brake Masters and I highly recommend them. My car started to make a scratching sound as I pulled into my work's parking lot. It sounded like it was my brakes, so I started to get nervous. I took it to Brake Masters off Indiana and they were honest about what happened. TJ, the Mgr., said my backpad (behind my tires) was bent and it was rubbing against something. He said they would bend it back for me! I would definitely go back here again. Integrity will always bring me back. I will be happy to refer you! Thanks, TJ and Brake Masters. read more

After looking around for a place to get my Axles done, I came across this Brake Masters. Not knowing much about cars, Sergio the manager was able to guide me with all the info I needed. I'm extremely picky where I get my car services done and me selecting this place and giving it a thumbs up is a huge deal! I will definitely be getting my future car work done here. read more

The sleazy, scam, ripoff shop you would be scared to have your mom go to. I made an appointment for a $99 Wheel alignment for my truck. Got there, checked in, waited 30 minutes, put my truck on the lift, set up to perform alignment. The same guy "Sergio" comes out and tells me that it needs a caster adjustment! No way, really?! Tells me that it's an extra $60 to do that. Telling me that it's $160 to perform a Two Wheel alignment. That they only adjust "tow" and not caster or camber with an alignment. That's just crooked and wrong. Bait and switch tactics. I had them take my truck off the lift and left. Alignment is to adjust all available adjustments to make the vehicle set to factory: caster, camber, and tow. If it's a vehicle that requires rear wheel alignment: this would be considered a 4 Wheel alignment. So I'm reporting them to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. You should to. read more

I hardly do these but I just got my car back and I have to say I had a great experience here. They did an amazing job and were honest. Which is a big deal for me with mechanics as I have always had bad experiences with mechanics lying and then over charging. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, great prices and service. Keep it up Brake Masters. read more

I usually take my vehicles here for alignments, I didn't know that they did general automotive. My van overheated and they did the complete repair and replacement of ALL hoses, water pump, thermostat, radiator, and the tensioner. Got me financing for the majority of the repairs all the while being courteous, friendly and understanding. Thanks to Leonard and Sergio for all their help! read more

Worst customer service ever. As soon as I walked in it felt like a hostile workplace. Sergio Sanchez the mgr was horrible. I took my car In. In order to get the brakes and oil change done. Luis tells me both front and back rodors need to be changed, and I'm looking at $1,000 but can bring it down to $700, I decide to only do the oil change. Mgr Sergio Sanchez then approached me and asked me who services my car? I let him know that it's usually Honda dealership or my husband. He then tells me "so you basically brought the car in, in order for us to inspect it, and take it back home and let your husband know, so he can fix it. I argued back and forth and then decided to walk out. Took it to LES SCHWABS. read more

Super nice people there, the work was done quickly and they even let me know I needed my rotors replaced which was a fast process too. Any issues or concerns I had were taken care of promptly. Definitely coming back whenever I need work done. read more

The only reason I considered this location was that I was due for a free service and that it was only a 5 min drive from my house. Even with both of those factors, I could not get past the questionable reviews on here or the lack of customer service that I received in person. I came in as a referral from Americas Tires in Riverside (off Merrill Ave) for a complementary service to replace a broken/missing lug nut stud off my front passenger tire. I had called the week prior to schedule a visit--due to my hectic work schedule--but was told to just come by for the hour long service. My interaction with however was on the phone seemed short, but I just disregarded it as the shop being busy. I arrived about 15 minutes prior to opening and waited for someone to open the shop. Once inside, I greeted the employee and tried to make small talk, but received minimal responses--I get it, it's early and sometimes I can barely function without food/coffee first thing in the morning. I disregarded this as well. After explaining my situation to the employee, he seemed hesitant to accept the service at no cost, but begrudgingly told me that it would be at least an hour long service--not a problem, since I took time off work to come in. Since I was the only customer in the shop, I figured that the work would be started right away. I noticed two more employees come in the shop, in addition to the employee already at the counter--that's one of three people who could be working on my car by now. At about 30 minutes into my visit I still notice no one has moved my car from the parking lot. I now approach the employee at the counter to check on the status and receive another shorthanded response--strike three. I said thank you but I will be going elsewhere. I understand that if you're performing a free service you may be less than enthusiastic. However, there are a ton of auto shops in the area with great reviews that you are competing with--I could name a few that I have bookmarked but that would just be petty. I truly was hoping for this Brake Masters location to win my future business. Nothing from my experience at this shop or its employees seemed welcoming. I have opted to call Brake Masters in Fontana to schedule a visit. I'd rather make the drive to a shop with a better reputation. read more

i went here after going to my cars dealership, was told something else was wrong with my car and the amount i was going to pay for my repair was ridiculous. i decided to pick my car up where they charged me $$ for a diagnosis whatever, i called here they charged me way less than what the other place was going to charge me for the exact same repair. the worker adrian was very helpful, and listened to our concerns, also followed up with us about what exactly was wrong with my car. they showed me my brakes and they were completely worn out unlike my other brakes that the other place had told me that i needed to replace. overall, this place did me so well, had my car in and out, changed my brakes, drums, and did a brake fluid exchange in under 2 hours. highly recommend. read more

They didnt even know what the problem was. My advice to you is go to a REAL AUTO BODY SHOP. I came here 3 times within a week and a half. I dont know if its because I am a female and they like to take advantage or what. Cost me 500 dollars for new brakes and they said it was the MASTER CYLINDER. Too bad it didnt work and I almost ran a stop light with my FRIEND IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I had to step on my brakes over 5 times. It felt like I was stepping on a deflated balloon. I almost had a heart attack. They did not fix the problem. The guys are rude and cold. No customer service. I'd stay away if your a female, they seem to favor penis. Needless to say I would never come here again. read more

Latest update- I was forced to get a rental and send my car to the dealership to diagnose my vibration problem after brake masters replaced my rotors. They didn't do any work to my car after so there was no reason to act childish as they did but after the dealership said that my car had the wrong rotors on it they got pissed at me. I actually was made to sign a paper releasing them from liability after they replaced my rotors with OEM parts that is what they took off my car. Customer service was helpful but the company wasn't. I had to fight and spend money out of my pocket to make them fix what they messed up and tried to get out of fixing. Basically they didn't want to use OEM parts on my cars they wanted to use cheap China crap and got mad when they realized I had proof what they done. BRAKEMASTERS are CROOKMASTERS read more

This place tried to scam us. Seriously the worst. Went for brakes and were told we needed new rotors and struts for over $2000. Got the brake and pads replaced for under $300. Beyond terrible! read more

Be very weary of you go here. Better yet, just don't. I went in to have some work done on my car which I believe to have been done correctly at least. When I returned to my car however, the seatbelt was broken. It had been pulled all the way out and was no longer retracting. When I asked about it they said they didn't know anything about it and that it was already like that which was absolutely NOT the case. After paying $1,000 for the work to be done, you'd think they least they could do is. It low to me about something that they broke while it was on their hands. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else, so DONT GO HERE! read more

I was very happy with this place. As a girl I feel like auto places love to try to shake more money out of you with fear that your car wont make it back home unless you pay $$$$ to fix the whatchamacallit. I went in let them know I was there for an oil change, and gave them my coupon. They let me know that it would be just a bit more since I have an SUV, a bit more being $5, not $30. In less than an hour they got me going and they didn't come at me with a list of problems that my car has and that I should get fixed. They were friendly and even changed the channel in the waiting area for a customer when she asked. I will definitely be coming here again and recommend it to my friends and family. Don't ever go here if I can give this place a zero stars I would I went and got my back breaks done, and some other things, walked out paying 483, Sergio the manager notified me whoever checked/ looked at my breaks put the lugs on to "tight" roughly two weeks later 4/5 of my lugs flew off of my front passenger tire, towed my car to a local tire shop, they said whoever did my breaks did not tighten my lugs correctly and my studs all broke, went to talk to manager (Sergio) and he was laughing in my face saying his people know what there doing shitty customer service DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. read more

Got to give these guys kuddos for jumping in and saving my day! Have 2005 Dodge Ram rear brakes were starting to make some noise. Tried ever where I possinle could to get this looked at but nobody gave me the time. They pulled all 4 wheels and showed me all my pads and rotors. Rear pads had been neglected last couple brake jobs. Rotor was getting a little start of damage. Front pads were worn but still had many miles on them. I drive a great many miles each day. I opted for a complete brake job. Very reasonably priced and competitive to past brake jobs I'd had else where. I opted for a pad upgrade and glad I did!! I have to give a 5-star review because it was absolutely earned. Sergio is the man. As opposed to waiting for my car, they offered to send me by Uber to the local mall so I could kill two birds with one stone while my car was getting a four-wheel brake service. I really appreciate the extra effort and high level of courtesy and professionalism. Five stars all the way! Great job Brake Masters and especially Manager Sergio! read more

The mechanic at Nissan Service let me know that my car needs the front lower control arm replacement and it costs $1300.00. I called Brake Masters in Riverside to inquire the cost and Adrien gave me an estimate around $600.00. This afternoon I brought my car to Brake Masters. After the inspection Adrien told me that the front lower control arm was fine but the motor mount was the one that needed replacement. The cost to have it replaced was $188.00, minus the $25.00 coupon. The repair was finished less than one hour. Thank you Adrien for your honesty. You will have me your customer from now on. read more

Told me it would take 1.5 hours if I brought it in at 7:30am after an hour and the only car there I was told it would take another 1.5 hours. After I told them I can't wait that long and was told it would take 1 to 1.5 hrs they got very rude with me. Tried to seal me new rotors, I had just replaced them a year ago they are not bad, checked them. Would not take a $10 off coupon and got rude and hostle when I asked why, the reson I was givin was they gave me $50 off which is the advertised price. So nothing. After I told them I can't wait 3 hours and was told it would take 1 to 1.5 hrs, again the worker got very rude. I asked why it would take 3 hours to change breaks and what have they did in the past hour I got no answer, he just walked away. Will never go back and do not recommend. read more

I went and replaced tires from American tires and they gave me a coupon and recommended to go to this place. First, they found additional $800 for brake jobs and even the alignment coupon didn't apply since my car was a high end car.
