I went today to get my brakes assessed due to squeaking that was getting worse by the hour every time I braked. I have a job where I literally drive all over the Valley everyday and couldn't allow this to go on any longer. I have friends who recommends a couple other places but neither worked out. I decided to try Brake Masters after reading quite a few reviews about them not taking advantage of people. Well, I made the appt and within 2 hrs (From start of appt to brake pads changed) I was out the door and spent significantly less then I anticipated! I'm incredibly happy with their service and both the front desk employee and the mechanic were professional and never did I feel taken advantage of or any attempt by either to upsell. The man working at the front (I can't believe i didn't get his name!) said that he was retired but works 1-2 days per week at this location after working there from when they opened in the 90's. There was an older lady who came in due to car troubles and he treated her so kindly. She seemed overwhelmed and frazzled and he was so warm. I overheard that her husband was his customer for over 20 years and just passed away last month. I heard him speaking on the phone with customers and he was just kind. Anyways, I sent my friend the work order receipt and he was surprised at how affordable this was. He understands cars and was the one who was sure that it was worn out brake pads. I'm very happy and recommend this location! read more

This was the best service experience in a long time. The dealership told us we needed brakes all the way around and the brake flush. Not true. The front and back brakes are WELL within the GOOD status! We did get the brake flush done and likely will continue maintenance with Brake Masters #139. The manager, Greg and staff are honest, friendly and efficient. read more

Brandon was AMAZING!! He gave us a free analysis of what we thought was wrong (bad starter). Then called us with results, gave us a great estimate for repair of the starter, he also checked our battery to be sure that it wasn't the issue!! Got our car back to us within 4 hours, on Saturday!!!! I've been twice before and we always get phenomenal service!! I highly recommend! I'd give 10 stars if I could!!! The value was great for what we needed!! read more

They change my air filter without my consent. It was brand new and didn't need it. When I complained a manager was supposed to contact me. They never did. Dishonest and no follow-through. Lost a customer of a decade over 80 buck. read more

This used to be my store for the longest. 15plus years New manager and the staff are there to take advantage of you! Tbh, try another brake masters. Left a sour taste. Back on August 5 we had the gaskets to the transmission and rear differential replaced and the fluid replaced. That rear differential gasket did not line up properly and I found about one ounce of fresh fluid on the garage floor Wednesday. Called Brake Masters, they said to get it in. We did. They took care of it -- NO CHARGE. That is why I've been going there for almost 10 years now. When they like my wife's Jeep so much that they want first chance if we sell it, I feel happy taking it to them. read more

Long Appointments Made an oil change appointment and still waited 40 minutes until my car was even looked at. Total time for an oil change was 1 hour 20 minutes. When I left the change oil soon sign was still on and then changed to change oil now. I checked the dip stick cold and there wasn't even enough oil to check the dip stick. After taking it back in, the manager, didn't know even apologize and told me I was supposed to check the dip stick hot (Obviously not a car mechanic , but all research on google telling me cold is the way to go.) they preceded to tell me that nothing was wrong with it. I been going here since Jerry was the manager for the past 5 years. Won't be coming back again. read more

New review: Had to take my car back since they replaced the compression and put in a new ac kit. I had taken it in because every time I would turn the car on it it would make a screeching noise. So I took it in, the noise stopped, but the ac wasn't blowing cold. They claimed that it would after a few days. A few days past and we are over 100 degree weather and it is still not blowing cold air like it did before I took it in. I took it back today and the GM even came out and tried to say that I had brought it in before because the ac wasn't working and it was said in a defensive way. I don't like it when people lie especially after I had paid you for a service and expected the car to be back to how it was without the noise. They then came back 2 hours later saying it was trapped moisture and that is why it wasn't blowing cold.... thank you for fixing it, but the way you came about the whole situation was wrong. A lot of places are not caring about customer service anymore and it's a shame... Old review: I don't think 5 starts is enough for this place. I always take my car here to get fixed and I just recently took it yesterday short notice. They ended up putting in a new radiator and having it ready before the closed on a busy day. Any time I have an issue, I can count on them to fix it and be honest. Thank you guys! I appreic read more

I have been coming to this location for oil changes on my vehicle for over 10 years, an always had good experiences. Last Thursday I went in for an oil change. All seemed normal, until two days ago. While running some errands, my check engine light in my car came on and started blinking. For my car this indicates an urgent matter. I took it to a trusted mechanic who ran diagnostics, only to discover my car was an entire quart low on oil. He found no leaks, meaning that at my oil change, not enough oil was put back into my car. Thankfully I went and had it checked immediately before it caused too much damage. Needless to say, I will no longer be using Brake masters for any of my vehicle needs. read more

Been going there for years and would love to continue going there for service. But, I won't be back as long as the lady in the service center is there. I think she's the manager or something. Sat at desk in service center. First bad visit in over 6 years. I'll be back when she's gone. Horrible service by her. She should stay away from talking to customers. I was going to get a bunch of the service guys recommendations done, then she started talking. Went from over $800 in repairs to a $30 oil change. If the owner is reading this. She owes you money. read more

I have been coming to this brake master's for years and have brought various vehicles, from high end BMWs to pickup trucks, classics and hybrids. I know when I come here I will always be taken care of. We usually have worked with George who has been here a long time and is an automotive wizard! I have watched him fix things that other mechanics didn't know what to do for or wanted to charge huge amounts of $$$ for in a matter of minutes at a very low cost. I always know George will take good care of us and our vehicles. Again, even on high end expensive vehicles, hybrids, exotics, etc I know they will do a top notch job. Anytime I have questions on work they did or something my vehicle is doing they are always happy to talk about it and problem solve it in any way they can. Do not think of this place as a franchise chain "brake masters," think of it as a fantastic, skilled crew of local mechanics who know their stuff and take care of their community. A+++ highly recommended. read more

Hands-down one of the worst shops corporate/franchise shops that I have seen working conditions are horrible no swamp coolers no air-conditioning for the employees and on top of all of that supply and demand is also horrible never received the right parts takes several hours for parts to arrive management does not care of your working conditions or how you feel or what your obligation is to take one day off sick pay says it's included but you'll never see one single hour of it and just to put frosting on the cake don't expect any promises from your manager management area managers everything is a lie . Only management has the obligation to give four hours and full pay to primary workers leaving other employees in the gray or outliers making it very hard to receive income for your own family just because management Is favoring certain employees over others. And if you have a problem with that don't worry employees will just push you out of the shop until you either quit or management find some ridiculous reason to fire your ass. Nonetheless technicians don't give a shit about your car or what morals people actually have in this world you're just another receipt at the end of the day read more

My hubby and I have been a long term and loyal customer. We were due for oil change on 2 vehicles and called ahead for availability times and the manager mentioned no wait time and we are just a few minutes away so brought it in around 9:25-9:30am. The new manger/advisor Rudolph Schroeder who's only been there couple months but apparently has many years of experience under his belt filled out one of the invoices incorrectly despite providing him with the information multiple times over and over and over again repeatedly he was giving pushback and didn't have a clue of what he was doing and he just wasn't listening or hearing and was answering the phone in between and helping another customer that came in well after after us about a battery replacement on their navy colour Mercedes instead of focusing on us and finishing up. It was so frustrating, upsetting and sooo time consuming that my hubby just ended up filling out the top portion of the invoice because he was argumentative and was wasting time and didn't have an understanding of anything. We waited for over an 1 hour 30 min then he recommended cooling system flush and confirmed that it shouldn't take any longer than 1 hour to 1 hour 15 min maximum so just to be on the safe side because of how he and the new crew was working was very slow and not attentive so we came back after over 2 hours and it was still not ready and they were still working on the car. He had no courtesy to either call any of our phone numbers or text us and wasted our time again and just careless. I am very upset with his lack of knowledge, unprofessionalism, upsetting and frustrating experience and terrible customer experience and will not be returning and take my business elsewhere and will let others know to avoid the embarrassment and waste of time. He definitely needs coaching and training on customer service and how not to be bias against customers that are not American read more

I've been working hard on restoring my truck so that my soon to be 16 year old son can have a safe vehicle to drive. The brakes had a very slushy feel after I bled the brakes. I bought a new master cylinder and then realized I was in over my head with regards to bench bleeding and installing the unit. I called a few shops and Greg gave me a fair estimate to complete the job. They were friendly, and understood the specifics of my request. After installing the master cylinder they called to have me take a look at the rear cylinders. They were completely blown. They again were very professional, explained what I needed to get the job done whether I did it myself or if they did it for me. I chose to have them do it, as it would save me countless hours of watching YouTube videos on how to do it myself. I watched for a few minutes as Brian expertly removed the parts, cleaned everything and put it all back together. The price was right where I expected it to be. I rarely witness customer exerience like this, and have to say I'm more than impressed. I'd recommend this shop to all my friends and family. read more

The experience was pleasant but I took my car to my mechanic a week or two later to get my brakes replaced. They told me that I was about a quart low on oil which is disappointing. It's a hassle to go back and ask them to fill it completely. read more

$31.61 after tax for a basic oil change (I think up to 5 qts). Really quick service - in and out in about 25 minutes. They noticed that my friend's headlight was out and offered to fix it for $19.99 parts & labor...and also offered the advice that it was cheaper than a $40 ticket. I asked them how much they were charging for the bulb itself but they just repeated $19.99 parts and labor. I totally understand though because when you bring your car to a mechanic you're paying them for the know-how and not just the parts. However, I know how to change a bulb so I declined their offer and just went to Autozone and bought a bulb for $11. That said, I quickly learned that trying to change a headlight bulb under the hot AZ sun w/ my glasses slipping and getting grease all over my hands wasn't the best of ideas... so we went back to the house and I changed into my contacts, let the engine cool down a little and then replaced the bulb in about a minute. If you mind getting dirty, can't use youtube or the car's manual and aren't by an auto parts store then perhaps the $9 service charge is right for you. Otherwise, come here for the quick oil change and save yourself some money by changing the bulb yourself. Also, my friend didn't have a coupon but apparently they have/may send out coupons to the local area so check for their coupons when you bring your car in. I gave them 4 stars because of the efficiency and because they seemed to be genuinely nice. They also have a nice air conditioned lounge, with a water dispenser, coffee, tv, and magazines for their patrons to sit and relax while waiting. read more

I hate mechanic shops. I'm the son of a dealership service manager. I know what needs to be done and how to do it right. I usually do work myself for the above reasons but was feeling lazy. This was the 3rd shop I talked to. They did a job for for $250 less than the next cheapest quote. No song and dance. You will get charged fair price for parts and while the labor per hour isn't cheap, it is in line with the area average. read more

A year ago, I would have given them 5 stars easily. I go there exclusively for all work on my truck. They're real close to my office and they've always done a great job. I really like how I take my truck in for an oil change and they check everything, call me and say "we've noticed these 3 things that need done but if it were me, I'd only do this 1 thing now". But in the last year, it took them 3 tries and almost $1000 to fix an oil leak. Last month, my skid plate fell off while driving a few days after they did an oil change. And today, I spent 3 hours and over $300 and my AC isn't any better than it was when I took it in. It's so frustrating because it's really convenient and the first 3 years were so good. Maybe I should go to them for just brakes? read more
