I did an internet search, and saw that Miami Optical was close and had good reviews. I met Ross, who was very nice, very straightforward. He said he'd do what he could, but the glasses were pretty damaged. I was so pleased by how well he was able to work them back into usable shape. When I asked him how much it was, he shook it off. I even asked if I could leave a review for him, and he said don't bother, it's not a big deal. Very good people, I recommend going to this store.

Unfortunately I never out grew my insecurities so for as long as I can remember I always wanted to get breast augmentation. I just wanted to feel more proportionate and be able to buy the clothes I liked but never could because I couldn't "fill them out." Even though I always wanted to get breast enhancement surgery there was always a reason for me not to. At first it was financial then it became fear. I have a very low pain tolerance so I just knew surgery like this was going to be super painful. Plus I have a history of keloids (abnormal scar tissue growth). I was doomed to be uncomfortable with my body forever. Finally after the zillionth conversation about my (lack of) breasts my husband suggested we go talk to someone. What could it hurt? I spent the next few weeks researching the different types of implants and doctors in the Chicago area. I had a few doctor recommendations from friends of friends but none of them passed my initial review. If I was going to have anyone cutting on me I wanted the best - board certified, great results, and good patient reviews. Dr. Cook was at the top my list so I called his Chicago office to see if I could get some more information. The receptionist had someone call me back within an hour to answer my questions. After about 15 minutes she recommended I come in and meet Dr. Cook and get a consultation. Unlike other surgeons, Dr. Cook charged a consultation fee ($150 I think) but that amount would be added to the total cost if I decided to go through with the procedure. We were able to schedule an appointment a couple weeks later. When I arrived the staff was so friendly. They immediately made me feel comfortable and eased my nerves. As soon as I met Dr. Cook I knew he was the person for me. He listened to all my concerns, answered my questions and assured me that I wouldn't end up with big breasts that looked like 2 beach balls glued to my chest. He recommended a size that fit my body shape which also happened to be the size I always envisioned myself (he's probably a mind reader as well as a surgeon). They gave me time to think about it without any pressure and even offered to let me come back and try on the different sizes (which I took them up on the offer). The surgery was out-patient in a really nice surgery center in the back of the 900 N. Michigan shops. The staff there was also very friendly and tried to make me comfortable but I was terribly nervous. Honestly, I considered, for a split second, on leaving. The nurse had a hard time getting my IV in so she was starting to get a little anxious which was making me anxious. As soon as Dr. Cook entered the room he had this smile on his face and a calm about him that made me feel instantly at ease. I don't know about you but that's exactly how I want anyone operating on me to be like. The surgery itself went smoothly. They had me up and out of bed within a few hours. For the next 3 days I did nothing but sleep. The pain meds didn't sit well with my stomach but it didn't matter because I didn't feel like I needed the really strong ones. There wasn't a lot of pain (remember, my pain tolerance is extremely low). I was more sore than in pain. It almost felt like I did 500 push-ups. The worse part about recovery was not being able to sleep on my side for a few weeks. Now that I'm a few months post-op I should probably tell you about my results....AMAZING! I absolutely love them. I can't believe I waited so long to do it! My new size fits my body so well that people barely notice anything is amiss (no beach balls glued to my chest for me). The best compliment I have received so far was from the lady at Victoria's Secret who was fitting me for my first new bras. She didn't believe me when I told her I had just gotten implants. She said (no joke), "I look at boobs all day and I can always tell the real ones from fake but yours are so natural." Worth every penny!

I was not a good patient when it came to going to the dentist. I in fact, would not go every 6 months as you're supposed to. I put it off and put it off. Eventually, my wife threatened to stop kissing me if I didn't go - I didn't have a funk or anything, she just didn't want it to get to one. Dr. Fishman is a fantastic guy - he is truly an artist at his craft, which shows in his true love for what he does. He's extremely focused on you - the patient. He does everything he can to make you comfortable; whether it be going slower, doing multiple appointments, giving you more numbing agent. He also will play whatever radio station you choose - Internet radio - so pick a genre and he'll play it. He'll even let you throw in a DVD if you want to watch that while he's working away. His offices are absolutely gorgeous - great view of Water Tower and the Hancock. He also covers parking in the building for patients. If you have a fear, loathing, etc for dentists - this is the place to go. If you are fine with dentists, but your dentists is just "eh" in your mind, this is the place for you too! :)

Its a nice gesture to post a response to my review and post your contact info. A sincere genuine apology in person would have been better. I understand that an apology would be a liability, so that was never offered. As one human to another, the depth of this warranted far better than I received in my opinion. We all make mistakes but to atone it is to own it. You have no record of a patient with nerve damage while in your care just confirms what I already stated, certain information was not put in my dental file once the injury occurred. I had great insurance at the time and I was told I had to pay by check or credit card and bill my ins later, which I did. Of course I can't share all the details on yelp, but; I live with the aftermath of what occurred and I'm sharing my firsthand account on this.
