Cannot say enough positive about my experience with Strathmore! First, let's start with the…read moreinitial call. I had worked with another HVAC company to help diagnose the issue but unfortunately, they were short-staffed and couldn't come out. I called first thing in the morning on Friday morning. I told the man on the phone what I thought was the issue and surprisingly, he told me that he could have someone out to my house the same day within hours. Only 2 hours later (right when he said he would arrive), our technician arrived. He was very courteous and explained the issue and what needed to be done after he quickly confirmed the diagnosis that the blower motor on our HVAC would need to be replaced. Now, my friend who was an HVAC tech told me that a capacitor replacement would be the easiest to replace but a motor would take 2-4 weeks to replace because of supply chain issues. Surprisingly, the technician told me that he would order the parts and have them overnighted. The parts were in stock from his supplier and they arrived on Friday. First thing on Monday morning (they're understandably closed on Sundays) I received a call that the part had arrived and he would be over within hours to come and install them. Again, he arrived prompt and on time. He ordered an additional part for the blower just in case it was also damaged (which it was) and he ended up installing the new motor and fan and capacitor by 11am on Monday. The price was very reasonable and there were no surprises there. It was an absolute pleasure working with Strathmore and I highly recommend them for your HVAC repairs.

Within a couple of months the drip pan for the air conditioner over flowed and caused water damage in the basement. Terrible experience. I have two Zoom AC units. MCAir…read morereplaced my 25-year-old attic unit, while I kept the older unit in the basement. Two years after the new installation, the attic unit couldn't cool properly during the summer. MCAir came out but couldn't find any issues. They blamed it on the hot weather (over 90°F) and said my thermostat was set too low (73°F). A year later, the cooling performance got even worse--this time when the temperature was only in the high 80s. By then, the warranty had expired by just a few months. They charged me $100 for an inspection and only cleaned the outdoor fan. This year, it's even worse. The unit can't cool at all--even when it's just 85°F outside. I called PSE&G for an inspection, and they told me the AC might have a refrigerant leak and that I should contact the installer about the warranty. So I called MCAir again--and now they want $180 just for the inspection, plus additional charges for any repairs. Why would I trust them at this point? Ironically, my 29-year-old basement AC unit is still working just fine.

I'm glad I got the company's phone number from my neighbors back then and saved it, because this summer our old a/c unit gave out after decades of faithful operation. One call to Benson at MCAir was all it took for him to come right over that day for a free estimate. Benson showed us pictures of a few different units that would be appropriate for our home and the features and cost of each. We mulled over our options for a couple days, then called him back on Friday and said we'd like the new a/c put in ASAP. He said he was available in two days, on a Sunday a.m.! A crew of 5 worked all Sunday morning and did a fantastic, professional, and thorough job installing the a/c. They were polite and pleasant, and cleaned up everything perfectly when they completed the job. We are so comfortable and cool at home with this new a/c unit! I am giving Benson and everyone at MCAir 5 stars and my highest recommendation!

They put down tarps and the area was left cleaner than when they got here! And it works. Great! I'd recommend Davis to anyone who needs to have HVAC work performed!
