Love Bradley's burgers, thought they're very expensive. They are 1/2 lb burgers, and dang they're good. They always ask what temp to cook the burger, and that's just what I like. Unfortunately it depends on the cook so the burgers can sometimes be a little more done than preferred if you like a medium burger. Any temp you get it, theyre always juicy and seasoned well. Another major plus is hand cut fries!!!! This is the only place in town that I know of who does hand cut fries. They are so so good. My husband gets sweet potato fries and I've heard great things about the okra but you cannot separate me from those hand cut fries. I have chosen not to return to places just based on the fact that they use frozen fries. I've heard rave reviews about their chicken wings (so much so I can't get them to try the burger lol). The staff is always nice. I call my order in so it does take anywhere from 15-30 mins to prepare, and I love knowing my order is actually fresh and not pre-cooked and reheated. Is the burger pretty expensive? Yes, but I'll be honest... if you were to try to find an equivalent burger, a double cheese burger meal at Culver's will cost you the same and you're not getting as much burger AND it's not a local joint. read more

I rarely rate anything under 3 stars, but wow. The floors were dirty even though we got there right when they opened. We did get service quickly; almost too quickly. We ordered mozzarella sticks and they came out in 2 min with pre packaged marinara and no cheese pull. Pretty bad. I decided to change my main order to something much safer than what I was going to order, because my expectations changed. I ordered a BLT and it was pretty good; hard to mess up. The fries were interesting but not very crispy. They were ok. My husband ordered wings and one of the flavors was Cajun. They came out just hot wings; there was no Cajun to be seen. They were very offended by this stating; "that's how we do our Cajun". They did throw him down 10 more wings and did a different flavor. Saw on the web sight they had potato and a smoked ghouda tomato soup. My girlfriend and I went in. We each ordered one. I had the potato soup- it was nothing more than a bowl of thin mashed potatoes. No creaminess, chunks of potatoes or seasoning-- just runny mashed potatoes, my friend had the tomato soup and there was no smoked ghouda flavor- just a bit of seasoning to canned tomato soup. My brother and I ate the best Ruben sandwiches we've ever eaten today. The sauerkraut was finely shredded and perfectly seasoned. The meat was chopped into small, manageable pieces and the accouterments were great. No one element of the sandwiches over powered the other. The service was outstanding and refills came quickly. Once again service was very poor. We waited 20 minutes at a table and no one came by. Tried to wave down a waitress with no success. After 25 minutes we then left. This was the second time servers ignored us or didn't follow up on drinks in favor of what I presume were were more "regular customers" or their friends. Service was terrible, our appetizer was forgotten and there was only one other table in the restaurant at the time. There was no reason for the lousy service. Burgers tasted like they were cooked on a dirty grill and didn't even have all the condiments that were advertised. 5 of us ate there and 3 of us felt sick for hours afterwards. We were in town for first Friday and stopped in around 630pm to get a drink and a burger, instead of eating at the food trucks. We had two small kids with us so we wanted to eat and get back out to the festivities! After being told multiple times our food was coming and seeing other tables a get food that came in after we did. @ 10pm I told the waitress to cancel the order she then proclaimed that the order was coming out right then. And got mad at us for wanting to leave. I understand being busy but This is ridiculous to have a 4yr go this long without eating because y'all wanted to accompany your regular customers! Beautiful and historic building use to be a jail. Everyone is friendly and the food very good. I like the get the shrimp. This is a picturesque spot to clear your head and enjoy a cold beer. Also, a great place for a family dinner. There is no smoking inside, but across the way is a bar called Goat Island where you can. That is also a good place to go. read more

Omg so good! I had the philly cheese steak wrap, so much better than on a hoagie thanks to our server Ashley who recommended it. She was awesome btw! Ask for her and you will get great service! My honey had the"commissioner" chili cheese burger 1/3lb and wished he'd gone for the half pounder he liked it so much! He had fried okra (yummy) but I went for the onion rings (even better!) great atmosphere great service and a great dining experience. Will definitely be back! I've eaten here before and it was ok. This time however it was awful. I ordered the steak , came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Waiting over an hour I really looking forward to dinner. The steak came out almost raw, not med. the potatoes we were instant and had not flavor. The vegetables were from a frozen bag and a pile of much. Gross! My dinner date had a Reuben, it was a flat sandwich with little meat and quality you would expect from a bad diner. I only took steak home and cooked it myself, it was ok. Shamnon was a breath of fresh air as was this restaurant!!! This was our first time and I was unprepared, not a smoke on me, because you can smoke inside and Shannon was nice enough to give me a square The food was unbelievably fresh and not what we were expecting at all today. The hotdog was out of this world as it tastes fresh off a grill with a nice toasted bun. All of the burgers looked delicious but the wife had The Judge which was incredible!!! Finished off two draft beers and an hour passed but never received food even though we watched FAMILIES get their food, eat AND leave. All we ordered was 12 wings and fries. There are really only two reasons I would write a review on Yelp. The first is to tell people about an unpleasant experience I have had to serve as a warning to unsuspecting consumers. The other is to let people know about an exceptionally pleasant experience I have had so that they might enjoy it also. I am glad to say that this review (unlike most of my other reviews) falls in the latter category. Bradley's Olde Tavern is a new and very welcome addition to the Jackson dining scene. Located in a historic building right on the square, the décor is reminiscent of an old-fashioned speakeasy from the early 20th century. There is a massive bar running the length of the building that appears to be a genuine artifact from the past, and the tin ceiling has to be seen to be believed. Overall, a much more sophisticated ambiance than we are accustomed to seeing around here. The staff is young, friendly, and efficient, and the menu was refreshingly streamlined compared to so many other places that seem to think that they can be all things to all people. The focus is on hamburgers, with chicken wings, hot dogs, quesadillas, and "the usual suspects" of appetizers rounding out the offerings. You won't find haute cuisine here. Rather, the management has wisely decided to stick to a few simple things that they can do well, and the result is that they have done those things very well. Bradley's opened its doors a short three weeks prior to my visit, so there were some kinks in the dining room and kitchen, as would be expected. A conversation with the owner left me satisfied that he is genuinely committed to providing the best dining experience available in the area, and among the things he is hoping to offer are trivia contests, karaoke, and live music. Went in and sat at an open spot at the bar around 8:00. We sat there for 7-8 minutes and did not get waited on. So we moved to the center of the bar and sat at spots that had dirty dishes. (Thinking the staff would stop talking and move them, get us a drink) Nope! we sat there for another 7/8 minutes watching the staff talk amongst one another. We finally just got up and left.
