Beautiful crab apples, even!
Averyl H.

Brackett's pick-you-own apples is our new favorite orchard! It's very large with exceptionally beautiful views, loads of loaded trees with many varieties of apples and it's very tranquil. The little store where you pay was made from recycled materials and is as charming as can be. They have a fun crab apple slingshot, too! The owner is on hand and super friendly. There is a clean bathroom. The apples are delicious and very fairly priced at $16 for a peck. Hard to believe we've overlooked this gem over the years on our way to a neighboring orchard (that now charges $22 a peck!) when this is the place for us. They do have a cute little train but not this year because of Covid. We'll be regulars here!

My husband and I brought our boys to two orchards today. One of them was this one. We didn't know their exact hours, and found out when we got there they were closing. Even though it was like 2 minutes until close they still let us pick some apples. One of the men sang them a song with his guitar, then took them on a train ride through the orchard. Which I thought was amazing, considering it was already 5pm (their closing time), and they totally could've told us to beat it. The view here is also amazing. We couldn't stop taking pictures of the gorgeous scenery. Definitely don't pass this place up. The people here are pretty nice, and the whole area is just gorgeous. You really can't beat the view.

Eldridge Family Sugar House & Ice Cream Shoppe - Small maple soft serve with waffle cone

They take part in the yearly maple event in the early spring where maple is demonstrated how it is acquired and collected. The shop is small and in the back you can find the collection tubes and lines where maple is collected during season. They have parking and offer a portapotty outside by the parking lot. They sell touristic items and local items. They had maple in stock, I was able to get dark maple! My favorite for coffees and teas. For a treat, I ordered the Dessert for breakfast which is served at the 12pm. This shop also opens earlier to offer cafe items like pastries, sandwiches and coffees. My treat had toppings of honey crunch cereal, maple drizzle, maple ice cream and the cone was a waffle puff. It was pretty and SWEET! Very large and my partner and I shared it! He ordered a small maple cone, and it was also very tall and enough for the two of us! I do aim to try to attend the maple season collection tour in the early spring! Will stop by again for the cafe items next trip!

Rating: 4.5 Came to…read morestop by for some maple soft serve. It's a small shop located in Tamworth NH. After passing through scenic road we arrived and parked at their parking lot. The ice cream shop is located outside and inside is a small gift shop with some offerings such as NH maple syrups, candies, and gifts. They also offer some drinks and sandwiches and pastries. I decided to get a small ice-cream with waffle cone and my partner got the breakfast for desert. I was surprised how big the small maple soft serve was. Maple soft serve was sweet and creamy with full of maple flavor. The breakfast for desert is a pufflecone (bubble waffle shaped into cone) with maple soft serve, cinnamon toast crunch and drizzle of maple syrup. Cinnamon toast crunch adds a crunchy texture on too of sweet and creamy soft serve. The pufflecone paired well with the soft serve. The deserts were delightful and we were stuffed and maybe slightly guilty for having so much desert. I probably have been ok with sharing one small maple soft serve with two people. Service was quick, good and staff were nice. Overall I enjoyed the visit and would return if I'm around the area. We were too stuffed to try their sandwich but I may try it next time I visit. There were some interesting maple themed sandwiches

You want apples. And cider…read more Maybe some donuts. And a family-friendly space. Or maybe you want blueberries. And a mimosa. Maybe some peaches. And an orchard big enough that you won't be on top of other families. Regardless of what you're looking for, Libby & Sons - year after year named ONE OF THE BEST ORCHARDS IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY (literally, friends) - has everything you could want from a PYO experience. The corts and macs are always crisp and delicious; the blueberry options are lovely whether you want sweet or tart; the juicy donut peaches are unlike anything I've ever had anywhere (#TeamTangO)... in general, the picking is abundant and plentiful year after year after year. And they do a fantastic job daily updating their website with what's in season, out of season, picked out for the season, pricing structure (it makes sense if you know how hard they tried to stay open during the pandemic/the cost of growing quality and environmentally conscious fruits), etc. The views of the surrounding countryside are breathtaking. The glazed blueberry donuts are the best blueberry donuts I've ever had from anywhere ever. And the people who work here are absolutely the friendliest human beings on earth and genuinely remember you year after year. They make you feel like a welcome part of their family, and I love that (especially in a more automated, less personalized society). If you ever get the chance to talk to the owner about the science of apples (pomology) or the history and future of their personal agricultural story, you absolutely should. I am a more educated, more loyal customer of theirs now because of it!

Wonderful fall drive to Limerick to Libbys farm for fall festivities…read more They had a live band playing, ballon artist for kids, food trucks and yummy beverage truck with beers, seltzers, mimosas and amazing apple cider wine slushies. Inside they sell the traditional apple farm goodies- caramel apples, popcorn, fruit flavored smoothies, coffees, apple cider slushies (which i had previously only had at cold hollow cider in Vermont), lots of donut flavors including the traditional apple cider but blueberry, pumpkin, chocolate, strawberry/blueberry swirl AND option to add glaze or cinnamon sugar to them and some flavors you could add cream cheese frosting. Mega yum. 1/2 dozen was $8.99 or $2.49 each. They also have cider to bring home and some maple farm goodies. Lots of outdoor seating available, some covered. Parking is free and an overflow lot exists (short walk) or golf cart shuttle available. There are golf cart vehicles that can carry you to the area you want to pick whether apples or blueberries in fall. You can walk as well. They give you the scoop on the varieties, what's running low, and what a few unmarked ones are. I loved that the apple trees were pruned lower and compact so easy to pick. They had a stool if you needed, but we didnt need. We got the smallest bag to fill up 1/2 peck around 5 lbs they said ($15) ours weighed 6 lbs at home. I counted 19 apples...we tried to get a little smaller not mega huge. Not a bad deal. The fall foliage was stunning, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Dogs are not allowed on the premises.
