I wish I could say that it was an honest mistake on your part; however, this is typical of the customer service I've come to expect from DB Homes. We have called your Johnstown, PA office numerous times with the same excuse given to us from the receptionist..."Chad and Keith are both busy right now. I can give them a message you called." Weeks would go by without a callback or a response to our email. We continued to try to contact Chad or Keith for information regarding the $300,000+ house we wanted to build with DB Homes. We had two property owners waiting for our word to sell us their properties. We told them for weeks that we were waiting to hear from DB Homes regarding questions we had about our estimate. We never heard back from Chad or Keith. It is with sincere sorrow and deep disappointment that we have to inform you we are no longer interested in any type of business with DB Homes. Our experience with your company has been nothing but a disappointment and frankly pathetic experience with a sales team that is far too busy for our business. We have posted our review on Yelp. We have informed everyone we know to never use DB Homes.

VERY professional. DB is the 3rd place we've gone to this year for a price quote on 2 homes…read morew/garages. Everyone wants to order their house asap - but DB knows (through experience) how people can change their mind about what they THINK they want -vs- what they REALLY want in their home. So DB does not rush through the ordering process, which saves a lot of headaches down the road once construction has started. After we meet with them, our price quotes come within a week - then we review the quote and make any necessary changes, then schedule an appointment with them to make those changes (or we can email it to them). Then we get our new quote in a week. (and there's no mistakes - everything we said we wanted was quoted accurately!). The 1st place we went to - they were NOT professional - took forever to get our quotes and when we did there were TONS of mistakes even though I gave them paper copies, photos, and emails of what we needed to order, then it took over a month before I'd hear ANYTHING from them - after 4 months of inaccurate quotes and hassles, we gave up on Hemminger Homes and went to somewhere else. The 2nd place we went to, Mt. View Homes, promised we would have our price quote in a week........and that was 4 weeks ago, and they haven't even bothered trying to contact us at all.......so we contacted DB Homes. DB Homes had me email them our floor plans prior to our 1st appointment (our appointment was the same week we initially called them), and when we met with them for the 1st time, they gave us price quote estimates based on our floor plans that we sent them - VERY IMPRESSIVE. AND, they were extremely understanding and nice to our 4 year old granddaughter who was with us for hours as we went through our options for the homes........Keith even went to the Disney Channel and asked her what she would like to watch. They also treated her to paper/pens, pretzels, cookies, crackers, candy, and even some toys!

They constructed a large back deck, taking into consideration the handicapped needs of one of us. Tom aims to provide quality work at a reasonable price inside and outside. They have helped us even in smaller jobs like replacing an odd-sized bathroom door and cleaning out our gutters. Most recently they installed new double ovens when the supplier failed to measure the fit correctly and we needed Tom's carpentry skills. Tom brings decades of experience. KSL does not stand behind their work. I have been trying to get them to repair a few things going…read moreon two years now. Kurt the owner has been here to look and promised to fix multiple times. He never shows up to do the repairs though. If he doesn't agree with you he will try to bully you and when that don't work he will physically threaten you. I have filed complaints with bbb and pa attorney general but that did'nt work either. He feels he doesn't have to answer to anyone. I have insulation board under the rubber roof he put on lifting up . Kurt has seen this promised to fix but never shows up. there is trim around a door that was installed using 27 exposed trim nails and wrong color that was supposed to be fixed but still not. This is just a couple of things that are wrong , there are many more but Kurt will not come back to fix. He was great when he was owed money but as soon as he was paid refuses to come back. I would not recommend this company and if you still want to hire him make sure you are completely satisfied before you pay him or he won't come back. You'll see what he's like if he responds to this review.

It was a pleasure to work with him and his entire team were absolutely wonderful. These highly skilled men have a strong work ethic and made this remodel stress free! They constantly asked if we had any questions and if we were happy each step of the way. They took daily photographs of hard to see areas for us which was a great idea to document the repair process. Their suggestions were so appreciated and resulted in the newer look we wanted for our home. The crew were absolutely meticulous in caring for the surrounding landscaping prior to each day's work and in daily cleanup! They were especially mindful of stray nails and staples that could get into our dog's paws. We really appreciated that effort and we know our pups are too! It can now snow as much as it wants on our sturdy new roof and we have already received compliments on our new siding. We highly recommend KSL. Their professionalism and expertise are a winning combination.

He gave us a very reasonable qoute, and told us he and his helpers could seal the driveway that afternoon They were very thorough, they cleaned the driveway, trimmed any landscaping plants that overhung the blacktop, filled all the cracks with an aspalt based elastomer, and sprayed the entire surface with a high quality aspalt based sealer. They paid attention to every detail. They were very friendly and courteous, and did a wonderful job. We couldn't be happier.
