I'm surprised by the number of one-star reviews here. I reached out to Boylston Staffing after seeing a university position they had posted on craigslist. Rick got back to me almost immediately, and I went in to meet with him the following day. The thing that most impressed me about Rick/Boylston was how up-front and honest he was with how they operated and what I could expect from our relationship. I was fortunate enough to get an interview and an offer from the university I had initially been interested in, but throughout that process (which took about a month), Rick also made sure to keep me abreast of other opportunities that came in. My experience may have been somewhat atypical, as I was looking for a permanent position and not temp jobs, but after dealing with Rick I am confident that he would work just as diligently and be just as open regardless of the path I was pursuing. Rick is someone you can tell genuinely has your best interest in mind and who got into the staffing business to help people along their respective career paths. I have nothing but great things to say about Rick and Boylston Staffing. I had just moved to Boston and had no luck with getting a job. After a month I contacted Boylston and within 2 days I met with Rick and within 3 days I had my first interview. I did not have the best luck with my first few interviews, but Rick would check in with me almost every day with new opportunities. He also made sure he called me after every interview to see how it went and to check in with the company. He also provided me with valuable tips as well. I think the longest I went without a "check in" from Rick was a day and a half. I felt like they really cared and tried really hard to find me a great job and they always had my best interest at heart. I now have been at my current job for three months and am about to become a permanent hire. I would never have been able to do this without Rick and the rest of Boylston Staffing. I had heard about Boylston Staffing from a former coworker who knew that I was ready to leave my current job. She told me that her friend had worked for them previously and now found a job he loved, so I thought it was worth a try. The first positive thing that struck me was that my contact, Rick Donovan, got in touch with me very soon after I called. He was very pleasant and informative and made me feel as though I could rely on his help and guidance. I have nothing but good things to say about Boylston. I'm originally from New York, moved to Pittsburgh and now I am in the New England Area. Being the "new girl in town" is never easy, espcially when your resume makes you look like you are in the witness protection program. I applied to the job online, and almost immediately received a response from Kathleen. She was thrilled that I had the experience that I had, and we scheduled an inperson interview. I met Rick that day, we spoke about what I was looking for, where I had been, and what I can do. He told me about a position, and by the time I was on the train back home, I had an interview with the company for the next day. Three days later, I got a call back and I started the job that Monday. Positively Awesome. They landed me a great job and wouldn't ask for anything better. Honestly, I enjoy coming into work everyday. I came across Boylston Staffing a couple of months ago after being unemployed since May. I responded to a job post and was immediately contacted by Kathleen. During the interview process, Kathleen was professional and very honestly with me. She saw my strengths and gave me tips on how to improve my weaknesses. Unfortunately, the position I applied for had been filled but within a day or two of the interview, Kathleen contacted me with plenty of options. I felt that she really personalized the search by listening to what I needed. She worked with me and kept in constant contact. I'd never worked with a staffing agency before and I was blown away by the quality of service and the speed at which they worked to help. I applied for a job on Craigslist and got a call from Rick the next day. After meeting with him the next week I had a series of interviews with their client in the succeeding days. I had gotten a job offer from another firm that I was uncertain about, but told Rick that I really wanted the job with the firm that he set me up with. He was able to speak with them and came back with their job offer a few hours later. In total, it took me less than a week to get a job through them! Furthermore, I'm currently employed full-time at the job that Rick helped me find. Of course, the speed that this happened to me was not the same with everyone that I've spoken with who has worked with Boylston, but if you have the right skills, they are very dedicated to putting you in a position and will work with you until it happens. The job was good and my experience with the Boylston Staffing crew was strictly positive. When my career began to evolve and I found myself back on the job market, I hit up Rick first. BS - that's what this agency stands for....they are the worse in the business (they deserved to be YELP!). Attention all job seekers DO NOT i repeat DO NOT EVER make the MISTAKE of using this agency. They are a waste of your energy, time, self confidence and they are the most useless of all the agencies (I applied for quite a few) and by far they are most unfriendly, unkind, rude and obnoxious. They don't want your business (I don't know why they exist), not helpful, they don't call you, and when you call them they just give you a rude e-mail or phone call (after I repeatedly try to contact them). I think that this staffing agency is Great! I say this because they (especially Kathleen ) were very helpful in my job search. After interviewing with her and going over my skill set and the things I was seeking in employment, she was very helpful in placing me. I was really impressed by the customer service piece of how she approached everything. She called whenever she thought there was a position that would be a good fit for me. There was constant contact about how the process was coming along and after about 2 weeks I was placed. I have been working for a great company for almost 6 months now. I have worked with many staffing agencies in Boston while on summer breaks from college and now as a recent graduate. I can honestly say that Boylston Staffing is one of the best agencies that I have worked with. Boylston called me multiple times a week with opportunities and I was placed quickly. Boylston also offers a great level of service to their candidates. Rick answers emails in literally minutes and was even available to talk to me after business hours when I had some questions that I needed answered before the next business day. I have been working with Boylston Staffing for quite some time now and they have been nothing but kind, extremely professional, and flexible! At first, I was looking for a permanent position with a firm in Boston, but later decided long-term temporary would be ideal since I will be going back to school. He had me come into the office to meet with him to learn more about Boylston staffing and to find out more about myself. As a recent college graduate new to the city, I thought working with a temp agency would be my best bet to securing a job.
