Several of my belongings were damaged, and when I asked for reimbursement, Trevon was unwilling to take responsibility or offer a fair resolution. On top of that, he caused damage to my recently renovated home and refused to give me any clear assurance that he would fix the issues. I now regret trusting By Any Means Movers--especially since they do not appear to carry proper insurance. If you're looking for reliable movers in Austin, TX (or in any other area they serve), I strongly suggest going with a more reputable company. My experience with By Any Means was frustrating, costly, and disappointing.

They are great guys and it was great to chat and get to know them too. We also had them do our long distance move. Our long distance move was hassle-free and I had a great experience working with AJ and Samuel. They are super friendly guys, and they work quickly and efficiently. We had minimal damage on our items, nothing I was concerned about, and they were super careful bringing things into the house. The cost of the move was a bit pricier than others, but worth it. Mike and Gary handled everything with care and were very fast given the heat and flights of stairs to repeatedly climb. Gary took a queen sized Nectar mattress down in one arm! Since there was two trips it was 35 fee. Considering I didn't pick the truck, not sure why, I was charged. But oh well. Also several times Mike was on his phone instead of working. There was only two people when they needed a third person, maybe two more l. My father and I had to help since it was going on almost 7 hours but was told he could do it in 4 at most. He was my first moving company, so this is all a learning lesson for me. I would still recommend, as they were very professional and accommodating. Things were taken care of properly. Only two things I noticed broken, but who knows when and who broke it. It migjt have even been me and I forgot. So it is what it is. I am not worried about it. Thank you for getting me moved.

Mitch and his crew showed up on time and were very professional. We were moving from a 3rd floor apartment so it was not an easy move. We were told to relax and they'd take care of everything. So we just sat out on patio and drank coffee. :) Took Mitch's crew only 2 1/2 hours for what I thought would be 4 hours or more. Our truck was loaded professionally and was secure. Drove 400 miles to Fort Sill without a shift; scratch; or ding. HINT: No matter how much online/email confirmation you have... always call your Uhaul pickup point the day before to confirm they will have a truck for you. Ugh!

So they only loaded the truck, I drove it across country and on the other side the unloaders could not believe how poorly it was loaded. Something as simple as stacking carboard boxes on top of heavy duty bins was missed. (see photos) They put my $60 target stools upside down so the legs were facing upwards and then put my chairs upholstery side down on those legs... they did this for BOTH of my living room chairs... (see photo) They HAD TRIED to put a mini fridge full on the inside on top of a crate and barrel wooden console with tiny thin legs. I made them NOT do that - much to their chagrin - while they walked all over it inside the truck. They ruined approximately $2000 worth of furniture. All in all - I lost more in damages than the loading even cost, got no help afterwards and I am lucky that I escaped with the damage I had - it could have easily been 2x-3x the amount had I let them stack the fridge on top of the other stuff. Roughly 950 square feet of living space and he had it done in a week. Worked non stop from 8-4 and did an outstanding job. I hope this can be fixed when I paint the room. I also notice the transition strip in the office (by the entrance of the house) was composed of two different pieces that varied in color instead of one solid piece. Joe left a bag of trash in my house instead of taking it with him. Since my house was a mess I was able to use it for some of the trash I had laying around but in all honesty l don't think he should have left it behind. We love our floors though. They look so much better than the old worn carpet. Joe came in time every day for 3 days and got to work without bothering us. I wish we could hire him again but I think we're done with floor renovations lol.

To be honest almost all of them were fine... nothing went wrong and clearly we built a relationship if I used him so many times. The very unfortunate thing about this whole thing is on my last move (beginning of August 2023) he broke my big green egg and damaged my Peloton bike in transit. I didn't even freak out because he started off right... apologizing and saying he was going to take care of it. He hadn't broken anything else before so I tried to be nice and let him know we will figure it out end it'll be ok because I thought I could trust him. I didn't question him about it much until months and months went by without a single dollar or action and to be honest I was very lenient and understanding because like I said I've used him many jobs and I thought I could trust him. He told me his insurance was taking for ever, but he promised he would handle it. At the very end of October he let me know his insurance denied covering the claim, but he knew needed to pay me for my things that were damaged. He didn't pay me right away and once again I was as patient as I could be because of the relationship we built. On November 13th, over 3 months since the items were broken, he made his first payment. He made another payment November 16th. That was the last I've heard from him and he still owes me over $400. I have called and left voicemails, sent multiple texts over 2 weeks and still not a word from him. I work very hard for the things that I have and I paid him on time for all the jobs he had done. It's very unfortunate, disappointing and disrespectful to be treated this way not only after all the money and business I've sent his way, but to not to do the right thing whenever something goes wrong is not how things should be handled. I would've never expected him to treat me or anyone else like this especially with all the different interactions we've had, but it just goes to show you so many people rather not do the right thing no matter what you've done for them or how you've supported their business. I can no longer back Steven or his company up. I will no longer recommend them to anyone. I am also including pictures of the damage, pictures of what it costs to replace my items as screen shots of payments so you all know this is an honest review. Steven, if you choose to do the right thing and send me the rest of my money I will take this review down.
