Came hero spontaneously on a Monday evening because we were in the area. They had unlimited bowl after 7pm which was a great deal. We were given a lane and after the third frame, had to go up for assistance with resetting the pins or other technical issues. We were then moved to another lane which wasn't much better. The frame in the floor was falling apart and still had the same issues with resetting after each player played their turn. While there, I went to the bar and purchased on two occasions to order drinks. I tipped the bartender- 20% on each round. I came up there for a third time and asked to have a cup of water. I needed to take some medication and asked for a cup of water. The bartender stated that it's "company policy " and they sell bottles of Aquafina for sale. No free water. Any other establishments would offer complimentary CUP of water especially after a patron purchases something. Not only is it a courtesy but it is mandated in Illinois. Additionally, it is an Illinois plumbing code for establishments that exceed 100 people capacity offer water free of charge. There were no water fountains anywhere in that establishment! Came here for a friend's birthday party for about 30+ people of mostly tweens ranging to adults. My friend did have to check in a lot as when you have a lot of teen boys the food will run around almost as soon as it's laid out in front of them. However they did a good job of keeping up. The arcade is on the smaller side, but there are a few choice large games - my son really enjoyed the piano game that's tucked in the back. This location is smaller, so for the arcade prizes you get them out of a vending machine rather than having a person count the tickets and provide it to you. My visit was frustrating. And I felt took advantage of very poor communication from the staff especially from the manager, Michael he didn't like my race and made me feel very uncomfortable trying to be a tuff guy thy just wanted to overcharged me for something I didn't want and I made it clear cuz of there mistake I asked for clarification, but the staff was some staff was hiding in the back so he wouldn't get in trouble all he had to do was tell his manager it. Was his fault for not explaining correctly but thy make there customer pay for there mistake very confusing and unhelpful. I hope management improves their service and transparency. Can I give negative stars? I had the worst bowling experience of my life. I live in the area, my husband and I went to Bowlero Niles for a few games. They gave us a lane that was in between a group of young adults and some other bowlers. When we arrived at the lanes the floor was wet, it looked like someone urinated on the floor, my husband went and found a wet bar rag to clean it up. We also noticed the table, chairs, and floor were all wet and sticky. My husband asked the desk clerk for another lane. He said no even though there were plenty of open lanes. He said a league was coming. After pressing the issue he reluctantly gave a lane near where the league would be bowling. When we're done bowling there were only a few league bowlers doing some very early practice. There is a no reason for them to keep so many adjacent lanes empty like this, it's their business to have people bowling? At the new lane the floor felt very sticky. The lane and seating area looked grimy. We went to the front counter to get a dry towel and tried to buff off the dirt so we could get at least a little foot slide. The towel came up dirty but this only helped a little. We noticed it was very warm and humid in the facility, this was before we even started bowling. My husband went to the counter and asked for the AC to be turned on. The clerk said they could not adjust it, that it was controlled off site, I guess controlled by a micro managing bean counting corporate slug. The temp and humidity made it very unbearable once we started to bowl. The lane continued to feel sticky. It seems the grime on the floor was absorbing the humidity making the whole problem worse. My husband said that every time he threw the ball it felt like he was going to do a face plant on the lanes or that his knee was going to snap off. I had to listen to his complaints after every single ball and could see his pain. I wonder how many people blow their knees out when forced to bowl on sticky lanes like this? Bowlero should be more conscious of this to take care of their customers and avoid law suits. To cool off we got a Miller Lite from the bar, can you believe they charged $5.50 for a ff...in Miller Lite? We were shocked at this outrageous price, but what can you do? My husband has a very new ball. When the ball came back it had a large 3" grease smudge on it and it had new scar on it. I wonder what Bowlero's maintenance routine is on their equipment? My guess is they farm it out to a traveling company and the maintenance is done far less than needed. Maybe Bowlero should stop buying bowling alleys and focus on improving them. Maybe they should focus less on extracting every penny they can from people by keeping the AC off and charging $5.50 for a ff....in Miller Lite and focus a little more on the customer. When my husband went to pay he told clerk the issues, said he really did not want to pay, and asked what their resolution would be. To the clerks credit he said he could charge half the rate, probably couldn't do more, but we would have paid the whole bill just to get out of there. As a sanity check when we left we went a mile down the road to Classic Bowl in Morton Grove. The had a lot of people in the facility but it felt cool and not humid. We also confirmed that a Miller Lite cost a reasonable $4.75. Now I know someone at Bowlero is assigned to monitor these comments and will be tempted to give their standard answer "we are sorry...... we care.... We strive....blah blah blah". Save the BS. If you are going to respond make sure you address the points mentioned above especially the micro managing of the temp and humidity, because you are creating a very dangerous condition for your bowlers. Also tell us what your maintenance routine is what you are going to do to improve it. Also tell us how you justify $5.50 for a beer small local bowling alley and what your going to do about it. Went here on a Thursday night and it was crowded due to spring breakers. I reserved one lane for two hours which totaled $68.00. I was not impressed with this place. First, if you want to add another hour it's $60 for three people, what a rip off. The food is okay, not the greatest. Staff needs to work on their demeanor. TIL that all these years, I've been pronouncing Bowlero wrong. I've been pronouncing it Bowl-ah-roo, and the staff calls it Bowl-air-ro. Go figure. I came here with the kiddies for Kid Fest, where kids bowl free, with free bowling shoes. We got lane 29 and had a grand ol' time bowling. My son is Bowler McBowlerson, while I'm more like Gutterball McGee. Everything was in working order and we had no frames that were stuck. The overhead monitor informs how much I suck, and how I could never be a professional bowler. For foodsies, we got hot dog, large order of garlic parmesan fries, chicken tenders, and a grilled chicken sandwich. $48 bro. Garlic parmesan fries were $11 on its own :-( The lady taking our order at the register reminded me of the customer service you get at Chinatown. When she asked what we wanted, my son started to mention he wanted hot dogs with a co...... but she interrupted him and said she needed to write things down. To wash down the drinks, we asked for water. But with the sticker-shock of $48, we paid, and returned to our seats, as we were told the food would be sent to our lane. While we walked away, the lady yelled and screamed, "Hey! Hey! Your water!!!!" She really wanted to make sure we got our waters. But, the food was pretty good. My chicken sandwich came with a sauce and pickles... not bad. Just not $48 good. BATHROOM REVIEW: Not sure if they have multiple bathrooms, but I'm noting the one near our lane. Their arcade is rigged. These machines they were taking my credits and not working. Especially the basketball machine. A lot of these machines are out of order. This review is for the party for 30+ people for 2 hours. Instead of doing separate bachelor/bachelorette parties, we decided to have a combined party with our loved ones. It included drink tickets (soft drinks and alcohol). We had a fantastic time. It was a weeknight & the location wasn't terribly crowded. It just so happened that we got very lucky that our relatives who had not RSVP'd were able to purchase lanes next to us. Bowlero was well prepared for us, and when we arrived they were able to quickly set everyone up with the right size shoes, balls, and lanes. The only downsides are that the events here are pricey. Expect a party to cost over a thousand. But I have zero regrets. It was a fun night before the wedding that everyone will remember. The other downside is that they had only 1 bartender for the entire venue, so it took like 15 minutes to get a diet coke. All in all, I would highly recommend this place. it was great for all!! read more

I went here for a friend's daughter's birthday party and thought they did a great job. It was very crowded that day, the weather was extremely cold so I'm sure people were looking here for an indoor activity, but even with the large amount of people they were able to contain the area for her party (gifts/food) some what away from everybody else to give us our own face for eating, singing a cake. I also liked that they had a pretty large arcade area for additional activities. I saw that all the Birthday Parties were supplied with nice looking letters and numbers that lit up and spelled the child's name and age. I thought this was a very nice idea! Wanted to give this place a shout out- they did an amazing job with my son's 11th bday celebration! The decor was on point, hostess was attentive and helpful, and the whole experience went smoothly. My son and the rest of the party had so much fun bowling, eating, and playing in the arcade. For our party of 7, we had two lanes reserved and were tucked in a corner away from other bowlers so it was semi private. As soon as we walked there was an uninterested employee. We prepaid 2 games while they knew we weren't going to be able to play them out. They sent us to a purposefully broken lane for no reason at all. The place reeked of weed. Once we asked for a refund on our second game because our lane broke they weren't able to give it to us. Put another group of people right next to us when there was plenty of lanes open. In the end they let us stay past closing to finish our game but we were already in a bad mood from the previous incidents. All in all a terrible experience and would not come back again. read more

Not sure what happened to this place. Unsure if there's new staff that took over when Brunswick transitioned to Bowlero or what? The experience was pretty poor. I came in with a Groupon, and I get it, no one wants to be a coupon guy. I present my Groupon and they scan it. Somehow, my Groupon is showing as already used when on my phone, it's an untouched voucher. Groupon's customer service confirmed this with me. They wouldn't take it. Not sure what's wrong with their system, but it makes a bad starting impression. You can't fake that. So we pay. $20 for two games with shoes. Kind of obscene, but fine. Sit down, and the lane we get is malfunctioning like it was made by someone who read instructions upside down. I'm talking after a fresh set of pins is laid for the next player, it immediately resets the pins to be in a random order with some missing. Some frames are miscalculated. Our bowling balls fall into a mysterious bowling abyss which makes for great difficulty since there's no weight consistency for anyone. I ask staff for help and we're sitting there for 20 minutes before resuming. We could not take our time as the clock for the two games was still ticking anyway. Became way more of a hassle than it's worth. I haven't been here in a while, and I'm probably going to stick to Classic Bowl because the staff wasn't helpful, nor where they willing to assist with damn near anything. read more

We had fun. Staff was super nice and fixed all our issues right away. But I can't give it 5 stars. Heres why: When we started, the lane never refreshed from the last game and so every time we threw a ball it automatically reset all of the pins for our second go. They did fix it, but still, equipment should work properly. Nobody came when we hit the service button, so we had to keep going to the counter. The bathrooms were dirty and smelly. Weird old fashioned water basin sink with no water pressure and the hand towel dispenser didn't work. I hate the setup of tables and chairs. Our table was broken and extremely wobbly and drinks spilled. The chairs and u comfortable and there's no real separation between lanes so you are pretty uncomfortably close to the people next to you. Should be benches or booths designed to the lane. Having the kitchen be something we can all see into, you would think they would maybe.. idk.. clean the equipment? It looked so gross, I could see shit all over the walls and that the ovens and fryers were D I R T Y. The food was AWFUL. No idea why people are saying it's good. The pretzel sticks for real just tasted like dirty smoky unclean oven. They gave us marinara with them when it says cheese. The garlic parm fries were also just nasty tasting. I know it's bowling alley food, but it doesn't have to be the worst quality, frozen crap. I watched the guy load a bag of frozen fries in the fryer. Just an odd design choice. Bartender didn't know what a drink was and instead of asking she just made a non alcoholic drink and gave it to us. Obviously not a real bartender, but again, shouldn't be that hard. After visiting the location to check out the atmosphere and vibe, my son decided this would be a great place for his 11th birthday party. Your party is scheduled by their off-site event planner who takes down all your data and party needs as well as the menu/drinks orders. She assured me that our party would have a point person/hostess who would be available for our needs. The party went off without a hitch. Our point person (and forgive me, I forgot her name) was amazing. She ensured this busy Mama even had a drinky-drink if she wanted. Our food (pizza, chicken tenders, fries and soft drinks) was set up on time--the chicken tenders were the favorite. We had three lanes and when one malfunctioned, we were quickly given the one next to it. The lanes/seating/tables were clean and well-maintained. Our party was mid-week and ended at 730p but we lingered a little later while the kids took the party to the arcade and we didnt feel any pressure to hurry up and leave. When the moms started to clear up plates, our hostess came by and told us to stop, and that they'll take care of it. Busy mom's love to hear it when things are taken care of! My partner and I did the 2-hour bowl Groupon and we had a blast. We went on a week night and it wasn't very busy at first and then it picked up later in the evening. We started with wings and fries that were very good. Then we got a drink from the bar. Gina was our bartender and we struck up a conversation with her and she was so nice! The center is dirty - like trip and fall on your approach dirty. The lanes are constantly having issues - reracking when they are not supposed to, not returning the ball. Almost impossible to bowl a game without having to contact the desk for something or other. Could be greatly improved if anyone working there cared about the center or the bowlers. read more

The lanes were all set up for us, the kids got their shoes and game credits and were off. The facility, including the bathrooms was clean and the staff were all helpful and friendly. Why are you not bowling here already? I came here on a weekend, around 8 pm and the place had decent number of people playing. We did get a lane right away though. Place follows covid rules appropriately which was nice. They sanitized the tables intermittently and masks were supposed to be worn all the time, which was a little cumbersome I'll be honest (Bec I played for straight two hours). However, that's understandable and fair. Music was great - they even played Lose yourself- Eminem at one point. Food menu is typical - wings, pretzels, nachos etc. and they do serve cocktails too - margarita was decent, $8 I believe. They also have few other arcade games and pool. (Not at all Bowlero locations) Additionally, Service was great and the lady at the check in was super sweet! P.S- They always have specials going on so do call ahead. I went out of my way to ask the manager what her name was so i could specifically right this. No response for gratification, and the biggest look of annoyance. We got the summer pass so we've basically been going every day. Jessica, Christian, Kelsee, Sue, and Josh are all awesome! They're friendly and very helpful! If you're looking for a fun day/night out, this location has cosmic bowl all the time, except when there's league bowling. If you're looking to practice, it's sometimes hard to see the lane with the cosmic lights and projector screens. It would be super awesome if they had the lights on even when there isn't a league going on. Having worked at a bowling alley before, I appreciate that most of the lanes, pin setters, and ball returns work well. Whenever we had any issues, the response time was quick. Advertised their night as 3.33 for tacos, drinks, and games. Ran out of tacos 10 minutes into the deal when only 3 lanes were being used so it definitely wasn't a capacity issue. Also charged me 16 for a 12.99 set of wings based on a mandatory service charge. Then refused to honor 3.33 drink deal despite their advertising saying deal is simply after 8 pm.
