I am a serious bowler who has bowled here often. The lanes are good and the staff delightful. The rates are high and the specials limited, although significant reductions are given to league bowlers. One would think, then, that Bowlero's strategists and marketing people have enacted curious changes of late. In recent weeks, large TV screens have been placed above the pins on every lane, the lights dimmed, and the music raised multiple decibals. The attempt is clearly to attract people who have little or no interest in bowling itself. Perhaps price breaks would have served a similar purpose (i.e., specials for students and seniors, month-long or annual memberships, etc). At the same time, people truly interested in bowling will inevitably be annoyed by the blaring noise, disruptive images and no longer noticeable markings on the lanes. Someone please help! At the very least, schedule various designated times when the lights are on and the TV's and music toned down. Further, try leaving several lanes on one end of the building lit for people who want to bowl. There must be some creative solutions! read more

Can you please hire some staff? Especially some staff that cares. There is always a huge line with only one person working. There is no one to be found if you need help except the lady at the register with a huge line. Games don't work, card machines don't work. If you need the kids ramp forget about it. They said there were 4 lanes ahead of us that needed one but then the guy working there who clearly doesn't care would just stick them in the next lane on the list without even looking to see that no one was using that lane anymore. read more

I loved so many things about the new and improved bowling alley! Great service, great food, great decor! BUTTTTTT the giant screens at the end of the lanes show distracting and inappropriate music videos that I feel are not cool for kids. We come bowling to escape the screens! There was literally a sci-fi movie, football, and semi nude music videos playing the entire time. Not only is it distracting to bowl, but not ok for my kids. Hopefully Bowlero Clovis will consider this and get rid of the screens. Unfortunately my family won't be coming back unless they turn the screens off... read more

This business should be listed as a scam. When I was reserving a lane online they tried to charge a mandatory "food and beverage credit". Basically, they want to pre charge you $20 per person for food and beverage even if you chose not to have any food or beverages and just want to bowl. They explained to me that it's an amenity and I could use it as a future credit if I did t use it. What kind of business does this? What happened to I pay for services rendered and products consumed. Are they so hard up for cash that they want to pre charge you for food and beverage that you may or may not consume? What a horrible way to treat your customers and it's disgusting that when I called to ask the question to the Clovis, CA Bowlero they explained it as a benefit and hung up on me when I told them I'd rather only pay for whatever food and beverage I actually consumed while there. This company is the textbook example of how to treat your customers in the worst way possible. What a joke! read more

Stopped by on Saturday around noon; there was a small line, front clerks worked efficiently and were very friendly. My kids had fun, which in turn made my day. They have attitudes such as rolling their eyes and ignoring you when you ask them questions. For a bowling ally this place is pretty piss poor. The lane scorers weren't computing properly, the cashier was not at all genuine in friendliness (I could tell I was inconveniencing her by being there), the food order wasn't put in until like 5 minutes after we paid for it even tho there was like no one else there, it was expensive and not at all worth $100 for one game of 6 people (2 of which were tiny toddlers). Don't bowl here unless you have no other options and you want an extra headache. The manager ended up refunding us (he wasn't happy about it but he wasn't rude about it). The whole time I'm trying to deal with the refund the cashier is just glaring at me with the food we ordered in one hand asking the manager "what am I supposed to do with this?" The experience was bad ESPECIALLY for a place that is only for bowling. I'll take my kids to the casino for $20 next time. read more

I'm surprised by all the negative reviews, but then again I'm not a local (I've only lived here since May) so May have not gotten the experience they have had as this was my first visit. This was the cutest, most well decorated bowling alley I've ever been to (I yelped the other Fresno location and that one is even cuter, will have to check out) we walked in with a party of 7, reserved two lanes and it took about 20-30 minutes for lanes to open up- I'd call ahead if I go again to make sure there is space. They place was clean and well maintained, staff seemed friendly, we ordered an appetizer platter, pizza etc. boys got that huge beer funnel thing as well as a massive mule. They seemed to enjoy it except I guess the mule was lacking in both alcohol and quality for the price they paid for it. The food was good! Not really any complaints there, typical bowling alley food but maybe with a bit more care. We bowled two games, only downfall was I was bowling with an 11 year old who wanted the gutter gates up (ok fine) I'm used to putting them down for players who don't want them- but unfortunately you can only have it one way or the other here, it's not manual for each player which I found odd. I bowl here about 5-7 times a month and I love it. This bowling alley isn't perfect (E.g. No seating available for those waiting to get a lane, expensive drinks & often crowded lanes). But with all that nitpicking there are plenty of reasons to go bowling here. With AMAZING SERVICE, a snazzy vibe, and constant renovations, I'm glad to call this my 2nd home. Do Not Book a Party/Event here if you are not booking much prior than 30 days in advance. If you book it 32 days in advance and you don't have enough guest RSVP to cover the cost of what you booked and cancel it 29 days before the booked event, you will not get a refund. They will only allow you to reschedule for a different day/time, and depending on how far out you reschedule you may have to pay new fees. This policy is horrible. It reminds me of the fast fashion shops that will only offer exchanges if you purchase anything as a way to keep the money you spent in their pockets. When booking events the website mentions if you have to add more people to your event but it doesn't mention the no refund if you book less than 30 days in advance and that your money is staying with them. You have to actually seek out the link to their party/events terms. Of course they are not going to give you that heads up before you book. If I would have seen that no refund policy on their FAQ page I wouldn't have booked an event there. Also after reading other reviews, I remembered my family had the same experience as another reviewer. One time when we went bowling here pre-covid, we were assigned to our lane, and about 20 minutes away from our game being over and while still eating our food and playing our bowling game the waitress comes over and says she has to move us to another lane because the one we were at was reserved. I was like I why even put us here in the first place? We had to carry all of out food, drinks, and bowling balls to a new lane far from where we were. Then on top of that we had to wait for them to transfer our game to the new lane. read more

First time here and we loved it, food was good the young girl at the front counter check in was super nice BUT the old lady bartender needs a course in customer service, she was so rude when we were being so nice, I understand having a bad day but when someone is being nice to you especially a customer you should be nice back, she made us feel like we were a bother. This place is not cheap we spent over $150 so I would expect better customer service especially from someone who is expected to get tipped. The only reason I'm giving this a 2 star rating is because when me and my friends came to bowl, we had a great time but when we went to the bar for drinks this girl jumped in front of us and took our order, we paid then she turned around and told us she can not get us our drinks because she wasn't 21 ?? Why is she even behind the bar in the first place??! She asked another employee walking by to go behind the bar and get our drinks since she can not. Management needs to make sure their employees under 21 stay away from the bar it's illegal and makes them look bad. We seen her say this to a few other customers too.
