The kids wanted to do that first so we walked straight to the bowling (right behind & in close proximity to the front desk). We had been told by the front desk gal we purchased from that the attendant manning the bowling area would get us set up, give us our balls, etc. We walked a few steps over there and it was obvious that employee could not help us as it appeared a lady had been hit in the face with a bowling ball or some other similar medical emergency. Understandably, the employee could not get us set up so we returned to the front desk to ask if that worker we had purchased bowling from could just hand us our balls. We figured since there were 4 lanes, maybe we could play in the one on the far left since incident occurred on the lane to the far right. We were told that we could not bowl (by another employee) due to the incident. We were told we would need to wait to play. I get it, but I wish we had been offered the option of a refund. No such offer. We decided then to go into the playground area, Ballocity, whilst waiting for this incident to clear. We were quite surprised to find that there were multiple buckets collecting water from a ceiling leak INSIDE THE PLAYGROUND AREA! This was completely unsanitary and poses multiple safety hazards (including, but not limited to, slipping and falling, kids playing in the disgusting water, etc.). To make matters worse, my youngest child advised me that there was tons of water on the ground up above in the top level of the play structure!!! Talk about unsafe. I climbed up there myself to validate what he had told me and sure enough it was correct. This entire play structure should be closed until this leaking water situation is corrected. Additionally, many of the games were out of order and not operational. The Sonic Basketball game would still take credits off of cards, but unfortunately, we soon realized that there are not even any balls in the game with which to play. Totally unfortunate. We did not even use all the credits we bought. We got out of there. I hope they are not going to go out of business soon. I am very concerned, from a business standpoint, that they may not be bringing in enough money to maintain their facility. PLEASE LOOK AT MY PHOTOS BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE.

One of the main attractions at Mavrix is bowling. Another is laser tag. I passed on both and checked out the arcade instead. It was time well spent because it's a pretty awesome arcade. I've been to the Bowlero in North Scottsdale and it's smaller than this one. Here, you have a bunch of fighting and driving games, interspersed with carnival-style games. I played 10 or so games total in about an hour. Wednesday is a great day to go because the games are 50% off. I didn't come away empty-handed either. With the tickets I won, I redeemed them in their prize room. It's a pretty large room too, with more prizes available than the North Scottsdale location. While I didn't have many tickets, I had enough for two pieces of candy and a T-Rex toy. Outside of what I mentioned, Mavrix has plenty of areas to sit, including a full bar. I haven't had food or drinks here, but I did take a look at the menu and it's a pretty extensive one. Definitely nicer overall than your typical bowling alley.

Answered all my questions and made it really easy to feel comfortable walking in as a first-timer& Overall just a really easy, no-pressure environment. While I later learned there is a designated bin for toys that have been in kids' mouths, this wasn't communicated upfront, and I didn't see it being consistently used or enforced. There also seemed to be inconsistency when it came to staff involvement. Across my two visits, I did see some staff members actively cleaning up and returning toys to their proper places, which I appreciated. However, I also observed others simply picking up toys and dropping them into corners of the rooms without any real organization or sanitizing. I completely understand that keeping up with kids is a challenge--I'm a parent too--but that's where consistent staff engagement becomes really important. Another issue was the level of parental supervision. Many parents were on their phones while their kids played freely. Again, that's ultimately a parenting responsibility, but in a shared environment like this, it contributes to the overall hygiene and safety concerns. I also want to mention that I found the staff presentation a bit unprofessional, which added to the overall impression that things weren't being closely managed. To be fair, you do sign a waiver regarding illness, and I understand that no play space can be completely germ-free. However, I did end up contracting chickenpox exactly 10 days after visiting, which makes me seriously question the effectiveness of their cleaning and sanitizing practices. Overall, this place is incredibly cute and full of potential. With more consistent staff involvement, clearer communication, better sanitization systems, and encouragement for parents to stay engaged, it could be an amazing environment. Right now, though, it falls short of what it could and should be.

Before this she was enrolled in a care facility in California where I noticed signs of sadness, neglect, and unfortunately abuse. Since my daughter has started this facility, she wakes up excited to get her day started and go to school, she talks about her "ABCD" (the letter blocks in the front) school and she's excited to see her teachers Ms. Deanna & Ms. Tiela. I receive DAILY photos and updates of food, activities, naps & potty times of my daughter. Ms. Samantha(I hope I got her name correct) always makes it her duty to come out of her office (located as soon as you walk in to your right) and make sure everything is going well with not just the children but you as a parent. The front desk staff are all so welcoming and they make sure to remember who your kid is which makes this experience all the more better for the parent. I feel extremely safe and secure with my daughter attending this facility and I couldn't be any happier with the choice. The prices tend to fluctuate but never more than a few dollars and if you have any questions about your pricing the girls never hesitate to print you up statements of what your being charged and the best part of this all they also have an area on the TLE app where you see these exact things as well. So, this summer, I signed her up for private softball lessons at D-BAT with Coach Jayme, and I honestly couldn't be happier with that decision. After just one lesson, my daughter's confidence skyrocketed. She was tracking the ball better, rotating her glove correctly, and finally beginning to understand the fundamentals of catching. In one session with Coach Jayme, she learned more than she had during an entire season of Little League. The biggest change, however, wasn't mechanical. It was her confidence. She enjoyed that first lesson so much that she begged me to sign her up for the week-long softball day camp. As the week went on, I watched her excitement for the game continue to grow. She wasn't just getting better--she was falling in love with softball. As for D-BAT itself, the facility has been excellent. The pro shop is well stocked with softball and baseball equipment, sunglasses, snacks, drinks, and even baseball cards. There are plenty of batting cages available for rentals, lessons, and camps, and everything has felt organized and welcoming every time we've visited. There are also bleachers and sitting areas for parents to watch. We're still new to the softball world, so I don't have years of experience comparing facilities. What I do know is this: My daughter asked where she could get better. We brought her to D-BAT. She left believing she could. As a parent, that's about the highest compliment I can give. We'll definitely be back.

I will continue to come back. I highly recommend a membership if you plan on going atleast once a week, it easily pays for itself.

We are avid bowlers in our surrounding community.. we had a particular house that we bowled at frequently through out the week.. everyone from my 8yo daughter all the way to my parent's (who are in their 60s) absolutely loved the place untill a recent management change.. we have now witnessed the place go downhill in so many ways.. however we now travel 1hr each way to bowl at bowlero avondale because of the new GM over there.. he has that place in great lane condition and its always a full house which speaks volumes.. for us its more than bowling it becomes a bond with the staff and this place in the last 6 months has definitely created that for us in so many ways... we love this place... read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. The staff is unprofessional and RUDE! I paid for my lane and wasn't even asked which lane I played in and then they turned around and still charged my sister for my game even though I had already paid. The cashier didn't say sorry or show any type of empathy for overcharging. Both manager and cashier took zero accountability and the supposed "manager" was very rude and had a bad attitude. They seemed mad that we spoke up. We were able to get an up close and personal look at the horses, bulls, and vibes of what buckeye Arizona has to offer here. They have a concession stand where you can buy reasonably priced food while watching, as well as a plethora of open seating within the bleachers and high top tables. This was an eye opening new experience! Bull fighting and BBQ. Had so much fun, I just purchased tickets for bull riding! Parking was easy, though I thought I purchased it with my tickets and then paid again at the gate. Bathrooms were great, staff was kind, Box 7 seats were good, purchased Box 8 for the new event. With Arizona's heat, and from the mid-west, it did not feel hot at all in there. This is a venue that is great for kids and adults. Box seat mapping is difficult to read when reserving the seats so being there was good to see the layout.

They have a rewards program and run some really spectacular deals. They offer a date night during the month as well and think it would be a lot of fun to take my husband to in the near future. What I love about this place is that you can choose your own project. We all have different tastes and interests and it is fun to be able to have the choice to make something that fits your particular wants and needs. I look forward to going back!

The parking lot is shared with other businesses, and it's not large so I am going to suggest it can fill up quick. Experience: I stumbled upon Board and Brush Avondale thanks to my mom, and I couldn't be more grateful for her find! The owner is an absolute sweetheart, guiding us through the entire creative process. Choosing our own projects and the option to bring snacks and drinks made the experience even better. The atmosphere was lively and fun, and I was thrilled with how my project turned out.

They had two bathrooms which was nice and many room options. We got one of the harder escape rooms for a party of 7. We did the murder mystery room. I really liked the puzzles and riddles they had. It was very creative. The place is clean too. They gave you unlimited hints which was nice. Overall, I would recommend doing this escape room with friends.

We tackled the Scooby Doo room and I believe our game master was Kendall (sorry if that's not right). The room was tight with 6 people (including one power wheelchair) but not horrible. Some of the clues came across confusing- but we managed to escape in time. One thing that would be nice is a difficulty rating online for each room. Just so you know what's in store. Plus they give the coolest prize for escaping that I've ever seen! Room personalized wristbands. Bravo marketing team- we immediately wanted to collect them all!

Oh my gosh, what a bang for the buck and how much fun it was! Martha was the one who was super helpful in getting us checked in and destiny was our birthday party host. The birthday party included of course a super clean fun place for the kids to play along with goodie bags, so many pizzas and the dragon even came out to dance with the kids. Because I was not in charge of the birthday party I don't know many details of how convenient it was to put the party together, but being an attendee was so much fun and the staff was amazing. The pizza was actually super good too that part I was really impressed with as well.
