Wow. What a little gem of a restaurant in Five Forks. The reviews were mixed but we thought we would take a chance and I'm so glad that we did. Danny, the Bartender, was our waiter! He kept really busy managing all of the tables. We enjoyed our meals and looked the atmosphere of the place. We aren't here often but would certainly return!!

Here's Ernie. Not allowed on Patio.

Stopped by at lunch on a beautiful day. Nobody on the patio. So I stuck my head in the door and asked if Ernie and I could sit on the patio. The server I apparently interrupted cleaning under a table rudely told me that we were not welcome. Ernie, you see, is a dog. A very good dog, but NO dogs are allowed. And now we won't be back when we don't have Ernie. Or meeting our group for dinner. We live just down the street and are there regularly. No more.

Unfortunately we don't get food Italian food back home in NC and this hot the spot. We had a large group and the kids were able to get their food while we ate our appetizers. The wings got phenomenal and if you like bruschetta just get it. I'm not a fan of the cheese but everything just meshed so well in each bite. The salad with the vinaigrette was to literally die for. I ended up getting the chicken piccata for my meal and it was so much food. But worth every single bite. Our waiter made sure our drinks were filled and that the kids had kids on their cups which was a big bonus!!

Service was excellent and the lightly crushed Grouper da Vince was exceptional! Highly recommend Boba as they have an exceptional menu with brick oven pizza, broad range of pasta dishes and many tasteful entrees.

Bova has been in the area for several years yet this was the first time we came to eat here. It's on the corner of a ministrip which has Publix grocery store, a hair salon, an insurance office, a pet supply shop, and a few other on other side of grocery store possibly another restaurant and dry cleaner, not positive. So, there's ample parking and even outdoor seating. This reminds me of a sports bar but nicer since not as loud. There's a couple of TV's and even bar seating. You can see there's beer on tap along with bottles and wine options. I was here to have lunch with my son since he loves eating pizza and his dad has several food allergies, especially gluten and dairy, thus we figured we should enjoy it while he's away (it's the one food he misses most). When we looked online, the menu had mention less gluten; yet when we walked into Bova, there were signs stating gluten free dough! Hmm, something to consider as a treat in future. It was relatively late lunch 1:30 pm so not too busy. There was a table with a large party from what looked like same medical office, some folks at the bar, and other tables with older couples and mother and adult son, besides us. We were welcome to find any seats we wanted. There were booths filled and the only other open one had not been cleaned off so we took a table. The waitstaffs were all really chill and laid-back. When I was asked by yelp if this placed had WiFi, I did ask our waitress who gave us the password. We decided to order two 12" pizzas. Pizzas of that size ranged from $11-19. Lots of choices and could build your own. Son doesn't like veggies on his pizzas so we had the Meat Lover and BBQ Chicken. He also ordered a lemonade while I had a glass water bottle that I came in with, that I place my essential oils in. There's no price on the menu for drinks and was $1.99 pretty typical. She had automatically returned with a refill, but didn't come by that much, though with pizza, there's not much to follow-up with . . . We needed two boxes. Could have easily had just one. Both tasted great, crust very thin, toppings flavorful, especially the BBQ Chicken. Not that much chicken but the sauce grows on you to really liking it! There were other food menu options, meals, etc but we didn't bother looking at it. It's a really nice, casual place to eat. Cost a bit higher but you could totally split a pizza if desired. Pizzas are sliced to 6 vs 8. I liked the convenience of the place since we then were able to go grocery shopping and since we were full, didn't buy anything out of hunger. Leftovers are great! Good place to meet with groups or with another friend/partner. And if single, you can sit at bar or table and watch the TV.

First, I have no idea what these one star people are talking about!! This place has completely exceeded my expectations. Food was beyond amazing! And I'm Italian! We had the wings which were very large, crispy and mmmmm so good! Then we had a panini for dinner. It was very tasteful. I will definitely be coming back.

Order was for pizza Qty - 2 1 sausage / pepperoni 1 pepperoni/ mushroom Fantastic Thin crust Crust was flavorful Little bit too much flop to the crust but still very good Pepperoni and mushroom were both yummy Sausage was bland like almost every pizza place. Would be a huge upgrade if the sausage had more spice Sauce wasnt overly sweet so it was yummy Only gripe I'd have is it is a bit on the expensive side for pizza About $33 for 2 smallish pies Not so expensive that I would take away a star but yeah seems like it should be more like 14 or 15 each instead but now I'm sort of splitting hairs Pizza was yummy Side note Employees seemed to be careful due to coronovirus situation Big thank you for that!

We started with the focaccia, meatballs, and autumn vegetable panzanella. The focaccia is a must try! For entrees we got the Campanelle with pork ragu, spaghetti carbonara, and potato gnocchi. The kids enjoyed the kids' pizza and a marinara pasta. We finished with tiramisu to share. Everything was excellent. Bridgeway Station is beautiful and the decor in Tavola is beautiful! We will definitely be back soon with more family.

Not exactly la dolce vita. Thankfully, carbs save the day. Everything was house made. The handmade pasta was made with flour flown in from Italy! I had the casarecce which had light and well-balanced bacon and lemon flavors. My date had the the "whole" branzino, which despite described as "whole" came already de-boned and without the head. It was crispy, golden, and serving main character energy with its unique presentation. Frutti di mare was... there. I didn't think the flavors were anything to write home from Italy about. Though, the presentation was impeccable, I must admit. Whitney, our server, deserves a standing ovation! She was part waitress, part Italian food narrator, and made every dish sound like it had a backstory which honestly just elevates the whole experience. And the lemon cheesecake is worth saving room for. Flavors were bright, dreamy, and worth every calorie. My only regret is skipping the house-made focaccia.

We took our time settling in and started with the mozzarella and focaccia (so good!) and the meatball--because you can't visit an Italian place without the essentials. For our mains, we ordered the short rib ragu and the verde lasagna. The lasagna was especially memorable--you could really taste the fresh spinach, which gave it a light, refreshing flavor. To top it all off, the wonderful Mr. Flannegan came out to sing "Happy Birthday" and brought their amazing cannoli. Such a fun and memorable touch to an already fantastic meal!

It was very clean, and the atmosphere is one of its strongest assets. We sat outside overlooking Fluor Field, which made for a really enjoyable setting. The outdoor patio was comfortable, and the new awnings provided great shade, making it easy to relax even in the sun. Service was excellent from start to finish. Attentive, and professional. No complaints there at all. For drinks, I ordered a carajillo, which was very well done. The food is where things started to fall short. We began with the long hot stuffed peppers. The dish only comes with two peppers, so the portion felt a bit small. The sausage itself was decent, but it was severely lacking seasoning, and the sauce didn't add much to elevate it. The verde lasagna followed a similar trend. The pasta itself was clearly good quality, but the overall dish was underwhelming and lacking depth of flavor. The scallop dish was the best of what we tried. The scallops were cooked perfectly, the asparagus was fresh, and the risotto had a good texture. Unfortunately, even here, the dish still felt like it was missing seasoning and bold flavor, which was a recurring theme throughout the meal. Given the upscale setting and prime location, expectations are understandably higher and so are the prices. That said, the portion sizes and overall flavor didn't quite justify the cost in my opinion. Overall, a great location with excellent service and ambiance, but the food needs more seasoning and depth to truly match the setting and price point.
