Inside, Boudoir is absolutely packed full of lingerie, hosiery and nightwear. Everywhere you turn you will be greeted by bulging racks and shelves. And you know what? They actually have some nice stuff. Plus, the owner was really friendly and helpful. Yes, the focus is definitely on the plainer undies, with all sorts of basic bras on sale from just £4.99. They also have a large selection of very big pants, if you're thinking about doing it Bridget Jones style! They do have a couple of really pretty pieces though, so it's definitely worth having a bit of a hunt round if you're after something a little fancier. They have lots of nightwear, including some really nice cosy dressing gowns (yes, I did fancy one myself). You'll also find stockings, socks and tights.

They sell themselves as "corset specialists", and by that it's not the kind of explicitly sexual lingerie that turns up in sex shops, or the gregarious Whiplash Trash. The corsets they sell in here are a bit more tasteful, and with their sexy but delicate lace up backs they are sizzling. They do free sizing sessions in here to see what corset would exactly suit your figure. Whether you go for bold reds and blacks to pastel colours suited for weddings and soft, girly outfits, they are a surefire winner. Prices start at around £90 which I would say is very reasonable for such quality garments.

I must add my sales associate was very nice and I did not sense any unwarranted pressure to buy more. I was debating on which of my two favourite sets to buy and she told me the most practical solution, which I appreciated. I bought the 'classic' piece, because the colorful, less versatile, statement piece would probably go on sale at the end of the season. The changing rooms are a little small but they are tucked in so that no-one ever need see you trying on your bra. Once being fitted (and they suggest a quick check before buying any bra) you are shown a selection of styles and prices, and never forced into buying the dear ones!! The boutique itself is very fun and flirty and the window displays always show the most glamorous of lingerie and are styled with accessories such as feather boas. The bras are not cheap. You'd be lucky to get anything for under £50 but if you are large in the breast department then I think it is worth investing in a couple of bras made by companies which specialize in supporting bigger boobs. Curves and Lace do sell practical white t-shirt bras, but I say if you're spending over £50 on a bra, indulge in something that makes you look and feel gorgeous!

Both of my friends who made these recommendations were of ample boobage, probably a D or E cup at least. I am a humble B cup, which was 2 sizes below what this boutique offered! Curves and Lace only caters for females with larger breasts, a voluptuous D to a back aching K. It is a godsend to my pals who just can't pick up a £4 bra from Primark because of their measurements. The bras are not cheap, not by a long shot, and you can expect to pay in excess of £35-50 for one. However, you get what you pay for, and these bras are high quality. The staff are lovely, I would actually love to work there or even design underwear for them. The underwear is great quality, you'll find everything in this store, from sexy to girly bras and knickers, to silky nightwear, or even those beautiful soft pijamas. When I am in the store I turn into Rebecca Bloomswood from Confessions of a Shopaholic, my heart (almost) melts. Also, the layout of the shop is brilliant. I love the fact you can just open up little drawers and find your own size, or just get the assistant to do it for you, if you're that lazy. The changing room I am usually in had an old fashioned telephone, which you can use if you would like any assistance. You can also change the light by yourself. It's genious.
