I feel like I need some sassy music in the background while I write this ;) If you like lingerie,…read moreyou need to peruse Agent Provocateur. If you don't like lingerie, you should also peruse Agent Provocateur and it may change your mind...although the prices will make your jaw drop. The pieces in here are lovely designs, made of fine fabrics, and high quality, intricate stitching. They look fabulous and make body parts plump and tight in the proper places. The store itself can be a bit intimidating. There is a really big security guy that greets you at the door. Under the surface he is a big teddy bear, but you don't know that as you walk in. The store is small and there most likely won't be too many people in there, so it can feel a bit awkward looking at all the sassy frilly stuff in front of a sales associate and the lingerie guard LOL! I must add my sales associate was very nice and I did not sense any unwarranted pressure to buy more. I was debating on which of my two favourite sets to buy and she told me the most practical solution, which I appreciated. I bought the 'classic' piece, because the colorful, less versatile, statement piece would probably go on sale at the end of the season. This is NOT where you go for your everyday nude t-shirt bra or your comfy whitey tighties. Agent Provocateur is where you find salacious undergarments. Some of the pieces are technically not even undergarments and meant to be part of your outfit peaking out, or making a statement "I am wearing something sexy." Whether you want to be sexy for someone or simply feel sexy under your clothes for yourself, you will surely find something at AP.

Not for the feinthearted, they have a wide range of lingerie, ranging from the cute, to the obscene. Almost like a very highend version of Ann Summers, but in a completely different, almost classy, league, it offers a range of 'seduction' accessories also - whips, paddles, garters, etc, etc. Saucy, huh? The staff are also experts in their field, and know the exact location of everything in the shop. So, whatever you're into, you'll find here.

Ok so you'd have to swing by Tesco for the milk but everything else you can find in this store. I came across this store accidentally (honest) and I thought, aww Silks and Secrets that sounds sweet, oh how wrong I was! Now I am not one to judge anyone's sexual preferences but ooft it would make your eyes water! This place is cheap and nasty but hey, if cheap and nasty tickles your giblets then you'll love it!

Instead, it is seedy, cheap, nasty and, even a little bit, intimidating. However, if this is the kind of stuff you are into then this shop is the place for you. It has a large range of stock in various sizes and colours which seem to be priced reasonably (I admit, my googling session tonight has been a little strange...). The staff seem pleasant enough and allow you plenty of space to browse. This was something I especially appreciated. So, if you're into some different sexual stuff pop in. If you reckon Silk and Secrets is all pretty underwear (like I first thought) it's maybe best to avoid going any further than the street.

I have ridiculous breasts. They cause me no end of trouble! I am a size 28D......28.......D...That…read moredoesn't even make sense! Not many stores sell lingerie for people like me who have teeny tiny backs but normal sized fun bags. Marks and Spencer's do a size 28D in two of their lingerie ranges and they are very nice but they are lacking that certain je ne sais quoi. Sometimes you have those special occasions, you know THOSE nights when you need something special. Something which says TAKE ME, TAKE ME NOW!! Ahem. For these occasions I go to Curves and Lace. Curves and Lace sell bras in a back size 28 to 48 and cup size D to K. K, wowza! They have bras from all the big name, big boobie brands such as Freya and Fantasie. The boutique itself is very fun and flirty and the window displays always show the most glamorous of lingerie and are styled with accessories such as feather boas. The bras are not cheap. You'd be lucky to get anything for under £50 but if you are large in the breast department then I think it is worth investing in a couple of bras made by companies which specialize in supporting bigger boobs. Curves and Lace do sell practical white t-shirt bras, but I say if you're spending over £50 on a bra, indulge in something that makes you look and feel gorgeous!

I went into Curves and Lace today when I was on a slight shopping spree, as I needed a backless,…read morestrapless silicone bra thing to wear underneath a backless dress for a dinner I am attending next weekend. A couple of my pals had told me to go in here, because whilst they have some lovely lacy and pretty numbers, they also stock quite a few variations on the sort of industrial strength booby holders I was searching for. I walked in, took a look around, and immediately realised I was in the wrong place. The bras were lovely; loads of nice colours, lacy, silky or cotton, with matching panties or thongs, but this wasn't my concern. As I picked up a particularly nice purple lace number, I realised that I could fit my head into each of the cups...twice, probably. Both of my friends who made these recommendations were of ample boobage, probably a D or E cup at least. I am a humble B cup, which was 2 sizes below what this boutique offered! Curves and Lace only caters for females with larger breasts, a voluptuous D to a back aching K. It is a godsend to my pals who just can't pick up a £4 bra from Primark because of their measurements. The bras are not cheap, not by a long shot, and you can expect to pay in excess of £35-50 for one. However, you get what you pay for, and these bras are high quality. Perfect for those of you blessed with an ample bosom!

I just fit in at the small end of Bravissimo's scale, being fairly slim, but with a proportionally large cest (sigh...it's a hard life) so I find some of their bras a bit too extremely controlling for me. During the summer, they do a range of supportive-but-still-cool swimwear, and a small range of clothes for those of us that have that annoying gaping shirt buttons problem. Sorted.

For years, I've had to go for plain ones because the other option was full cup granny bras. Horrifying! Lingerie shopping has often been a vastly traumatising experience, best avoided until absolutely necessary. And then Bravissimo opened up and the world was a brighter, lacier place! Not only were they able to size me properly and fit me with the first comfortable bra I can remember wearing since puberty, but they actually have a nice and colourful selection! Amazing! Unfortunately once you get to anything above a C-cup, braziers don't come cheap. They start at about £20, but tend to average around £30 - £40. Sad for the budget, but you do pay for quality (gone are the days when Debenhams bras would burst and stab me with underwire). Bravissimo have their own line of lingerie, but also have stock from designers such as Masquerade who make some very pretty bras and knickers. The service level from the ladies in this shop is just amazing. You can make an appointment for a fitting, so you are rarely kept waiting. Even if you just want to be seen to as soon as possible, they always give you waiting times, and there are plenty of comfy seats while you wait. The fitter will ask you what style and colour you're looking for, and will bring back a selection after the initial sizing to try on. It's always reassuring that they bring back more than one size in the different styles, as manufacturers seem to differ in their measurements. Additionally, the fitters really put you at ease, and always ask if you want them to leave the room while you change bra. Some other places can leave you feeling a wee bit awkward. I've been frequenting this shop since it opened, and with this level of service and good selection, it's unsurprising that they'll continue to see me come through their doors (hopefully) for years to come. If you've ever had trouble with your undergarments, these ladies can sort you out!

I was extremely well looked after from the minute I arrived, and the salon room was clean, well decorated and very relaxing! Now, I will not go into details about the actual treatment (there are some aspects of girly grooming that really need to remain a secret!) but the hot wax felt strangely nice, and while it wasn't entirely pain-less, it was certainly nicer than my past waxing experiences! After my treatment I was given after-care advice, and they followed up with an e-mail to make sure I knew what I was doing. I liked it so much I booked my return visit on the spot! In addition to the pampering side, the Boutique also has a wonderful lingerie/swimwear shop, and carries a range of very beautifully designed 'toys' which would look more at home on a stylish coffee table, than in the bottom drawer of you bedside table! The lingerie, products and salon treatments are more expensive than I would normally pay, however, the warmth, friendliness and professionalism of the staff and general gorgeousness of the Boutique will keep me coming back again and again!

This is seriously gorgeous lingerie and they are high end labels: Pleasure State, Stella McCartney, Fauve, Mimi Holiday as well as Fantasie and more. It's the lingerie that lures me in and they cater for all sizes which is fab and not always found on the high street. You do pay more for these brands but the quality and service is excellent. If you are larger in the bust department, then this is the place to come for some seriously sexy undies. Sarah, the owner can provide fittings if required and if you don't see your size then just ask as it may be in the stock room. A good range of bra size swimwear, as well as beauty treatments is also available. The sale is great - a proper sale with fab discounts and after the weekend, my bank account is pretty depleted. What's not to love!?
