It wasn't THAT bad, although for certain pairs it's still extortion. Sole sell the popular, trendy brands such as Ugg, Converse, Blowfish and Diesel. They also do some brands which aren't my thing like Fred Perry, but seemingly they try to cater for a spectrum of tastes. They have Birkenstocks for a hefty fee. They look comfy, like a few of their brands, but I don't really see what the attraction is to brown, bulky shoes. If you're going to spend a lot of money on a pair of tootsie warmers, go all out and get something more adventurous. You might as well if you're flashing the cash! Regarding this shop, I'm not as appalled as Stuart is - probably because I was expecting the prices to be through the roof. Shoes will be longer lasting in here than in Primark, so I may have to argue with Mr B and say that they will be better for your feet and worth paying out to. But as has been rightfully outlined, shoes at a tenner have largely served me longer than some of the brands they have in here. Converse have a particularly bad track record for getting holey and eroded, much as I love Chucks. It's got Soul, but it's not Super Bad.

After…read morereceiving excellent customer service and picking up an excellent picnic set bargain I've been singing it's praises ever since. I was intrigued as to how the branch in the St. James Centre measured up and so I popped in for a browse. To my delight, they still had the excellent sale on where many items have as much as 70% off! That is my kind of sale! Although much smaller than it's Princes Street counterpart it still has a varied selection of stock and everything is very well organised. It was a bit cramped though, especially as there was a woman in shopping with the biggest pram I've ever seen for the tiniest baby. They had an excellent range of camping stools with polka dots on them and I was very tempted to buy a few as they were the exact match for my picnic set. After realising that I'd have to carry them about Edinburgh all day I decided against it and instead went for a camping torch in the shape of a bumble bee. Excellent. The queue was quite large but instead of getting flustered, the staff were very friendly and I heard them giving pretty much every customer advice on how to get the best out of their purchase and how to keep it in it's optimum condition for longer.

Bravado is such a fabulous lingerie and underwear store…read more It is situated on the busy and bustling Morningside Road in Edinburgh and so it is very easy to reach it as it is close to the city centre. They specialise in ladies underwear and they offer a huge selection of different sizes, styles and shapes of lingerie. Bravado also sells swimwear, nightwear and dressing gowns. The staff in the store are incredibly warm, inviting and highly knowledgeable about their stock. Bravado do bra fittings which are very accurate and the staff are happy to recommend which styles of shapes of underwear they think would suit your shape best. Bravado also sell maternity swimwear and underwear, as well as specially made mastectomy bras which can be very hard to come by. The range of underwear which Bravado stocks is quite amazing and it is all very reasonably priced considering how specially made all the items. Bravado is definitely the place I go to for fantastic fitting underwear and nightwear - I cannot recommend it more highly. GO!

The clothes are all of an excellent quality, and so they are pretty pricey, with dresses costing around £400. There are frequently sales going on this store which is a great opportunity to buy a bargain.

Diane Von Furstenburg, Herve Leger, Red Valentino, Lulu Guinness and M Missoni drape their delightful features alongside a host of other labels. Last time I visited the shop, my eyes were hypnotised by a silver, sequined dress upstairs, crafted by an Australian designer, obviously to exist purely so that people who are poor at saving money, like me, could marvel at its beauty, then have their heart broken by the price tag.

They don't honor online prices, either. Overall good experience and glad to be informed on how pricing works. I am a big fan of Sweaty Betty and I've been donating my wages here for a few weeks now…read more Firstly, I was on the hunt for a long sleeved, bright coloured running top. One of my fellow running clubbers had purchased one here last year so I went hunting and found myself a suitably neon pink version which washes great. Then I found out about the free yoga class every week which I've been attending and loving so then I've bought new yoga pants and a new vest which is super long. Both wash great. The yoga classes are great - Jenna from Meadowlark takes them and is lovely, correcting my alignment and being very encouraging to everyone at the class. I am now a convert to SB! So why not 5*? The sizing, plain and simple. Cut pretty neat - curves and breasts then pretty much in XL category instead of normal M which is never great. I also didn't bother to come here for a yoga bra, preferring to try (and succeed) at Lululemon. So I do love SB, staff are great, I love the yoga class and I'll buy more stuff here (their long body length for stuff is great for me) but the sizing means it is a 4* review.

The clothing is good quality and comes in great bright colours that generally match each other well. The leggings don't go see through when you bend over and the vest tops are long line so don't expose your middle when you do downward dog. On the one occasion I did have an issue with an item it was exchanged without question. The store is friendly and the staff are welcoming with great advice on sizing and suitability of items for different activities. The sizing can be a bit inconsistent with some styles needing to size down from normal. They hold weekly free yoga and Pilates classes in the store that are booked via the website, which are taught by great teachers with a great supportive feel to the classes. It can be a little expensive for sports wear but it lasts really well and they have sales with up to 50% off at least four times a year. If you are a qualified fitness instructor then you can get an extra 20% off including in the sale, you just need to show proof of your qualifications in store for it to be added to the system.

This store always has a sale on. I am amazed by the constantly full sale rack. It does mean you can usually pick up some bargains as well as some cheap jewellery. The layout of this store is what I like about. With big sweeping staircases the shop is divided up and feels a little more spacious. The staff can be a bit grumpy or too busy chatting about gettin' steamin', but most shop assistants are like that these days.

On to the new stuff: frilly, pink and glittery, Miss Selfridge sell pretty things. And I would have to agree with Steph - this one is bigger than the Buchanan branch in Glasgow. It's also better organised, with clearer distincations made between former and casual attire. The staff were nice in here and I got some serious bargains. Miss Selfridge always come up trumps with sales, and a whole part of the shop was dedicated to just that. I managed to walk out with four items of gorgeous jewellery for 4 pounds! It almost felt like robbery, I was well chuffed. I still prefer Topshop to Miss Selfridge but considering they're both owned by Arcadia, I'd recommend it. This store in particular is a good 'un.
