I am not local so flew into town to get my teeth evaluated + my gums grafted.....he proved to totally be worth the effort as the level of care he provided truly is exceptional. I've gotten multiple gum grafts previously from three other periodontists. Dr. Do's work not only provided the most coverage, but it held up the best and he was able to gain a teeny bit of height!! My previous understanding is that it was impossible to gain and maintain increased gum height. It was a lengthy procedure as Dr. Do took on the challenge of performing the graft on the lingual side (challenging angle to see in the first place) and I had scar tissue that made it harder to graft. During this time, Dr. Do was laser focused, maintained communication so I was aware of what he was working on, and checked in through out to ensure I was not in pain or didn't need a break. I cannot recommend Dr. Do enough and only wish I had someone like him for all my other medical needs!

I had all uppers taken out about 5 months ago as over a long time, extensive bridgework was failing. My regular Dentist is fine for the 'normal stuff,' and he had recommended the Oral Surgeon who did removal. Afterwards, neither gave me much confidence in their expertise when my gums did not seem to be healing. Quite frankly, the whole process was way more invasive and slow healing than I anticipated. After research, I made an appointment with Dr. Ho....he emailed me necessary medical history type, was quite amenable when I screwed that up a bit. Appointment was very solid, both he and his assistant were great. They actually listened while I conveyed my 'story.' He did a very comprehensive exam, took a large # of photos and took a lot of time in explaining his findings. He also gave me some small 'cleaning utensil' type brushes to help in daily brushing. He said the whole process can take a year before the gums, jaw etc. are fully functional....and I was progressing nicely. I came away feeling like all my questions and worries were addressed...that was very important. Also, and equally important, he (and his assistant) were quite diligent, took time, and both seem like very nice people. Highest Recommendation, No Doubt.

Dr. Singer was not only the much-needed aesthetic-perfectionist-prosthodontist that I needed, but also a phenomenal "General Contractor" of my entire dental makeover plan. (He oversaw the work of my general dentist and periodotist.) My entire journey was about two years long, during which time my trips to Bernardo Center Dentistry were a delight. Pure prostodontists, NOT cosmetic dentists are hard to find. I am so glad he is here surving the greater San Diego area. I noticed a review of teeth not being white and want to address that directly from 40 years of experience with 4 different iterations of my teeth. There is much to consider when adding artificial teeth to existing teeth. Depth, opacity, shape, indentations, angle, and more can all affect the LOOK of teeth in natural lighting, fluorescent/LED lighting, shade, stage lights, and more. The only way to get a completely NATURAL and BEAUTIFUL look is to have teeth that have a uniform appearance with EXISTING teeth. The mistake so many dentists make is creating teeth that do not look consistent when moving from natural to artificial. In this, Dr. Singer's skill is UNMATCHED. I poured through the before/after photos at his office before making the decision to go with him. I lived with the dental drama from a childhood bike accident for 40 years. I don't think about it any more. You would NEVER know anything happened because of Dr. Singer's work. I could not be more pleased. He is the BEST. You can pay for an inexpensive "Cadillac Smile" from a cosmetic dentist, but if you want a "Mercedes Smile", find a prosthedontist who really knows what they are doing. Fast forward several years later and after several attempts to find the right orthodontist and oral surgeon, in addition to having the insurance to approve and pay for these procedures, I decided to have braces and oral surgery. This process started in 2019. After about a year and a half of braces, I was referred to Dr. Tafilis by my primary care physician. Dr. Tafilis was fair, upfront, and explored all the risks with my procedures. He first performed an upper jaw surgery expanding my upper jaw to align my lower jaw. There were no complications with this surgery. After another 3 years of braces, it was time to complete my double jaw surgery in the summer of 2024. The surgery went smooth however unfortunately there were some issues with my jaw post surgery. This risk was accepted as my case was usually challenging as I had a prior surgery in my youth. What was suppose to be only a month of having my jaw wired turned into almost 5 months. For privacy reasons I will not go into details, however, I will say Dr. Tafilis did not give up and saw to that my care was not complete until the issues from my surgery were corrected. He provided me with his personal cell phone number, checked in on me regularly, by text or phone. On Thanksgiving of 2024, I finally ate my first solid food meal and in Jan of 2025 I got my braces off. I can't Thank Dr. Tafilis and his staff enough for the life changing benefits that his procedures have provided me. After years of not being able to confidently smile, chew my food correctly, and have breathing difficulties, I am so great full for him and his team. The verdict is out... in the end - (in my opinion) Dr. Adel Tawfilis helped his peer get away with…read moreseveral thousand dollars in injuries when she planned to "extract a single tooth" and replace it with an implant, only to realize mid extraction that she screwed up and that the 'single tooth' was in fact attached as one of four anchors to a bridge. Instead of doing the right thing, his peer continued as if she didn't make a mistake, destroying the bridge, damaging several teeth and omitting facts from medical records. Perhaps his peer was unable to find a willing 'expert' out of almost 7,500 oral surgeons in Los Angeles. Fortunately for her, Dr. Tawfilis in San Diego provided his "expert opinion" that aligned with her "single tooth" false mantra. Dr. Tawfilis provided his expert opinion ignoring facts, conditions and injuries and provided his expert opinion that his peer extracted a single tooth: ignoring the fact it was one of four natural tooth anchors to a bridge; and ignoring the fact that a surgeon is not qualified to treat (or act as an expert witness for) the condition, or injuries that his peer created. Nonetheless, he appears to have put his blinders on and provided an "expert" report that his peer "extracted a tooth" within the standard of care - nothing more, nothing less: yes, she grabbed a tooth, yes, she yanked on a tooth; yes, that tooth came out; and yes, it was within the standard of care for an oral surgeon to do that. Or as I would say in his shoes... "that's my story and I'm sticking to it." From my shoes I would say... I have the evidence and am willing to share it. So, if Dr. Tawfilis suggests a procedure or perhaps gives advise - if I were his patient - I would think... "what is he NOT telling me" and/or "is he telling me the truth." Birds of a feather stick together.

Everyone was attentive, polite and professional. I especially appreciated Vanessa as she explained everything thoroughly and was extremely kind. Let's face it, most of us don't enjoy our dental appointments. But I can honestly say, I not only had very little pain, I have TMJ which is a real pain when my mouth is open for extended amounts of time, after the novacaine faded there wasn't any pain either. I've never had any kind of root canal without pain, let alone a second one over an old one that had infection. Of course I ran to Yelp to find a provider that could see me sooner. I decided to call Pomerado Endodontics based on the great reviews and despite the negative reviews- hey! there's always 2 sides to every story.. My first interaction was with Lily- she was so kind and did everything in her power to get me in as soon as possible for a consult. She sent me all the paperwork to fill out and they were able to fit me in the very next day. The initial appointment consult was fast and efficient. Dr. Kenny was able to find the problem and explained his plan to make it better. I booked the soonest appointments to get started. The second appointment was a root canal. They made sure I was numb and got started right away. I've had one before and I couldn't believe I was in and out within an hour. The third appointment happened 2 days later-surgery to save a tooth that had a failed root canal. I've never had this procedure done before so I didn't know what to expect but his team explained everything thoroughly. Despite all the work- I managed to survive with minimal bleeding and swelling. My last appointment for this series was to remove the sutures which was just fine. I'm about a little over a week post-op and I feel great.
