Dr. Rubinoff and this practice were amazing from start to finish! The staff is so kind, helpful, and informative. Dr. Rubinoff is thorough and also has a great sense of humor, which makes the appointments enjoyable. The improvement in my gums after my graft surgery is unbelievable! I'm so grateful for the care and professionalism of this team. Without a doubt, I was in the best hands! read more

Everyone was so nice and helpful, I felt like they cared that I was there. Dr. Rubinoff explained everything in great detail and had a wonderful, caring demeanor. I made an appointment for a follow up appointment next year. read more

Everyone was extremely nice and easy to work with. He was easy to understand and went through the diagnostic imagery with me. They were also very accommodating to my daughter who had to come with me to one of the appointments and enjoyed being a part of things. read more

Since I have also run a practice, I think that I am uniquely qualified to write an accurate review. This is a terrific place to receive care! Barbara was especially helpful, kind and knowledgeable about my specific concerns, and Dr. Rubinoff was a pleasure to interact with due to his knowledge, candor, experience, and especially, his unbiased review of my case before he heard what others had recommended, and his understanding of his own limitations for my specific problem. I so appreciated his taking much time to help me understand what the ramifications of my issues were, whether I received treatment or if I decided otherwise. Unfortunately, I am really a surgical case, and Dr. Rubinoff couldn't offer me another option, but I so appreciated his help in understanding what was necessary. I really wish I could have remained an active patient under this care but my physician husband was also very impressed and will absolutely be a patient in the future. This practice really was spectacular, and that's such a rarity these days. read more

I came in for a routine cleaning and I got my usual cheerful welcome. Arleen was my oral hygienist and this was my first time with her. She was so pleasant and conscientious, but most importantly--this lady knows her stuff! She had an answer to every one of my questions. Plus, she COMPLIMENTED my teeth. The reason why that mattered so much is because I have been making myself spend more time on my daily dental care. This may sound nerdy but that bit of acknowledgement has encouraged me to keep up the good work! read more

2021 he was pulling a scam with another dentist. Went to my insurance. He tried to overturn to complain. I had documents of proof and all documents were turned into insurance. It went to the top where mediation had to happen between my insurance and a 3rd party dentist investigation. He lost, I won. I got money back from their office. The end. read more

Just had my follow up for my first periodontal procedure with Dr Rubinoff. So far I have been very satisfied with the work and staff. Would definitely recommend him. read more

I had my surgical periodontal treatment in early of June, and it has been a great experience with Dr. Rubinoff and his team. I am not a native speaker, they patiently listen to my questions and explain every detail to me. Their bill is clear, no hidden cost, everything has a detail breakdown. Their team is probably the most efficient team I have ever seen. I was very worried about this surgery due to the pandemic, I am a cautious person (I even don't go in person grocery shopping for half years already), but I believe they are professional, and they prove themselves that it is safe to have a periodontal surgery during this time. They have all the protection procedures: masks required, online survey prior office visit, temperature check before entering clinic, hand sanitizer everywhere, Dr. and his assistants wear PPE. Their assistants are thoughtful, holding every door for me to avoid touching the handle, and give me hand sanitizer when I enter and exit any room. I feel very safe and comfortable for all visits these months. read more

Am very thankful to have been referred to this office. I appreciate the calm demeanor and presence of Dr Rubinoff and the staff. They were prompt in scheduling me, easy to work with, professional, kind and really put me at ease. Will come back once a year for gum health and will also refer him to my husband and other friends who are in need of these services! read more

Doctor Rubinoff is a very talented periodontist! He went above and beyond recently during the Coronavirus pandemic and opened his office to look at a painful tooth, although not something he could treat he called and found me a specialist that got me in that day and solved my problem! read more

Let me start off by saying I've had more than my share of dental issues starting from early childhood. Tetracycline discoloration of adult teeth. Poorly located adult teeth that needed gum removal to drop down, baby teeth that wouldn't come out, impacted wisdom teeth removal, teeth that crack and fall apart, hereditary gum recession that started in my twenties. You name it. I've had several periodontal surgeries performed by Dr. Rubinoff over the past 20 years. First I had four quadrants of gum grafting in early 2000's, then last year laser surgery due to the effects of faulty veneers (put on by a different dentist) followed by another graft. And oh yeah, a benign gum callous removal caused by Invisalign trays. I got a second opinion before the laser surgery by a periodontist in a swanky new office with piped in spa music, a huge tea bar, and overly friendly staff, and was told there was nothing they could do for me. Imagine! Dr. Rubinoff has always been considerate and thorough with his explanations of the work as well as the billing. He and his staff have always worked with me to determine the best timing and most cost effective treatment course of action. The office and equipment is always clean, organized and well-equipped. The quality of the prep care, his work, and post operative care are impeccable! He has high standards for the results he wants to achieve and it shows. Now I see him every six months alternating with my routine dental cleaning. My hygienist is prompt, thorough and very solicitous of my comfort and follow-up. The office staff are professional and thorough. I have always felt that Dr. Rubinoff genuinely cares for me as a patient. I have the utmost confidence in his work, the process, and the end result. I never hesitate to refer him to anyone. read more

Let me start by saying I have had a difficult dental year (see my review of the villains at Del Sur Ranch Dental for details) that started with a cracked tooth, root canal, failed crown, and ultimately a referral to Dr. Rubinoff for a crown lengthening procedure. I found Dr. Rubinoff and his assistant Antonella to be professional, competent and even funny, which I find very helpful when under stressful conditions. The crown lengthening is a serious surgical procedure with stitches, and follow up, but when I consider the alternative was having to get a dental implant, this procedure was well worth it to keep my natural tooth. My cost-share from insurance was explained up front, they took care of the billing, and it was accurate. I felt Dr. Rubinoff did the right amount of follow up, I didn't feel like I was being up-sold at all, and each of his office staff was friendly and respectful both on the phone and in the office. I like that he specializes in only a few procedures, so I felt he was highly competent and experienced. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends. read more

I recently had a surgical procedure done to correct a receding gumline condition below my front teeth. Two of my three sisters had similar surgery done years ago. One told me the experience was so horrible that she'd rather die than go through it again... yes, she was exaggerating a bit, but she said the procedure was truly horrible and painful. So I put off the surgery for a few years, until I got a referral from a friend for Dr. Craig Rubinoff. I scheduled an appointment to have an examination. Upon arrival at his Poway office, near the corner of Poway Road and Pomerado Road (he recently moved his practice from Rancho Bernardo to Poway), I was greeted by a very friendly office staff. Dr. Rubinoff and his assistant, Antonella, spent at least 45 minutes conducting a very thorough exam of what should be done to fix my receding gumline condition. Dr. Rubinoff explained what the procedure would entail, and that he uses a laser instead of a scalpel for parts of the procedure, which reduces post-op pain and speeds the healing process. Dr. Rubinoff and Antonella made me feel very comfortable that things would go well, so we scheduled the surgery for a date and time that was convenient for me. The procedure went off without a hitch. The first couple days post-op, some pain and discomfort was present, but by the third day the pain had virtually gone away. There was, of course, some numbness and discomfort. My diet for the first week consisted of juices, protein shakes, and soft foods. By the second week, I was back to a fairly normal diet, but still avoided hard, crunchy foods. The the third week, I was eating anything I wanted. I've been to two post-op checkups, and Dr. Rubinoff assures me that the healing process is going as it should be. It's been six weeks since the surgery, and everything feels completely normal, almost as if the procedure hadn't taken place. Kudos to Dr. Rubinoff and his staff! I highly recommend his services to anyone who needs dental or periodontal work. Check out his website, topgum.com (he's a Navy guy, get it?) for more info on his services. read more

I would highly recommend Dr. Rubinoff and his entire staff! Not only are they extremely professional, they made me feel completely comfortable the entire process. Excellent care for gum surgery with extensive follow up and optional laser therapies. Professional staff and service

Never again. I can show you the missing front teeth, thanks to him. Fortunately I found a laser perio guy outside of RB that did good work.

I wish i could give this office zero stars. The office to the doctor are very unprofessional. When i went into the office for the first time and filled out their paperwork, the dental assistance would transfer the information to a handwritten chart. By the time that the doctor came in and was looking at the notes that the assistant put down on the chart, he got upset and was telling her how she messed up and didn't do it right and asked for one of the seasoned assistant to come in to help out with charting and looking at my mouth. I felt so uncomfortable and felt bad for the new person. Once my appointment was over, i left and never looked back. read more

A big thank you to Dr. Rubinoff and his excellent staff for the care they have provided to us these last few years. Dr. Rubinoff is a skilled periodontist who knows his way around gums! I have been under Dr Rubinoff's care for 12 years. He came highly recommended by my primary dentist. Dr. Rubinoff accurately diagnosed my gum disease and has provided consistently excellent periodontal procedures when needed along with precise and thorough checkups for ongoing maintenance reviews. He is personable with a great sense of humor and I look forward to seeing him. His office staff and dental hygienists are also top quality and like Dr. Rubinoff they also take sincere interest in their patients. Although I've moved to Temecula I've maintained Dr. Rubinoff as my Periodontist - he is worth the extra drive. read more

After being a patient of Dr. Rubinoff's for over 18 years, I am very disappointed with how rudely I was treated by the receptionist (name starts with "K"). Dr. Rubinoff is professional and knows his business, but unfortunately the constant upselling became very annoying and ultimately his lack of customer service in the end made me realize that I need to look elsewhere where my business is more valued/appreciated. Very shortsighted approach to customer service. read more

This was my first time having Gingival Graft Surgery or knowing anything about it. I am so happy that Dr. Rubinoff and his entire staff had the patience with all my questions, and I had many questions. They had all the pre-op instructions and post-op instructions all in writing and easy to follow. Both times I called the office before the surgery, besides helping me understand what I needed to do, they assured me everything would be fine. Dr. Rubinoff was very thorough with my post-op visits and letting me know how I was doing and what to continue to do for a successful result. After seeing how well this surgery went, my son is considering having this same procedure done next year. I would recommend Dr. Rubinoff to anyone needing a periodontist. read more

I am currently undergoing a lower front teeth implant procedure with Dr. Rubinoff. I am a 69 year old male who has had various dental procedures in the past. Dr. Rubinoff came with excellent recommendations. His initial evaluation was very extensive including complete x-rays and individual tooth/gun/jaw examination. Included in this evaluation was a complete medical, dental and medication history. His assistant worked in conjunction with him in collecting this information. Dr. Rubinoff"s front staff made contact with my current and previous general dentists and coordinated insurance billing. Prior to the extraction appointment, I was fully advised of the implant procedure, the procedure costs and given prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medication. During this appointment, molds were taken of my teeth for the preparation of a "stay plate" (temporary teeth) that would be placed after the extraction of my effected teeth. Dr. Rubinoff has provided my general dentist with written updates. I was fully prepared for the next appointment. The extraction went very smoothly with little discomfort. The surgery was completed with the utmost concern for my comfort and well being. Dr. Rubinoff continually sought my input throughout the procedure to ensure I was doing OK. Since the extraction, I have seen by Dr. Rubinoff for two checkups to determine the healing status of the extraction site. Healing has been very quick with no repercussions, swelling or long term discomfort. The stay plate was adjusted during the first checkup and is very comfortable to wear. The doctor expects the implant to be placed in my lower jaw in the next few months. Dr. Rubinoff is extremely professional and maintains a very modern and well managed office. Unlike general dentists, his office is very private with individual "closed door" surgical rooms. His front and back staff conduct themselves in a very warm, professional and caring manner. Undergoing implant surgery is not a routine procedure. However, Dr. Rubinoff and his staff eliminated all my concerns and I was very confident, and remain so, in completing this procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Rubinoff for your periodontal/implant needs. He is a highly trained and very skilled periodontist. read more

Dr. Craig Rubinoff has provided me superb periodontal care over many years, fully resolving a significant case of gum disease and halting the related deterioration of bone tissue supporting all my teeth. I accidentally broke a tooth this past year, without hesitation relied on him for a dental implant, and have once again been richly rewarded with outstanding outcomes. His and his staff's dedication to excellence, strong work ethic, and very personable patient care attitude are unsurpassed in my experience, and I strongly recommend his services to all in need of these specialties. Dr. Rubinoff and his staff made me feel comfortable. This is a big deal, since I'm phobic. My mouth is in great hands.

I have had to have multiple (4) periodontal surgeries performed by Dr. Rubinoff over the last two years. The work was deemed necessary because of old age and the full set of metal braces I had put on as a teenager. As a RN, I am very particular about my healthcare providers. I was referred to Dr. Rubinoff two years ago by my General Dentist, Melissa Lipat from Oak Tree Dental. Dr Rubinoff and his entire surgical team are outstanding both in an out of the surgical suite. I also have been impressed by his office staff as well. Everyone who works in Dr. Rubinoff's office are "Top Flight" professionals who compliment his "Top Gum" office theme. If your Dentist tells you that you need dental surgery, this is the office to get your dental surgery done. You will be pleased with your results! read more

Dr. Rubinoff performed dental implant surgery on my front right tooth. He did an outstanding job. I was relaxed, in no pain, and was done in less than an hour and a half. Even though I had prescriptions for pain relief, ready if needed. They weren't at all. Not even an aspirin. My bone graph seems to be healing wonderfully. Dr.Rubinoff is incredible as is his entire team. read more

I was referred to Dr Rubinoff by my general dentist. I was aware I needed some work done a few years earlier by my previous dentist, who had explained the seriousness of my receding gum line. Needless to say, I was anxious about having the procedure done. This year, I went for a consultation and was planning on having the surgery done, however, due to family emergency was not able to for several months. The office staff kept in touch with me and would check in like once a month, which I greatly appreciated. Once things were pretty much back to normal...my nerves kicked back in. My husband who had more questions and concerns scheduled an appointment to have his questions and concerns answered. All went well and we were both satisfied. I have to say, I was so worked up for nothing! The procedure went well and I did not have any pain. Just a little, minor itsy bitsy discomfort from having work done in my mouth...BUT NOTHING LIKE I WAS ANTICIPATING!!! Honestly, after experiencing this procedure, I feel comfortable to recommend to anyone! Especially by Dr Rubinoff and his staff! I've had two other friends who had this procedure done by other offices but I know my experience was the best!!! Any questions or concerns you have, just ask...they are so accommodating and will answer your questions. PIECE OF CAKE!!! read more
