I have been going her for a couple years now. All the staff and Dr. Raz are really awesome.

I'm seeing Dr. Galya Raz for an implant post replacement. She and her team are nothing short of remarkable. My experience was gentle. My recovery was brief. They followed up as promised and gave me the best care I could ask for. I highly recommend them. read more

Have rarely in my life. Been to a dentist that is as thorough and professional. I have had other procedures done and the amount of checking back in and scheduling follow-up appointments to make sure everything's healing well has not been so thorough and professional. I would recommend them for any pedantic work that you need done and any of my friends that need it in the future. I will make sure they know about tooth Rock! read more

Dr. Raz is amazing! If you are a big chicken and scared of any dental procedures, go see Dr. Raz or any of the great doctors here. Dr Raz spent so much time with me, assuring me that everything would be great and that I would not feel a thing, and she was 100% right. This ended up being such an easy experience. I am the biggest baby in the world when it comes to dental stuff. I get anxious over even having a small filling at the regular dentist. I had to have an extraction, bone grafting, bone augmentation, gum grafting, and then 2 dental implants. It ended up being 4 procedures, and they all were easy, comfortable, and for the first time in my life, I was relaxed in a dental chair! Dr. Raz made sure to take great care of me, is excellent at her craft, and has broken my fear of dentistry forever because of the TLC from her and her staff! read more

The entire office is organized, professional and thorough. Dr. Johnson is very talented surgeon, efficient, did a masterful gum surgery and the instructions for aftercare were very well done. Shelly was especially helpful and supportive with all my questions. I recommend this office for whatever they think you need. They will take excellent care of you and make sure you get the best result you can. read more

I chose Dr. Raz because she was recommended to me and confident she could cover my exposed roots due to gum recession. The other highly recommended perio I consulted said he would just thicken the gum line where it stood but the roots couldn't be covered. I got my stitches out today and I'm so glad I chose Dr. Raz because my gums are thick and she was able to cover the roots! It's amazing! She's an expert at what she does and still drives up to UCLA once a month to teach a class. read more

So happy I found this practice. I had been frustrated with my old dental office for many years. When they messed up the pre-authorization for the gum graft I needed, it was the last straw. The periodontist at my new dental office wouldn't be able to get me in for 3 months. A colleague who has had extensive periodontal work recommended Tooth Rock to me. They got me in very quickly. By this time, I also needed a tooth extraction. I saw Dr. Steinberg and he was fantastic. He looked at my the x-ray's from my dentist, did a thorough exam and did an excellent job explaining my options and his recommendation. I was not thrilled about having to go through two procedures, but he completed by the gum graft and the extraction at the same visit. He and his team gave me all the aftercare instructions I needed and it seems I've had a very good result. The long drive out to Poway was worth it. Hopefully you don't need periodontal work but, for anyone who does, I highly recommend this office. read more

Dr. Johnston and his team are the very best! He has been working on my teeth for years, and I would not go to any other periodontist. Your dentist may request that you go to their Periodontist, but you don't have to do so--at least get a second opinion from Tooth Rock. read more

Dr. Steinberg is the best. He did an amazing job in separate procedures to remove a tooth and add an implant. The recovery was much faster than expected and I didn't have any pain. I'd highly recommend him and the tooth rock office made everything easy. read more

Have to give a big shoutout to Tooth Rock Periodontics. I have been treated with multiple dental issues over the last 15 years. First treated by Dr. Johnson and now with Dr. Raz. Recently lost a 40 year old bridge and needed 2 implants to restore the bridge and start anew. Dr. Raz performed the surgery over a 3 hr. procedure. She puts you in a calm sleep during surgery so there is no pain. After leaving went home took a Motrin before bed and woke up the next morning like nothing happened. It has been 2 weeks since surgery and my mouth is healing perfectly!!!! Also, the staff is awesome with great bed-side manners and smiles on their faces all the time. Give this office a chance, you won't regret it. You might go in with a frown (dentists can do that!) but you will be smiling after. read more

If you want expert care and service I highly recommend this team! Dr Raz and her crew are amazing! I have needed several surgeries over the years as well as ongoing hygiene care. I recently came in for a cleaning, and some bone placement around a tooth I was having trouble with. I had terrific customer service from the entire staff. Everyone very knowledgeable and pleasant. Minimal soreness, and I had a recent tissue check and everything looks fantastic. Picture is of me after I got my " good postup" eval. read more

Dr. Raz and her team are amazing. I have been putting off getting a very much needed gum graft for over 4 years. Dr. Raz did a fantastic job and the procedure and recovery were much easier than I thought they would be. Dr. Raz called me personally on the weekend to follow-up post operatively. Dr. Raz and her staff are skilled, conscientious, friendly and very responsive. I would highly recommend Dr. Raz to anyone needed periodontal work. read more

Dr. Johnson did a perfect job installing my implant. I wanted the best since I am highly paranoid about any medical or dental procedures. Also, it was one of my front teeth, which is highly visible when I talk or smile. He's the best and is a perfectionist. Not cheap but the best. He pays close attention to not just function, but also aesthetics. He also uses the best equipment and implant parts. His staff was also excellent. Others may be cheaper but an implant is quite invasive and there is always a risk of infection or rejection. As such, I wanted a highly experienced professional not some noob that just wants to make a quick buck at my expense. read more

Dr Johnson is the best oral surgeon and everyone in his office is fantastic to work with. His work alongside the work of my dentist, Dr Campbell, changed my life. Not only I have a healthy mouth now, but also a beautiful set of teeth. I smile broadly and give thanks to both Dr Johnson and Dr Campbell for giving me that. read more

I highly recommend Tooth Rock for your periodontal needs. The work is super professionally done and the service is great. The people are also very nice. As much as I dislike going to the dentist, the staff at Tooth Rock make it easier and more pleasant. Top notch all around! read more

I recently experienced the feeling that the one implant I had put in almost 17 years ago was becoming loose in it's fit. I went to my primary dentist and he confirmed my suspicion and referred me to Dr. Bruce Johnson. The staff was very helpful and professional in getting me all setup with the paper work that I would need completed ahead of my appointment before being seen by Dr. Johnson. The consultation went smoothly and I was given two options for removal because the implant had reached it's useful life. Before I left I had made my decision on what procedure to get done and the staff assisted me in getting all of the paperwork completed for the appointment and financing then and there. Much better than taking care of it after the fact, trust me. The removal appointment went extremely smoothly and I didn't experience any pain at all. They had also setup my post-op appointment for me to ensure that there wasn't any complications with the healing process. There wasn't and was checked out with a clean bill of health for this process. I would highly recommend anyone needing any type of periodontic work performed, make a call to this office for advise and counsultation. read more

If I could leave more than 5 stars for Dr Johnson and Dr Raz I would! I've had 2 very complicated cases and this practice has gone above and beyond for me. The staff is super friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this practice and feel I've even made a couple of new friends! read more

I was at the end of my orthodontic treatment with another provider and they noticed that I had significant mobility in my lower front teeth and gum thinning. My dentist referred me to another periodontist who gave me a doom and gloom outlook. I decided to ask my orthodontist for a recommended periodontist so I could get a second opinion and I'm glad I did! When you first enter Dr. Johnson's practice you immediately feel welcomed. His staff are very friendly and professional. Dr. Johnson had his staff take imagery and when reviewing it with me, I immediately could tell the vast experience he had over the other periodontist. He was able to tell me what he could do and gave me a good faith sense of what the outcomes will be. Not to mention he had a great sense of humor. He coordinated with my orthodontist to have some additional movement performed on my teeth in preparation for the gum augmentation procedure. Then the day finally came for my procedure. I tried joking with Dr. Johnson expecting the humor I had during the initial visit and he didn't respond. He was in game mode! I'm glad he was because not only did the results meet the outcomes he said, but it exceeded it! I went from complete mobility and the potential for losing my lower front teeth to no mobility and gums restored! The office kept me well informed of the pre- and post- operative procedures. While they tell you that the stitches will loosen as healing occurs, I didn't realize how much and I panicked. I called to ask to be seen and they accommodated me quickly to trim them. The team there gets high-fives for the customer services and follow up. For those worried about pain... I had minor discomfort and soreness, but it wasn't throbbing pain or sharp pain. It was more of an annoyance than painful. I didn't need the pain prescription and was able to simply use tylenol. I will definitely continue to visit Dr. Johnson for any future periodontic needs. read more

There is no better oral surgeon in southern California than Dr. Johnson. No one with his level of expertise and experience, using the best implant materials and design, with the latest in technology application and equipment, as well as an expert in pain management that permeates the incredible service you get from his very experienced, knowledgable and always friendly staff. I now have had five implants installed by Dr. Johnson along with some additional oral surgery. The first implant was 17 years ago. Since then I have had multiple dentists comment when looking at X-rays of my mouth what a great job was done on that first implant. When a dentist I was currently working with referred me to another oral surgeon, and after having a bad experience with them out of the gate, I knew I needed to find the one who did my first implant because I still had fond memories of the entire experience: his amazing skills, no pain, and over the top helpful and reassuring staff with an incredible result. After much searching, I was able to find him again and am so thankful I did. You will too if you select Dr. Johnson for your implants. read more

Went to bruce for a perio referral. His waiting room has fresh baked bread. He carefully looked over my mouth and made recommendations. Based on the recommendations his implant coordinator set up a pricing sheet. O M G. This guys prices beyond the stratosphere. He wanted 35K to do a few implants and some perio surgery. (Crowns are extra) He was charging hundreds at each appointment for sedation alone. (other dentists don't need to go to that extreme or $$). In addition there were things on the price list I could not need. I found a dentist 15 miles south that took most insurances and did only what was needed by looking for a normal dentist that also does perio and implants too. Saved a bundle (over 30K) and only charges $450 per q for laser perio surgery. If you like the sticker shock feeling......and fresh baked bread .....see Bruce. read more

Doctor Bruce Johnson and his team will surpass any expectation. Professional, skillful, compassionate, and friendly, not to mention the immaculate cleanliness and beautifully appointed office. The waiting area is spacious and the Keurig filled with beverage choices is tempting but I've never had to wait long enough to indulge. This is a dedicated team that has been together for many years and the office runs like clockwork. The energy is palpable and the classical music played is uplifting and calming. Put your dental trust in Dr. Johnson and you'll get to meet Shelly, Debi, and Larissa, to name a few. I'm glad I did. read more

My dentist has recommended that I get a gum graft and referred me to Dr. Johnson. I went for an initial evaluation, but was shocked at the price. I waited a year, and went back to him for another evaluation to see if the recession had increased (which it did slightly on one tooth, but not the others). I have a friend who is an orthodontist and when he looked at my gums, he believed they were not bad enough to warrant surgery at this time. He gave me a list of specific questions to ask before making my decision to spend such a huge sum of money. Dr. Johnson was not patient and his answers were very condescending. He may be a good surgeon, but his bedside manner is unacceptable. When I asked to get documentation of my evaluation and his recommendations, he said NO. THen when I reacted with disbelief, he retracted and agreed to give me my "records". I was only given one piece of paper with his notes next to a diagram of the tooth positions. Very difficult to read. Nothing that someone outside of the medical profession could understand. No specific recommendations other than "good candidate for CTG". I guess he expects me to understand that. No prices. And I payed 60 dollars to be insulted and belittled by the doctor---which by the way, he spent maybe 10 minutes with me. He made it clear that he did not appreciate my questions, and moreover he made me feel like an idiot for asking them. The only reason I gave two stars was because his his office staff was extremely kind and the office was very clean. I may still decide to go ahead with the surgery, but I will find a doctor willing to take the time to answer my questions in a kind, respectful manner. I will find a doctor who deserves my business. I would NOT recommend Dr. Johnson to anyone who has apprehension about the procedure. read more

Doctor Bruce Johnson is simply the best. I fractured my front tooth and was referred to him through my general dentist back in December of 2014. Since it was my very front top tooth I was very skeptical about how the results would turn out and how I would look afterwards. Doctor Johnson explained the entire procedure to me on the first visit, and since my tooth was about to fall out it was considered an emergency so he got me in the next day. From the beginning I felt like I was given the red carpet treatment from not only Doctor Johnson but the entire staff. One year later, I couldn't be happier with the results. Honestly, my fake tooth (crown) looks way better than my real tooth I lost. My gums are perfectly symmetrical, which Doctor Johnson explained to me was crucial to get right since my gums show when I smile. Yes, there are cheaper oral surgeons in San Diego but if you want your implant surgery done the right way and everything to look great when all is said and done, I highly recommend Doctor Johnson and his staff. If I ever need another implant, I would come back here in a heartbeat. read more

I was referred to Dr Johnson because I had a front tooth with a slight fracture in it above the gum line and it was causing a lot of discomfort. The gums surrounding it were inflamed and my general dentist felt that it needed to be handled by a specialist. Dr Johnson had the latest laser equipment to get under the gum and smooth out the wound which had been irritated to the point of being like ground meat surrounding the fracture. It was relatively non invasive and I felt no discomfort. It healed perfectly and quickly. I especially liked Dr Johnson's quiet manner and way of explaining the procedure to me. It was very soothing and I felt I was in good hands. I highly recommend his services. I liked his staff so much that I decided to go back to his office for my bi -annual teeth cleaning. His hygienist was extremely thorough, paying special attention to getting any plaque under the gum surface and measuring for pockets of recession. Every aspect of the office is professional. I will be going there regularly. read more

Dr. Johnson is an awesome dentist.  He really cares about his patients. I had a disastrous experience with a different dentist on an implant.  When I walked into my appointment with Dr.Johnson I was apprehensive about whether my problem could be fixed or what the process would be.  After I met with Dr.Johnson I had full confidence that he could correct the mistakes from the prior dentist.  I realized that this was going to be a long process, and painful at times, but I felt confident that I was in good hands.  All of the work has now been completed and I can truly say that my confidence was well placed.  Dr. Johnson did everything he said he would and more, and in such a caring way! When you talk to him you realize that he truly cares about his patients, it's not just a job. read more
