Dr. Bourcy is a Navy Veteran who continues to serve through the VA's Community Care program. I…read morereceived my "blind" referral to him (meaning, I had no previous knowledge of him or his office) around March of 2022. I had a consult first (1April2022). At that point, the office staff handled my referral and getting it updated to include a third area before scheduling my procedure. On the day of said procedure (21June2022), I arrived and the process got going rather quickly and smoothly. I opted to no sedation, so I could drive myself home. Honestly, even without sedation, I would have rather not driven--my pain was kinda mind deafening for the drive home. Dr. Bourcy numbed me up good! Sure the needles hurt a bit for the local, but that's to be expected. All-in-all the procedure for all three teeth (two areas, all right in the front--one upper, two lower) took 2hrs flat. Today (28June2022), I had my one week follow up and everything is going swimmingly well with my healing. **FOLLOW THE POST OP INSTRUCTIONS** Today, my palate stitches were removed and a follow up for one week from today was scheduled to see about removing the graft stitches. (I'm sure they'll come out then.) I finally got to see how my gums are looking today. (See, post op... don't pull at your gums to see them--leave them alone!) ***THEY LOOK AMAZING*** I'm thoroughly impressed with Dr. Bourcy, his assistants (shout out to Ashley, who I think may be a perio intern!), and the admin staff. This office is ran like a well oiled ship (pun somewhat not intended). For anyone not using insurance, the total for my three gum grafts was $3,583. Here's the breakdown: 1st tooth: $1378 (this was my upper, tooth 9) 2nd tooth (tooth 24): $1378 Add'l tooth (adjacent to 2nd tooth, tooth 25): $827 I'm so thankful for Dr. Bourcy and his staff--and his willingness to continue serving his civilian and military communities! THANK YOU DR. BOURCY!

I've heard many good things about Dr. Harbertson, and they are all true. But looking at it from a different perspective, beside being a nice person. Right away I noticed his his technique, quickly got me numb and didn't wait long to check the status and get started. He was able to remove all three roots with preserving bone. He place bone augmentation, which is very important if anyone is removing a tooth!! His suture technique was tight and clean. His assistant Donna was made me feel comfortable and had her station clean and prepared for Dr. As much as I never want to lose another tooth! If I did, Dr Harbertson is the dentist I will always come back too! Dr. Harbertson, thank you for being gentle and kind, but not only that, for taking the time to make sure the sight has minimal trauma.

I had not been to a dentist since my husband was in the military quite a few years ago. I had a bad experience and after that vowed to never go back. I was frightened!! as a result, my dental health declined terribly, broken teeth at gum line etc. In 2024, my husband died, we were married for 54 years, he was a retired 20 year Army veteran. In my grief, I found a miracle , named Dr. Miner. On a whim, I went in to see him, to this day, I can't figure out where I got the courage from .He was a blessing!! He was kind, honest and very professional. I trusted his words and recommendations. He took the fear out of me getting my teeth pulled and now, he has restored my faith in dentistry again. In my opinion, he is the best of the best!! My name is Dawn C. and I stand behind my comments! Thank you Dr. Miner again.

I called Dr. Miner's office on Monday afternoon and the doctor agreed to see me Tuesday morning for consultation and possible surgery. He was able to do the surgery and remove both teeth with the speed I comfort I never experience before. It was just "top, top and pull" and the tooth was gone. Wow, it was amazing and Dr. Miner is amazing and absolutely the best! Today, I'm still doing great, no pain and no bleeding! I think Dr. Miner is the best oral surgeon in the San Diego area. He is also supper nice and made me feel comfortable and safe before and during the procedure. I was very, very scared but he was able to calm me down and still performed the surgery without sedation. In fact, the whole team in doctor Miner's office is super nice and welcoming.

I have to say also…read morethat good dental care, in my experience, has been harder to find than any other medical specialty. Well, I've found the gold standard. Due to both surgery and excellent care by the hygienist , John Divinagracia, my mouth is healthier than it has been in 20 years. This office keeps both doctors and staff trained on the most advanced thinking and technology, and it pays off in terms of patient care and outcome. Encinitas periodontics has my highest recommendation. ,

I did not have a positive experience at this office. The girl at the front desk (can't remember her…read morename) is often quite rude on phone and in person. However, all the girls in the back are super nice, professional and great. I absolutely do not recommend Dr. Traxler. He was quite dismissive with me many times. He recommended I have a bone graft and osseous surgery for an ongoing issue I was having with gum along back molar. He knew that I had been on oral and IV bisphosphonate drugs but didn't advise me of some of the issues these could cause with surgery. I had major problems after surgery including two areas of bone exposure along the gum line and delayed healing. He was very dismissive during each after visit and said, I just need to have that tooth pulled. I had always told him that I wanted to keep the tooth as I knew pulling a tooth could lead to many other issues. But he did not want to work with me in preserving the tooth and/or helping me to get this area healed. He said there was nothing more he could do, just go to a surgeon. I immediately changed periodontists. The current doctor was kind, caring, professional and worked with me to save my tooth. And all areas of bone exposure have now healed. Please be careful with this office.
