Went there years ago. He made a nightguard that was so tight around my teeth it broke my two front (expensive) veneers when i put it on at night. Had them fixed by Dr. McMaster, a much better and excellent dentist around the corner. After multiple requests, his office still couldn't figure out how to provide more than one text reminder for dental cleaning appointments. For some reason, the dentist did not feel like a comfortable person to be around. Will never go back read more

Excellent Doctor and supporting team from billing to hygienist, the best . I started going to Dr Brilliant in Ramona and moved to his office in Escondido . Both outstanding outcomes. read more

Dr. Brilliant and all who work with him are amazing professionals and people. I am so lucky that I found Dr. Holtz 30 years ago at this same Escondido location and when Dr. Holtz retired, he found Dr. Brilliant! I trust this team of professionals with my dental care especially as I...and my teeth...get older! Thanks to doctors and staff for their hard work and dedication. read more

Dr. Brilliant is an absolute gem! I guess there is a stereotype out there that people dread going to the dentist...I wouldn't know because I have Dr. Brilliant. If you are anxious, he and his staff will immediately put you at ease. This is a judgement-free environment, so even if you have been putting off going to the dentist for awhile and are scared of what they will find in your mouth - don't be! You will NOT be judged or criticized by this amazingly kind and fantastic dentist. My smile stays sparkling thanks to Dr. Brilliant, and just writing this review is making me anxiously await my next 6 month appointment! Take yourself, take the kids, go see Dr. Brilliant today! read more

I absolutely enjoyed meeting Dr. Brilliant and his beautiful staff. Everyone there make you feel very welcomed. It is obvious that it is a practice where they have all worked together for a long time. Dr. Brilliant comes to the waiting room to get his patients. Welcome to you and then take you back to the exam room. As a new patient to spend a few moments just talking to me. That is the first time of any dentist I've been to since I've moved here from Cincinnati. read more

I highly recommend Brilliant Dental! Dr. Todd Brilliant and his staff went over and above to treat my grandmother, who is in her 90s. Dr. Brilliant has an incredible bedside manner, and helped make difficult decisions easier for us when it came to extracting teeth. He personally helped with getting grandmother's bridge adjusted. Brilliant Dental's service, expertise, and caring team made the drive to Escondido well worth it. read more

Dr. Brilliant and his team are wonderful. They've cared for our two year old's first chipped tooth, our eight year old's extraction (she barely flinched!), and my husband and my routine exams and cleanings. Everyone in the office is so kind and caring. We've never felt pressured to perform any 'unnecessary' procedures, and we're treated more like family than patients. Unfortunately Brilliant Dental is not covered by our insurance, but we love the office so much that we choose to pay cash. Needless to say, we highly recommend Dr. Brilliant! read more

I had a great experience with this dentist, his staff, and even scheduling my appointment. The office is cutting edge: they take digital x-rays that you can look at immediately, they showed me my teeth with a little camera as they talked to me about what they saw, and the cleaning was comfortable and painless. They treated me like an adult, rather than scolding me for not flossing enough. =) They even gave me a CD of relaxing music for being a new patient! The office manager also offered to check which procedures my insurance would cover, so that I can decide what I can afford to do and schedule accordingly. I appreciated that they weren't trying to sell me anything or suggest work that I didn't need. The entire staff was kind and seemed honest. read more

A co-worker recommended this place to me, so I thought I'd give it a try, and I was impressed! Scheduling was easy, and quick too. Their office is very clean and has a nice relaxing feel to it, and the ladies working the front desk were very nice as well. I got my X-Rays done, and had a cleaning. Cathy was my dental hygienist and she did a meticulous job. Dr. Holtz was very nice when he came around to examine my teeth after the cleaning. They sent me a preview of the bill vs what insurance paid, etc. So I waited for my bill to come, and it had been about a month so I called them and said, "I haven't received my bill yet" and she replied with, "Oh it was only $3.00 after insurance, so we picked up the bill for you." Which I thought was very nice! I can't guarantee that they do it for everyone that has a small bill, but I thought that was very kind of them. I went back just yesterday, and it was one of the few times in my life that I clearly remember not dreading going to the dentist. I had my routine cleaning, and they sent me on my way with my little goodie bag of dental accessories. I recommend this place! They are fantastic! read more

4 stars: Yay! I'm a fan. I'm a 19 year old who went in to get his teeth whitened. My appointment was at 1:30. I arrived a few minutes early and waited perhaps 10-15 minutes. They had sports magazines, a picture book of qualcomm stadium, and pamphlets as reading material. A noteworthy one was about why dental insurance is so complex (too terse, for i think). I was then approached by Christy (nurse? hygienist?), a cheerfully friendly person who laughed at having the same name as my previous dentist. She took me to a beautiful room (spotless windows, view of palm trees), reset the monitors (had some guy's x-rays), and went to copy my records (i switched dentists). National geographic magazine was on the wall. 2 minutes later, Dr. Holtz came and introduced himself. Jolly fellow laughed at having to live up to high expectations when i mentioned that my dad recommended him and joked about how he didn't know the "internet became this slow" when I mentioned that it'll take up to 2 weeks for x-rays to transfer from my previous dentist. He went with a in-mouth exam, checked for cancer, asked about my wisdom teeth, mentioend that sealants for adults are useless (gotta ask why next time), and basically decided that he'll wait on the x-rays. He then explained to me the 3 whitening options (in office, take-home custom tray, take home tray) and said the custom tray is "the golden standard". Also was the first out of 3 to tell me why i should correct my overbite (apparently, lower teeth is imprinting into gums and slowly pushing them back as I chomp, though he said it's not an immediate concern). He then left and Christy made molds. Fun person, mentioned her kid. Took her 3 tries to get my upper teeth mold correct because my overbite is evil. They also pamphlet explaining the benefits of different fillings as I left. I'm picking up trays next week.Total cost was $420 for the whitening custom trays. Insurance covered the exam (~$100) edit: I'm not judging skill because I do not know enough about the field to do so. read more

After ten years of veneers done by another dentist (fail), and Dr. Brilliant "fixing" the poor dental work of the previous dentist, Dr Brilliant and his wonderful team replaced my smile with 8 perfect crowns! From the front office support of Joey, her encouragement and above and beyond billing efforts with insurance, etc. to Dr. Brilliant and his assistant's wonderful "chair side" manner and TLC, if there were ten stars, that still wouldn't be enough! You won't be disappointed with Dr Brilliant and staff! read more

Very professional practice. They never leave you waiting, and always see you at your appointment time. All the very best and newest technology. Marci is absolutely the best hygienist you will find anywhere! read more

Dr. Brilliant knows how to calm the savage beast that is my 3 year old. My son refuses to be compliant with any other doctor but actually likes going to the dentist now! Dr. Brilliant always gives great advice about home dental care and patiently listens to all of our questions. I highly recommend Dr. Brilliant for your child, especially if you've had a poor experience elsewhere. read more

Dr. Brilliant really is brilliant! And so so kind. I've neglected going to the dentist for a few years because they scare me. Well it was long over due and I ended up needing a root canal and Dr. Brilliant made my experience so much better. I was super nervous but him and his team made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. I was so overjoyed at the end I wanted to give them all a hug. But obviously I didn't because that'd be weird and covid. Anyways, if your like me and you put going to the dentist off because it gives you anxiety believe me when I tell you going to Dr. Brilliant will set your heart at peace. He's honest but very kind. He listens and cares about your needs and your experience. If I could give a million stars I would!! read more

I'm very happy that I found this place! The entire staff is very friendly and they do a very thorough job. My teeth have been taken care off well! read more

Dr Brilliant is the best around! I have had a lot of dental work done by many different dentists and he's far and away the best! Dr. B is careful, gentle, precise, and puts me at ease immediately. He is honest and takes a conservative approach to dentistry which I appreciate. His office staff and assistants are great to work with too. And come on... his name is Dr. Brilliant! You can't go wrong! read more

Dr. Brilliant is the best dentist! I'm very discerning about health care providers for my family so I do my research wherever we go. A few moms at school take their kids and themselves to Dr. Brilliant and said they were very happy with the office. I have to say, initially I was hesitant because I was really looking for a pedodontist for my son and not a family dentist because I want him to start off life with positive associations with the dentist. Despite my concerns, I decided to try Dr. Brilliant only because a few really selective people were so happy with him. I'm so glad that I took the chance!!   Dr. Brilliant and his entire team always do a great job keeping my son calm and happy during the visit. My son plays with toys in the waiting room and watches videos on the ceiling while in the dental chair. They teach him how to brush his teeth using a puppet named Flossie. It's really an adorable presentation. There are two great perks to a family dentist that I didn't anticipate. 1) I don't have to make two separate visits to take care of me and my son's dental care. 2) Seeing a family dentist is more cost effective than a pedodontist. I compared our fees to a friend's and these fees were significantly cheaper!  My own experience as a patient has been phenomenal. I learn something new from my hygienist Maureen everytime I go and Dr. Brilliant gives a great shot. They're seriously painless!!! Anyway, I can't recommend Dr. Brilliant and his office enough. I highly recommend them! read more

I've known Dr. Brilliant for several years and he is an excellent dentist and person. He lives up to his audacious surname with a kindness and charisma that cannot be faked. I recommend him without reservation for children and adults alike. read more

There are places I give five star reviews to because they fulfill every expectation that I have. Then there are organizations like Brilliant Dental where they blow me away every step of the way! Each and every person there always goes above and beyond my expectations. I've been going there for years and have really great experiences with Christy and Mary. They're so warm and friendly and have an amazing memory for what's been going on with my family. Dr. Brilliant is sharp and empathic. He spends way more time with me than I expect, getting to understand my complex health issues and come up with a treatment plan that really works and isn't going to create other problems (as has happened to me in the past at previous doctors). I am so grateful to have a dentist that I completely trust! Thank you so much to the entire team! read more

My 7 and 9 year old children had several cavities each, which could have been a very traumatic dental experience. Thanks to Dr. Brilliant, they had their cavities filled, and a tooth pulled, and are still looking forward to their next visit. Between the treasure box, laughing gas, and Dr. Brilliant's excellent manner they had nothing but a positive experience. I too am a loyal patient, after having been with Dr. Holtz for 20 years and now seeing Dr. Brilliant, this is the most ethical dental practice I have found. read more

I had my first cleaning and exam at Brilliant Dental yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. From the front desk, to the hygienist, to Dr Brilliant himself, the whole office was so welcoming and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Brilliant and his staff to everyone. read more

Great staff, friendly & professional, are there to help & get your questions answered about your treatment or insurance coverage. Dr. Brilliant is great! He knows his craft well, professional (but friendly), & concise. We are so glad our orthodontist recommended him! Our dentist didn't take our new insurance , so here we were looking for a new dentist. Dr. Brilliant we are so lucky to have found you. We love our dentist!! read more

Used to be the office of Dr. Holtz. Dr. Brilliant took over. Staff is the same, nice as always and the new doctor is nice and very informative. The only complaint I really have is that I was quoted that a procedure would cost one thing and it ended up being more so I wasn't really prepared to pay the new amount? They let me do payments so that made it better, since when I got the bill I panicked a bit. But I've been going to that office for a long time, since my son was 5. He also still goes there and he's 22 now... that should say something.. read more

Let me start by saying that my childhood dental experiences left permanent scars on me. Dr. Brilliant's sense of humor and care have helped me moved past this. I am not going to say I like going to the dentist now but at least when I do feel MUCH less anxiety. This dentist senses and responds to the fact that I need TLC. I also like that he takes me on time, this is no small benefit. Like most people these days, my personal schedule is tight and I feel the office recognizes that my time is also valuable and that matters greatly to me. read more

I have been to many Dentists however none as professional and courteous as this group. Dr. Holtz and his staff are truly the best dental professionals I have ever encountered. Very honest and skilled. Dr. Holtz is extremely accomplished and detail oriented with decades of experience. He is a great person and undoubtedly the best dentist I have ever been to. His hygienists are very skilled professionals who do an outstanding job. They are also very detail oriented, highly trained, and experienced. His administrative staff is great with scheduling, billing, records, insurance, and customer service. I will go on record as saying you will not find a finer dentist and group of skilled professionals anywhere. Dr. Holtz and his entire staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make your dental experience the best possible. As far as dental work goes, Dr. Holtz delivers the finest in fillings, cosmetic dentistry, caps, crowns, sealants, etc. I have been going to Dr. Holtz for years and have been meaning to write a review for a long time. I have been to many dentists over the past 42 years and have never been to a dentist that even comes close. I have never had any problems with any of the work that Dr. Holtz has done. They use state of the art technology and only the best materials. There are so many dentists out there that are only interested in selling you unnecessary services and are only interested in making money. My son went to a dentist in Temecula who told him he had three teeth that were badly decayed and needed three major fillings. I requested copies of his X-rays and immediately took my son to Dr. Holtz. He looked at the X-rays and my son's teeth. Dr. Holtz determined that there was nothing wrong with my son's teeth and that he did not need any fillings at all. Dr. Holtz and his staff have been in business for a long time and are most interested in providing exceptional service to better their customers lives. They truly take pride in what they do. Thank you Dr. Holtz and staff for years of exceptional service. You all are the best. read more

We love Dr. Brilliant! Dr Brilliant is seriously one of the best dentists I've come across, and I've been to several dentists in the area due to my horrible gums and nighttime teeth grinding. Dr. Brilliant is professional, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. He is also great with my two kids. He has two young boys of his own, so he has first hand knowledge of how to deal with squirmy and/or fearful little ones (I have one of each!). Having the ability to use the same dentist for my whole family is a big plus. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Brilliant to any of my friends! Thank you Dr. Brilliant!! read more

Dr. Brilliant had very large shoes to fill when he took over for Dr. Holtz, but I can tell you, he has filled them "Brilliantly". I would like to share with my fellow Romanians out there, about my fabulous dentistry office-Dr. Brilliant (GREAT name for a dentist , right? , Call it destiny), located locally (hooray!) at 23676 San Vicente Rd Ramona, CA 92065 in the Country Village Market Mall , here in the San Diego Country Estates. His office can be reached at (760) 789-2882 Dr. Brilliant , has taken over the practice of long time local dentist, Dr. Chintalla. I've been a long time patient of Dr. Chintalla, who i loved! Seeing him was as relaxing as a trip to the spa. Now, i do not do well with change, so when i had learned his practice was changing ownership, i was very nervous, leary & unsettled. Lets face it, how many of us really look forward to our dentist visits. Understandably,I did NOT want to give this treasure of a rare find up. THANKFULLY! My new dentist , Dr. Brilliant is BRILLIANT! He and his fabulously loving, giving ,thoughtful wife, Sharon (as we know behind every successful man, there is a GREAT woman, right?!) have given this long time practice a more modern face lift complete with state of the art equipment /tools, ceiling televisions, beautiful flooring & furnishings, while adding a warm family feel, the BEST customer service, and topped it off with professional ,exceptional dentistry service and results. NOT an easy feat! On a more personal note-Sharon Brilliant has gone above and beyond to make we clients feel like part of her valued family. Example-At Christmas, i came home to such a pleasant surprise....At my doorstep was a beautiful floral snowman arrangement. In addition, my 8 year old , LOVES her trips to see Dr. Brilliant & staff. The entire staff (Kathy, Glenda, Kandace,...) are so gracious, loving & kind. She gets treasure box treats, plays with the great toys they have available & BEST of all, she feels like we got to visit family! THANK you to Dr. Brilliant, His AMAZING Wife, Sharon, and AWESOME staff, for providing me ( an exhausted homeschooling, two business owning, teaching, stay at home mom) the best, relaxing, professional, beautiful white-healthy smile& friendly experience i could possibly ask for! Check them out for yourself, i guarantee you will NOT be disappointed read more

This office is "brilliant." Yes, what fun, the dentist's name is Dr. Brilliant. But joking aside. I love this dental office. They are so good at what they do and kind. If you have had experience in the past with wariness of going to the dentist, this office will help you. The wait is almost nonexistent. I especially love my hygienist, Marcie. I always thought I took good care of my teeth and, with her help, I love taking care of my teeth. I (and my husband) highly recommend this office and the entire staff. read more
