She arrived with a helper well ahead of time, was extremely attentive to the details of our venue and the timing, after we had aperitifs outdoors she suggested a group photo and offered to fill in as photographer. This was a great idea since it was the golden hour and nothing we could have staged as well later at the table. The food was supposed to be served in courses, with replenishment when needed. Instead all the food was served at one time, and the lamb chops and filet mignon were only slightly more than luke warm. When several tables asked for more lamb chops, they were told they were all gone, and one guest did not get even one lamb chop. Yet there were lamb chops available on other tables and at least 20 were taken back to Cotati. If the food was served in courses, it could have been served hot. If your service is family style, be sure that you insist that left over food be left on premises. Ours was not and we were told it was thrown away. After several messages to the owner, it turns out the left-overs were put into a refrigerator in Cotati. We went down the next day to retrieve them, and found there was quite a bit left over.

The buffet was very good, with roast beef with horseradish, grilled chicken with a cream mushroom sauce, mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, green salad and rolls. A chocolate brownie cake was served for dessert, however, i didn't try it. The setting was warm and elegant with the round tables and black tablecloths. A stage was set up to announce special awards and to honor our fallen and those we lost in the last year. It is pretty certain that the reunion luncheon will continue to be held a Sally Tomatoes, and they have never let us down.

At our first tasting, he had already gone to his local pupusa spot to analyze the timing, and watch the whole process. He hadn't done pupusas before, but had the drive, determination, and confidence to pull it off for us. When our wedding day came, we along with every one of our guests were absolutely blown away by the quality of every bit of food and drinks that they provided us all with. He was able to find the wife of a Salvadoran friend, and her mother, to help him make them all fresh on our wedding day, on a plancha that they were able to bring. The vibe was incredible, the food was impeccable, and even the Salvadorans attending were incredibly impressed. From the yucca fries to the plantain chips, from the guacamole to the curtido, from the coffee to the agua frescas, from the salsas to the amazing service, from the compostable serving ware to the incredible bartender. Although Rob, the owner, generously offered a tasting session before a few catering jobs in Novato, my schedule was too hectic. I took a leap of faith and booked them to cater my husband's 50th birthday--and I'm so glad I did! The food was absolutely off the hook. From the moment they pulled up their 20-foot BBQ rig in front of my house, it was an experience. They set up tables, provided linens, and had 3-4 people BBQing on-site, which really added to the party's vibe. My guests loved chatting with them as they came in. The honey butter and bread were so flavorful, and the chicken was incredibly juicy. Being Italian, I was initially skeptical about the pasta salad, but it exceeded expectations. And as someone who's never been a fan of baked beans, theirs completely converted me. All future beans will have to measure up! What really impressed me was how seamless the entire service was, from set-up to clean-up. They made the entire event feel effortless, and the pricing was very reasonable.
