If you're looking for a dessert option, this is a great place. Highlights - lots of chocolate treats and fancy desserts. We tried the Oreo Raspberry Cake. It was super moist, decadent, and heavy. Great cake slice, we really enjoyed it. The annoying part was that I ordered bourbon balls and I instead got some sort of vanilla truffle. I'm not a local but I'm pretty sure I didn't get bourbon balls. Didn't taste anything like bourbon at all. I was very disappointed since that is what I initially came in for and we didn't realize the mistake until much further in the day. The cake slice saves the review from being any lower but paying $12 for something I didn't want is annoying and ruins the experience somewhat. That is why quality counts from beginning to end. I still recommend trying this place out but make sure you check what you order so that you get the right thing.

First, only a couple items in the case even had labels or prices, so I literally had to ask what an item was. The store associate seemed to get annoyed at telling me what the items in the case were but how do you expect me to know if you don't label your items? and i only even asked what 3-4 items were out of 15+ in the case. even though she told me what a couple of the items were, I have no idea how much they were. I asked the price on the viral fruit thing and she responded "they range from $10-$20". There were three choices of those and I guess it was too much trouble to say the price of each one I wanted to try one of the viral fruit moose things, but after the way the store associate acted I decided to pass. There were definitely some things that looked really good, but I'm not going to purchase if they're rolling their eyes at me and acting like I'm bothering them asking about the things they are selling. I'll give it another shot in the future. We'll see what happens Summary: 1. Make sure items in the case are labeled with a product name, short description, and price. 2. Train the people who represent your store what customer service is and how to really sell the product when someone's asking about it I didn't even get to try anything yet so this review is 100% based on customer service interaction and store display information. I know there has been dreams with this business in the past about low reviews - so I'm a real person and I've been elite on Yelp for 6 years. It isn't hard to find me if you want to for verification.

Oh hey there Chocolate Holler! I dig the new location :)…read more Located in Greyline Station, it was much easier to find parking here in the large lot behind the building versus the tiny lot at the previous location. It's been exactly one year since we last visited that old location, which has since closed. Though I have many years of memories tied to that one, I'm glad to see that business didn't close entirely. We were welcomed by a super-friendly and super-helpful barista who answered any of my "what is vegan?" questions. I ordered a Sipping Chocolate made with Davao, Philippines Dark Chocolate by Askinosie. Pinay-me was curious to taste chocolate by my people. It's delicious! https://bit.ly/3JHeBQL Hubby had the Brownie Batter Hot Chocolate. Also tasty! We actually came back five days later and had the Chocolate Chai. Yum! All of our drinks were made with oatmilk. Although this location is smaller than the OG location, it actually is very space-efficient with an abundant amount of tables and bar height seating. Also, a bit of outdoor seating and a few spots to sit around Greyline Station. They brought over remnants from the previous location such as board games and a collection of coffee sleeves with written messages on them.

That was a pleasant surprise. The ambiance is very casual and welcoming. We both wanted some coffee and have never been to the chocolate holler so we came here. I had the white blossom drink and my husband had the sleeping bear. Both of our drinks were pretty good. Wish more espresso was given without extra charge but that seems like most places these days. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the drinks were tasty. Would definitely come back here when craving unique chocolatey treats.

They are a tiny store, you can easily miss them, but they do set right off the road with good signage. The lot is small, but adequate. My visit was on a weekday in the Spring and they were not busy. I was greeted warmly and offered a sample of one of their well know bourbon candies with a single pecan on it. Of course I enjoyed and have actually had before. They make the chocolates for many of the distilleries in the area and have for decades. The business itself dates back to 1919. I did not do a tour, but it appears they offer. Ruth's offer a lot of variety and I do mean a lot! They also some of the branded boxes like Makers Mark. The service was top notch as everything was explained. I decided on a non bourbon chocolate so my wife could enjoy too. So I ordered a half pound of three varieties of chocolate (white, dark, milk) with almonds. The chocolate's in the case are put in their own box, as opposed to the gift boxes. I really enjoyed after returning from my trip, wife too! Easy 5 stars and will return at some point.

I was greeted upon stepping through the door and offered a sample bourbon ball. It melted in my mouth. It was sooo good. They had some Valentine shaped chocolate lollipops and lots of KY/Derby/Bourbon themed items. I'm so glad they are open.
