I came as a walk-in to get a signature of an artist I love, Deadmau5 after meeting him and having him sign my leg at RedRocks last night. Got my nose pierced by Tiffany! She is super friendly and by far the best piercer I've been to, seriously. I didn't feel when she pierced my nose, and the last time it was done I felt my nostril was ripped in half. She was incredibly knowledgeable on how to treat the site at home and what to avoid. I will definitely be back to see her in the future. The facility held great Covid precautions: plexiglass, one guest in the lobby at a time, money cleaner (UV light), hand sanitizer and they gave you a bin to carry your belongings in so that your purse or jacket aren't on the furniture and tables (more risk of transmission). I went here as a walk in for my daith piercings on a Sunday morning (mid March). There was two other ladies who came in as well for piercings right he fore me. The lady at the desk was very nice and asked me to fill out a form asking DOB, name, and if I understood the risks, etc. I told her I wanted my daith pierced in both ears for migraine relief and she asked if I was sure if I wanted both done as sleeping wouldn't be pleasant. I told her that I was sure I wanted both ears done as I wanted to maximize my results for migraine relief. She said that was fine but just wanted to let me know sleeping won't be fun. After I filled out the paper work and paid (I want to say I paid $90 for both piercings and that's including jewelry) I sat down on a comfy couch and waited for my turn. When I was up Candace was extremely nice and welcoming. She told me that while she has had friends who found relief with the daith others have not. She marked both my ears with a pen and let me check the location in the mirror, I liked both of them! I laid down on the bed and she put my head on its side and counted down 3..2..1 bam done. The first(left) ear hurt but was more of a pressure thing. She was very comforting and was telling me to breath and that it's almost over. My right ear was a lot more painful then my left for some reason, however, the pain went away within a minute after she was done. After she was done with both ears she explained to me how to clean them and how to sleep so it wouldn't hurt as much. During my whole experience Candace was very friendly and didn't make me feel overwhelmed or like I should run out the door. If I'm the future I want another piercing I will be going to Candace without a doubt. It's now been about 4 months and my migraines are gone! Also, sleeping only sucked for the first night after that it wasn't painful at all. If you are wanting to get your daith pierced for migraine relief, DO IT! Continuing from google review- Drew Northcut/Coffin Dragger. I got home from the vet on 3% explained I needed to let my phone charge. The entire day of being at the vet Drew was incredibly aggressive& upset that I unfollowed him, which I do not understand y there was any concern. I had seen him every day since the tattoo& had been in contact, never ignoring him &in full communication w my cat being in the vet &how I cancled our 1st pay &when I could make another transaction once I got home &had enough battery. I even tried to put down another deposit w Drew for another appt. I invest in body mods I invest in art I was not going anywhere. I wanted to give him my business&$. Then Drew threatened theft charges was seriously the craziest/stressful day &most horrible experience of my life. I immediately sent the money on 1% hoping it wouldnt die. I just I needed some battery. I was in full communication. Idk what more I could have done. Not only did I have the most horrible day I was so innocent I want him paid! I'm not a thief &have incredible respect for other artists. I had called the shop to tell them my experience &they 0gave me an email if I wanted totalk to the owner. I had already made a consult w Alissa the day after my tattoo on Sun bc Drew was extremely rude to me about the healing questions I had& about how much blood was leaking into the bandage which I've never used before. I followed through w Alissa bc I wanted to continue w the shop regardless of the crazy negative experiences w Drew& put it behind me. Drew saw me waiting for Alissa &literally had me kicked out& I was given the owner's info again. I own my own modeling& hair business& I honestly was shocked- this place is a model of how I do not want to run a business or provide service. I knew that if I had already tried to share the experience w the shop before going to the internet w bad reviews and after investing so much &all they did was give me a email then why would the owner ever care. I tried many times to get it resolved when in reality if the owner/shop cared then they would have been contacting me after I complained when this incident 1st started. How much work do you want out/ the customer? I just wanted a tat& to pay for it I want to support artists. I couldnt use venmo even tho that's what I was told I could use prior to the tat, I downloaded& set up google pay, I was told to cancel the payment before waiting the process time, I asked if the time was ok& Drew was ok w it then wasnt ok& threatened theft after the 1st day bc I had unfollowed him I had no help w the healing/ bandage process. immediately had to make another transaction on venmo to get pay him once& for all- hassle, drama, threatened theft, aggression& all. 1% not being able to make sure my cat was ok coming home no shower/ food. It was crazy I got really sick after that day bc of all the stress. It took me 6 wks to heal my tat& now I'm not connected to the art that I'll have on my entire leg and be reminded of for life. No respect for their customers at all. We are your business. As a hairstylist, a service provider. I see so many holes in this business model, if it could count as one. Abuse& robery no one deserve this treatment when they are actually trying to show their body self love. tats r for life. This place& these tattooers r what's wrong w the industry. There are artists, tattooers then their is both. Talent is not everything it is the whole pie which is y an amazing tattoo artist who you can trust is extremely hard to come by. I've had all kinds of experience w body mods& I'll never take a fuckin chance again, I can tell u that. Gary's tats I just recently got this month have healed w in a couple days, they healed before the tat I got w Drew which was 7 wks ago. I have another huge tattoo invested w Gary in March, just healed 2 of his tats in 3days amazing artistry &application- Gary Dressler. entire experience is what matters ur going to have these tattoos for life a ton/ energy goes into them. This is YOUR BODY for life, ur giving urself body mods out of love enduring the pain is already a form of absuse dont abuse yourself more by emotional trauma also it is your hard earned money& body investment. wouldnt dare go to Bound By Design/ trust them for anything a piercing, a tat absolutely NEVER again. I have this experience& tat for life. Its hard to let go of the experience bc the tat reminds me everyday for the rest /my life. man, i wish i wasn't passing through Denver so I could make this my go-to place. i got a botched septum piercing in New Mexico before i left for my road trip. i tried to let it heal even though i knew something was wrong. one day, the anxiety and pain was unbearable. so I found this place. the two girls were so, SO nice and informative. they removed my botched septum free of charge. the piercer was so comforting and reassuring. i wish i could stay here for another month or two to have the same people repierce me! they're lifesavers......... possibly literally lol. read more

Turns out my piercings were still open and while they could have not told me (and I wouldn't have known) or just charged me anyway since the appointment took time from them, they did not charge me. I came in to get my nipples pierced a week ago by Tiffany and I'm extremely happy how it turned out! Piercings are on a walk-in basis, so there was a 30-45 minute wait. Tiffany is absolutely hilarious and is clearly knowledgeable and experienced in her profession, she ensured I understood the lengthy after-care process that would ensue following the piercing. As for the piercing themselves, she did a wonderful job making even markings on both nipples and checked with me to see if I liked it. It was a quick, and a rather painless process when she pierced them! The piercing process and jewelry are reasonably priced at $96 (don't forget to tip her as well!) This place sucks. Worst experience ever and scam. Save your money and go somewhere else. I don't live in CO, was visiting a friend and bought a gold nose hoop with a cubic zirconia ball and they changed out my older jewelry with purchase. The person at the front desk didn't say anything about the jewelry quality, definitely because I paid well over $90 for it. The piercer, however informed me while she had the ring halfway through my nose that most clients who purchase the same ring have trouble with the cubic zirconia and that the ball falls out immediately. But no problem, if this happens I can just come back into the store and they'll replace the ball (no charge mentioned) Of course, mine fell out an hour later. Maybe less. I returned to the shop and was told by the same associate at the front desk that I would have to pay ANOTHER $90+ to replace the entire ring - even tho the only part that fell out was cubic zirconia. Basically the associate informed me that I would have no way to get part of it replaced and would have to place it instead with a small opal stud or something which is fine but not what I paid for nor what I wanted. Clearly their hands were tied but in no way where they helpful. They suggested I come back later to speak to the owner who ive tried to get in contact with By calling the store (I don't live in state) and was told I'll "get a call back." I got another ball put in by another piercer that afternoon just so I wouldn't have part of the hoop sticking out. That piercer told me the shop KNOWINGLY sells those rings with Cubic zirconia even though every person who purchases it has the same issue, because "they bought too many of them wholesale and are too expensive to get rid of" so they're trying to sell the rest of the hoops. They refused to refund me, did not specify anything clear, and are selling faulty jewelry. Total nightmare. I've never dealt with anything like this at any piercing place or other retail. read more

My husband and I called them on a Wednesday night to ask if they ever take walk-in appointments. The woman on the phone said "it's unusual but I do have time now open but that's rare, usually you need an appointment." So we live 5 minutes away so we decided to pop over since it was a simple tattoo. Another woman at the front desk finally helped us and when we mentioned we were hoping for a walk-in, she was completely offended and said they never do that. We were confused and told her about the call. "I never said that!" she said. Oh ok cool. No problem. Can we make an appointment? She snidely said "You contact the artist, I don't get paid enough to make their appointments." Uh OK - a simple no would do. No need for a giant snotty attitude. We both have tattoos - in fact, my first tattoo was done at this very shop by a walk-in appointment 10 years ago. Guess this place isn't as friendly as it once was. This place is awesome! For piercings, Tiffany or the guy (I think there's only one) are both great. Tiffany I have seen for most my piercings and she is so caring and thorough on what to do after and clean and painless in the process. And cool as hell! The 2 of them and their customer service in itself makes me wanna get more piercings! They will change your jewelry out after your piercing as well. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I have had one front desk employee that did not treat me so well or have good customer service on 2 separate occasions. I haven't seen the person the last few times I was in though so I am not sure if they still work there. read more

found Bound by Design here on Yelp and decided to pop in for that nostril piercing I've been wanting for a while. The girl at the front was nice. She had me fill out some paperwork and once I was done, pulled out 2 cases of jewelry. She wasn't super helpful. It would have been nice to have had some help, since I was pretty ignorant to the diff kinds of jewelry...but, in her defense, there were several people walking in n out/around the shop, so i didn't really care. They had an alright selection (starting at ~27 bucks for basic studs) however, it would be awesome to be able to see the jewelry from a different angle, because once it was in my nose, I felt like it was too big (for me). cant really tell the size of the jewelry in the case they display it. all in all, that experience was ok. the piercing part!!! I had Candace take care of me. I would go back to her in a heartbeat! I was super anxious/nervous. She calmed me down and assured me that she would make it as quick and painless as possible. She did so gooood! It was done and I was ready to go in under 1minute. pain was tolerable. she was quick and gentle. its been 6 days since I got it pierced and its healing exceptionally well. Like, barely hurts well! The first time i pierced my nostril, I said I'd never do that again..it was a horrible experience... but I am so glad I did it, and so happy to have had Candace work her magic on me. The tattoo is good. But I hate that the memory of this tattoo is tainted with just garbage customer service and insulting attitudes. This "too cool for you" mentality doesn't work. There are plenty of other better tattoo parlors where the people are actually nice. You're a tattoo artist, you're not some ground breaking hero. Get over yourself. I came here to get some new tragus jewelry. First off, I liked the different options for jewelry they have, the place I originally got it done only had one option. Everyone was really nice and the guy who put the earring in was really cool, he made sure I wasn't in too much pain. He ended up changing the size of the earring 'cuz the one I originally chose, was too big and it would've hurt a lot more to get that in. He did an amazing job overall. The shop itself was very clean and it had a very comfortable atmosphere. I'll define be coming back for more piercings and for future tattoos probably! read more

Got my first tattoo done by drew. He was super nice and professional about what to expect and how to care for my tattoo. He gave me a list/recommendations of soaps and lotions to use and taught me how to keep my tattoo clean during the healing process. He let me take breaks when needed and checked if I liked the design and location I chose multiple times before starting to tattoo me. After two weeks of following directions my tattoo feels good and healed even though my skin is super sensitive. I think the price was pretty decent for what it was worth, doing research I found tattoos are expensive. I felt for the professionalism, cleanliness, and attitude $100 was pretty ok. I was concerned that he used plastic wrap to cover it instead of the medical grade bandage, but it turned out fine. He washed the tattoo a few times and washed his hands and changed his gloves whenever he had to come in and leave the room, so I assume it's pretty clean (I'm a cna so my clean and tattoo shop clean might be slightly different). read more

I have been going to get my piercings done here for over 4 years and have many successful and healed piercings! I love Maya and Candace in particular and have always had a great experience with them. The studio is always clean and they are super organized. My only complaint is the front desk people are always so off putting. I really do enjoy going here and I understand they have to deal with some weird people but it can be bit of draining experience when it should be a fun one! I was in the market for a new nose ring since mine was about 100 years old* so I looked on Yelp to find the closest place I could purchase one. In this case I was definitely looking for convenience and Bound by Design was my answer. For some reason on the drive over I got really ballsy and said to myself, "Self, today is the day you are going to get those second earring piercings you've always wanted!" Because, you see, I'm a pretty big baby when it comes to needles. I can't even watch the doctor give my son a shot or take my blood without feeling all woozy. BUT, I've wanted a second hole in my ear for at least a decade. What can I say? It takes me a while to work up to commitments like this. I walked into Bound by Design and squared away my nose ring purchase and then asked if they had time to pierce my ears. Was I secretly hoping they'd say no? I'm not going to say because it's a secret silly. Either way they said yes, and a lovely girl who was also named Tiffany could piece my ears. Oh, hai fate. I went into a back room and laid on a thing that was much like my chiropractor's thing to lay on, which is probably also something like a tattoo chair since they do those here. I don't know from experience though so I'm sticking with chiropractor. The other Tiffany was getting things ready when I blurted out my intense fear of needles. She simply laughed and said, "I hate to tell you, but I'm going to disappoint you today because you probably won't feel a thing." She also likened the sharpness of her piercing needle to a "hot knife cutting through butter." And I have to say, it really was that easy. I think my son has pinched my ears and made it hurt more than my piercing did. $40 and 15 minutes later I was out the door with two new earrings and a sense of accomplishment. And now, I have a second place to wear all my amazing earrings. Preface: I am the type that is super intimidated by tattoo parlors. I only have my ears pierced, no tattoos, and my version of being rebellious was getting my tragus pierced. I know, it's rather pathetic. I walked into Bound by Design, and announced my plan for a piercing. The artist, whose name I can't remember, was very professional. She had tattoos and piercings galore, and though it would have been very easy for me to feel out of place, she made me feel nothing but comfortable. As for the piercing, she talked me through what would happen. She cleaned everything thoroughly, used gloves, and was very quick and efficient. It hardly took long enough for me to even think about being uncomfortable. Afterward, and this is embarrassing to admit, I stood up and was feeling super woozy. I must have swayed a little bit, because the tech grabbed my shoulders and assisted me in sitting down. Then, she offered me some apple juice and peanut butter crackers and encouraged me to eat before leaving. Again, she was beyond friendly the entire time. I felt respected and as a result, I will go back for any future piercings and/or tattoos. read more
