Their bacon egg and cheese croissant sandwich is excellent too, with a nice kick from red pepper flakes that most breakfast sandwiches skip. What really sets this place apart is the staff. My family and I ordered our sandwich to go, then spontaneously decided to stay and eat at a table instead. Without us saying anything, one of the staff noticed and asked if we'd like the food served on a plate. That kind of attentiveness isn't something you can train easily, it comes from people who actually care about the guest experience rather than just moving through a checklist. As a Christian, I also appreciated hearing worship music playing in the background, it added a warm, welcoming atmosphere. If you're near the airport and want quality coffee made with care, this is the spot.

Overall my experience was pleasant and I love the idea that I could get a decent cup of coffee while shopping for some groceries.

Jamaica Ave is known to locals of Jamaica Queens as "The Ave" so I thought that naming this place "The Avenue Cafe" was a really nice touch. The Avenue Cafe is definitely a hidden gem. I believe the small number of reviews is primarily due to its location. Tucked away in a food court which could only be accessed through an alley on Jamaica Ave or a side street (160th St), this cafe was not easy to find. Although the food court it is located in is no-frills, The Avenue Cafe actually put effort in establishing an inviting aesthetic that made me feel no different than if I were walking in my usual cafes in the city and I really liked that. The staff were courteous and they make your order quick! Best of all, they take card and Apple Pay (I didn't have cash on me that day and I was aware that just about every stall in that food court is Cash-Only). I only had their cold brew thus far but I'll absolutely be back to try the other items on the menu.

The term "Paris Syndrome" describes a psychological state of severe shock experienced by tourists…read more(in particular, first time visitors to Paris) who suffer immense disappointment from unmet expectations. Taste of Paris is not actually that bad. But it is pretty weird. The vibe is less Parisian cafe than hostile architecture. For one thing, there's a hole in the ceiling. It is not small. It's basically an entire missing ceiling tile. Like, there may be some kind of repair project or remodel going on? For another thing, it's rather dark for a coffee shop. It's dimly lit with very little natural light. And the walls seem green screen ready. Jarringly sparse but would make a great Teams background. All that said, the coffee is decent. I ordered off menu. A flat white, no sugar, no syrup. And it was solid. Which, in sum, leaves me at three stars. Two or below if you're drinking in, but maybe four if you're grabbing to go.

New location, ambience I think not, food they make the sandwich and when the cheese is melted, the sandwich falls apart, and nobody thinks twice of doubling the bags so that the sandwich can have a structure, not to fall apart! To make matters worse, I was handed my sandwich without napkins then when I asked for napkins and associate handed me to napkins, and I have a picture of the way it was handed to me and the condition because I was flabbergasted. I was like Dunkin' Donuts would never, and it was literally across the street, but I said let me give Starbucks a try because I've tried it in the airport and it's always a plus service. Mine knew that day was below freezing. You couldn't even have your hands outside for long without you losing your fingertips, if you're going to have an outside pick up, I would suggest you have a heated area where people can bait or at least a covered area where if it's snowed in the rain, we wouldn't get snowed on or wet in the rain

It's easily accessible right by the subway and the LIRR is very close by. Since it was private they ordered their food which was mostly pastries with various flavors/toppings. I wanted savory since it was dinner time so I opted for I think a red pepper pastry which was yummy! My friend actually bought their pastries. One was a mango dessert with white chocolate outer shell and mango mousse. It was good but a bit sweet due to white chocolate and the cream inside was rich and creamy mango flavored. I am watching my sugar intake so just had a bite to try. The other was a pistachio Dubai mousse and oh my! It was amazing! I definitely am returning for this. Also they served chai which I tried a little. And tea but I was afraid to try the tea bc I am very sensitive to caffeine which causes me to have a hard time falling asleep so I opted out. Private event but service wasn't bad. Just wondered why there wasn't water for the guests if they couldn't drink tea/chai.
