I loved and appreciated every little detail and can't wait to go back, we'll try to aim for the cabin with sauna access!

My boyfriend and I took a trip up to Central City as a little getaway from the hustle and bustle of living in Denver & staying at Skye Cottage was the best choice! We got to relax in a comfortable and cozy house, hang out with our hosts and their friends (y'all they're seriously so fun!), gamble a little, drink some tasty things, eat some top notch bbq (At Teller House- the restaurant Joe and Kara own), and spend some quality time together. It was a dream vacation and there's no doubt that is because of Skye Cottage. It has a bunch of mom and poo stores. This trip we went into their local museum which was cool and gave you a bit of history about their town. We all loved it and bought some cute souvenirs. Sometimes trips are hard to plan in advance, and we were ISO a spot with first come, first serve sites. Kudos to the universe for allowing the stars to align in our favor! + Along the Middle St. Vrain Creek + Two vault toilets located centrally between campsites + One fire ring (with grates) per site + Firewood available on property for $9 + Sizable tent pad, bear locker and picnic table + Walking distance to trailhead + Reservable and non-reservable campsites + 8 people allowed per campsite + Pets allowed We had an extremely enjoyable camping trip a few weeks back. Roughly an hour and a half from our house in Denver, Peaceful Valley Campground made us feel like we were thousands of miles away from civilization. For reference, the campground is about 8 miles away from the ever-popular Brainard Lake Recreation Area. We did experience some rain on Saturday afternoon which was a damper (pun intended). But because of that rain we were treated to the most spectacular rainbow and sunset. It was magical, just look at the pictures I got. The consensus was that we'd come back in a heartbeat next year. There's nothing better than going to sleep at night with the sound of a vibrant creek in the background. We're creekside campers and Peaceful Valley delivered an A+ trip for us!

One issue is that, because we booked after office hours, the info texted to us wasn't accurate and said we'd find a map and our space number at the front door. Nowhere could I see that the info was emailed (forgot 'd even entered our email). So we had to just find an unreserved space. The owner was very kind when I called and asked about the water spigot management. I really think this is a great place and highly recommend!

When we checked in, they modified our site to a better site that would give us some distance from other campers. It's nice to be able to spread out a little bit as it's not full season here yet. Site was very level, new picnic table and grassy area. The clubhouse is AMAZING- it's the best clubhouse we've ever seen in any campground. Just wow. Tons of comfy seating, indoor and outdoor seating; firepit, hanging chairs etc. there is a little kids playroom, a table gaming machine and a nice tv/couch area. If you were traveling as a group- this would be a super nice setup for gatherings. There is also a small outdoor playground and of course; a big wooden gopher. They have laundry facilities (we were on east side) and there were two big washers and dryers ($2 load / quarters). There is also very nice shower facilities in this clubhouse. There is a little library, a 'dog stick library lol- they even have a small basketball goal setup for the kids. You're about 30 minutes straight north of Denver on 25- make sure to take the time to go into the historic District of Longmont, what a great little area with tons of restaurants, bars, and shopping. We saw a notice on the clubhouse that sometimes they have food trucks come in too We paid about $75/night that included taxes.

We looked at hotels first, but then this little B&B popped up. We'd never stayed at one before, so we thought why not give it a try and I'm so glad that we did! The place is adorable and very, very charming! Not only is it adorable, it's very well kept and very clean! The staff was so friendly and professional. Our room was amazing and the bed was super comfy! It felt like we were staying at a friend's house rather than a hotel - but I suppose that's one of the charms about staying at a B&B! In the middle of the night, the hot water heater went out and the staff was quick to get it fixed and they discounted people's stays, which I thought was super rad of them. The breakfast was so good! It was definitely one of the healthiest breakfasts I've ever had, and not only was it healthy, it was tasty! We had veggies, eggs, fresh baked cranberry bread, fruit, and yogurt! They also had all kinds of teas to choose from. If I end up in Boulder again, I'm definitely going to book another stay! It was seriously lovely.

It was cozy and had a newly renovated bathroom with high end fixtures and a nice walk in shower. The best part about staying here are the personal attention, the incredible selection of lose leaf herbal teas and the breakfast that is served community style in the living room. It feels like you're eating at a friend's house. We had some delicious fresh gluten-free muffins. Pancakes looked fluffy and delicious, too bad I couldn't have them because they weren't gluten-free. Instead, they made me some scrambled eggs with veggies and GF toast. It felt very special and made with love. Free parking on property, and you're about a 20 minute walk from Pearl Street shopping. I would stay here again, no question.
